Good read. It was nice to hear this side of the story.

Great Book. Very captivating. I was only 9 years old when Nancy was killed, so I didn't know much of this story. I've heard bits and pieces, but this book explained it all. Made me feel very sad for Nancy, but moreso for her family and what they went through. They are a very strong family to have delt with such chaos in their lives.

A good read. Im almost done reading this book......... it will grab hold of you until you finish. Nancy Spungen was a nightmare child and then became an even bigger disaster/nightmare as an adult. I honestly dont know how her mother didnt smoother her at birth. After reading this book, you will be exhausted and have a different outlook on having children. Anyone could produce a child like Nancy (which I believe had Borderline personality disorder) and then have to live with and the madness. I dont know if Sid Vicious killed her, but if he did..... Im sorry to say, he did the world a favor. Nancy destroyed and ruined EVERYTHING and EVERYONE she touched. After you read this book, which is written by her mother (god bless her soul) you will defiantly see that all the hate the media spewed about Nancy was mostly true, and Sid was another one of Nancy's victims. He was no angel, but no one deserved Nancy.

This Book is Honest and Well Written. However I do not feel as others do in that I view Nancy as having been an extremely smart, and very good person inside. She just has a mental disorder and that is the many Drs faults that her mother sought out, who never helped them, dismissed them. Also the fact that she lived music and Rock n Roll and drugs have nothing to DO with being mentally ill. Tons of mentally sound individuals love punk and Rock and drugs and the underground life. Nancy had other, not connected to that issues. She needed real medical help her family was denied. I felt bad for them both, not just her mother. And I believe her and Sid were truly in love and that he did not murder her on purpose, if he even did, maybe he did not. New evidence suggests cops botched the investigation anyway. This book is very moving, but don't for one min think I am on the side of the Nancy hating masses.

And, I don’t want to live this life.. The author was very honest about herself, her family and especially about her daughter. This is a book for anyone who has a child damaged in childbirth who is physically perfect and above average in intellect but whose personality is difficult and who is impossible to diagnose. The last year of her daughters turbulent life is hard and possible discouraging to readers with a child like her but maybe this story will help with research and treatment.
