It just keeps gettignbetter and better. Okay people hold onto your hats. My mind has been blown away on this one. I got this book before you did because I am cool like that. :) (Okay, fine. Sorry for the snarkiness. My alter ego comes out at night and that is when I am writing this) Sorry, but this one is a little long. I really liked the first one, and generally the first book in a series is the best for me. Not so this time around. Honestly, this book was a good two and a half times better than the first one. And that is saying a lot because the first one was pretty fantastic. There are are couple differences in the writing from the first book to this one. The most obvious being the fact that the Pov's change. The first book was all Amelia. But this time it was like reading two books with Aidans POV thrown in. And now that I know more about Aidan, I like him more. He reminds me of that guy you friend zoned and then came to realize is super smexy after all. Yup, just like that. He has got some wicked cool powers and if I am kinda jealous of him. The second difference to me is the fact that more background is added to these characters in this book than the first one, which, kinda threw me at first because generally you come to expect that in the first book. You know, for bonding purposes. The first book was an appetizer, this one is the entree. The growth of this story is unfathomable (is that a word?) I think I will be reading it again. I will not be doing my character profiles because this is the second book in the series and it seems redendant to me. Although I gotta give a shout out to Dillon and Micah. Dillon, I just want to eat you up Little Man. And Micah, I am still rooting for you. I may have a few favorite quotes laying around. Hold on, let me look. Oh yeah! Here they are: As her passion intensified, I watched red overtake her blue irises and all I saw was blood spreading across ice. This time though, I wonderd whether it would be mine. I kept leaning down toward the map, squinting as I tried to figure out what exactly I was looking at. "What is this? What's behind the house? Is something wrong with the map?" "Good gravy Aidan. Haven't you ever seen the labyrinth?" Bethany had stayed fairly quiet during the discussion, and her voice coming from the corner of the room surprised me. "You know," she continued, "David Bowie? Hoggle? The babe? The babe with the power?" [That one cracked me up :)] Her darkness sucked the light of my flame into an abyss, like a black hole eating the particles of light and the pieces of stardust from the universe. But when he touched me, she would let go. Cheers

Enchanting Emotions. I started reading this series and fell in love with Aidan, but could also relate to Amelia. Her head strong mentality towards making things right gave me an emotion of needing to accomplish something. Aidan's love for Amelia in this book gets even stronger. Even though their bond is out of reach, Aidan is unshakable to ever stop fighting for her. Stormy did an amazing job of making this series quite the page turner, and I'm on to the next book that she so graciously sent me a signed copy of!!!! Thank you for the amazing read!!!

Loved loved!!. I started the first book and thought it was a stand alone book but the was excited when I found out there was more! I have the 3rd book preordered and I can't wait to start that one too!! I loved read these first 2 books and probably will re-read them again 😍🙌🏼

AMAZING follow-up novel!. Wow, just wow, this book is AMAZING!!! The first thing I have to say is that I have been on pins and needles waiting for this release and Stormy did not disappoint! This is the second book in what I believe is a trilogy of books. I want you to understand that it rises above and beyond the first book in the series. Stormy has delved deeper into the background of existing characters and has revealed new life-changing and important characters. She made me fall harder for the hero(s), broke my heart with loss and despair, and even managed to make me laugh out loud with references I adored. Most of all, I was thrilled by having this story told from two sides. I love to have an alternating point of view because I believe that the reader gets to be a much bigger part of the story-line and is able to better experience the character's raw emotions all while gaining new understanding/empathy. But, let me warn you... The last chapter is a killer! So, be prepared... Now I Just need Stormy to hurry up with the next installment! I cannot wait to see how everything plays out.

Even Better Than the First. The first book, Bound by Duty, was a fun fantasy romp, but this second book is even better. The themes of good and evil, power, love and family are explored on a much deeper level. How do the characters help and support each other whether they are human or immortal? It's all about self-discovery. That's what I like about this series.

Exciting read..... I truly enjoyed this series and can't wait to find out how my girl Amelia and her love Aidan saves the day. Countdown begins (11/12/15)

Bound by Spells. Enjoyable until the ending ...oh, wait, there was no ending ....she just stopped writing....there is nothing more irritating or discourteous to a reader. I won't recommend this series because this writer has started the first book to ANOTHER series...which has taught me in the past with other writers that one can expect to wait til hell freezes over before the third book to this series is available. So, I won't bother watching for it, by then I'll have forgotten the first two because I'll have found other books to hold my interest..... Sue Bainter

Superb!!. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!People joke at me about my reading YA paranormal books.But i love them all!! And i'm 51 years old!! Haha !This book was a cliff hanger,page turner,and down right couldn't put it down! I'm on to book 3.I'm sure Stormy won't disappoint she is a great author and another of my favourites!! Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!!

Even better than the first!. 4.5 stars -- Another beta read!! There was so much I loved about this book, but I think the thing that really raised it above the first book is the addition of Aidan's POV. And not just b/c we all love Aidan (b/c come on, we all do). But the nature of the story as it left off in Bound By Duty demanded that 2 separate stories be told, and it would have been a terrible loss to not have that other half of the story. I ended up learning so much more about the prophecy, the AniMage's, the history, just from what Aidan was going through and the people he encountered. When I first started reading this book, I wasn't sure how I was going to like the alternating chapters, b/c they really are completely separate stories. But I really loved how they gradually got closer and closer together until they intersected at the end in such a profound way. Now don't get me wrong, Amelia's story was epic in its own right. And quite frankly, I wasn't always totally on board with her in BBD. But she just grows leaps and bounds in this book and becomes a heroine that I genuinely like, admire, and am looking forward to seeing how her future is going to play out. Bethany was still awesome (though she was a bit more fun with Amelia in BBD). Micah, on the other hand, well that I just didn't see coming. Micah AND Baleon. I'd say more, but basically he surprised me in a huge awesome way, and I just did not (which I should have) expect his role to be quite so big. It was so refreshing to get to see what he was about, and learn about his life pre-Amelia. Now, strangely enough, you know what my favourite part was? Queen Julia. Well, favourite might not be the right word. But basically, Queen Julia turned into this bizarre 3 dimensional evil character. Bizarre? Bizarre because she just wasn't the usual paranormal villain. She...she is....I don't know. She's like an Immortal Hitler. She is so unbelievably power hungry, but she believes with all her soul that she fights for the right. It's just...well....different from what I've come to expect, and I appreciated that. Then there was Dillon. And more Charlie. Yup, all still epically awesome in the adorable, wise, unexpected characters. I always love it when a sequel is even better than the first book....that's when you know a series is going to be epic.

Great second book in the series. Was a great read and haven't grown tired of the story. In fact I was so caught up I didn't realize it was the end of the book. Ha! Will be moving on to book three!
