The Irish Cottage: Finding Elizabeth by Juliet Gauvin Book Summary

A story about losing your way and finding your life. Book 1 of 3.

Elizabeth Lara built a perfect life as San Francisco’s top divorce attorney, but when she loses her great-aunt Mags, the woman who raised her, she boards a plane and leaves it all behind.

The Irish shores welcome her as she learns a shocking truth, kept secret for thirty-five years. Devastated and now alone in the world, Beth tries to find peace in a beautiful cottage by Lough Rhiannon, but peace isn’t what fate had in mind. Almost as soon as she arrives, Beth’s solitary retreat into the magic wilds of Ireland is interrupted by Connor Bannon. A man with light brown hair, ice blue eyes and a secret of his own. He’s gorgeous, grieving, and completely unexpected.

With the help of Mags’ letters, the colorful townspeople of Dingle, and Connor, Elizabeth might just find a way back to the girl she lost long ago and become the woman she always wanted to be.

A Note From Jules:

Be forewarned you might not want to start this book late at night—several readers have reported “gobbling it up” and going on to the next book immediately. This book is literary women’s fiction, it is not a traditional romance, per se.

It’s a trilogy, not a standalone. All three books are vital to the story: The Irish Cottage, The London Flat, and The Paris Apartment. That being said, I’ve found that traditional romance readers are VERY happy at the end of London. So take a ride with me, first to Ireland and then the world.

“If you enjoy Nora Roberts, you’ll like Juliet Gauvin. The Irish Cottage is a fresh take on women’s literary fiction, sometimes light and scrumptious and other times quite profound in its observations on life, love and loss.”

“A book that conveys the true feelings of Ireland when you visit…it’s a bit of a romance, history, travel, and mystery neatly tied into a book well worth reading.”

“It will give you the feels—only the good ones!”

The Irish Cottage: Finding Elizabeth is an international women’s literary fiction romance novel with three books in the novel series. Other themes include: romance literary fiction, women’s sagas, love stories, and second chances at life.

INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHOR
Q: How did you come up with The Irish Cottage?
Jules: Well the story came together in pieces. I love Ireland, I've always been attracted to the country, the people, the music, the dancing. I've spent time traveling the country so I knew I wanted to set the book there. And then the character of Elizabeth was based on a lot of the experiences I had when I was in law in San Francisco. When I was immersed in that world--it was a very dark time, and I really did lose my way--like Elizabeth. I even let long-time relationships die because I was in such a dark place, it was difficult to see anything past my own nose. So yeah, I knew I wanted my heroine to be a "recovering attorney" and I knew that I wanted her to have this great love affair in Ireland that would open her up to the truly great possibilities life has to offer.

Q: And what about Connor Bannon? Is he based on anyone?
Jules: Ummm...he might be an amalgamation of several people, but I think I'll refrain from commenting further--have to keep some of it to myself, don't I?

Q: Why did you elect to write literary women's fiction as opposed to traditional contemporary romance?
Jules: I knew I wanted to write in the literary women's fiction space because writing a story where the heroine's evolution is paramount--not just her relationship with Connor--is what really gets me, drives me--I love those types of stories. I like writing herstory--women's lives and journeys are so complex--I wanted to write a series that included a great love story, but didn't sacrifice the heroine's journey in any way. It's about Elizabeth finding her way--we all need to find our way. Sometimes people help with that, but ultimately each of us has to find our own path...and we all need love too.

Q: Why London and then Paris?
Jules: I lived in London for a time--I love it so much. It's one of the best cities on the planet, really. When I closed my eyes and thought about where Elizabeth's journey would take her I knew London would be next. And Paris--I lived in Lyon for a time as well and I've spent a lot of time in Paris so it seemed only natural for the final book to be set there. I also set certain things in motion in The Irish Cottage that make it impossible to end anywhere else--I knew I wanted to end it in France. Plus, Elizabeth has a major sweet tooth, like me, and Paris has the most amazing dessert masters in the world. I spent many hours pouring over the websites of my favorites and discovering some new ones. Those were the hardest and best research nights--I'm nocturnal, I write at night--and pouring over the websites of my favorite masters was heaven and hell. I wanted to get on a plane already. My sugar intake definitely went up while I was writing The Paris Apartment--and my waistline with it.

An Enchanting, Easily Comprehensible Coming of Age Story. This book is a great read. I read it in three days and then subsequently had to purchase the next in the series to keep up with Beth and Connor. This book is written so well; I genuinely traveled everywhere with the main character. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was how bland or unmoving the intimate scenes seemed to be. Maybe it was written this way to illustrate the different dynamic/ emotional involvement of Beth and Connor. But to me it was like switching from the genius author to a sex scene written by someone very inexperienced. I don’t expect 50 shades of grey but I do think how that picture is painted by the author is important. I can’t wait to read the London flat next! I genuinely loved how this book dragged me in off the first chapter alone and held my attention through the different twists of the evolving plot. I wish the best to this author and will be back to review the next in the series 😏

The Irish Cottage. I really enjoyed reading the Irish Cottage! The storyline was phenomenal, the details were on point and made the storyline that more interesting, and I felt like I was there..in Ireland. I read this book in two days! I couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Bummer. I’m sad I can’t finish. I too thought this was going to be different however the woman wines and wines and the guys is dopey. I’m bummed.

A gem I was suprised to find. Such a cute & enthralling love story. The writing is vivid: I feel like I’m tasting the delicious treats & enjoying the cozy cottage myself. I didn’t expect to love it, but now I’m sure I’ll be reading all 6 lol

I was captivated from first page!. I kept reading until I finished it off…in one sitting no less. I read many books but finishing off one in one sitting has only happened 3 or 4 times in a lifetime. Needless to say… this book was Extraordinary!

Don’t start unless you have time on your hands!. Read this wonderful, deep, fun and empowering book in a day and then read the next 4 books in the series in 6 days. Can’t wait for the final installment in this series and the upcoming Scottish set series! Thank you for a truly uplifting snd fun escape into the world of Elizabeth, Connor and their wonderful friends and family.

Lucky Elizabeth. In Ireland, free of obligations and ah yes, meet a hunk a hunk a hunk of burnin’ love named Connor. Elizabeth has much to ponder and Connor is available.

I completely appreciate your ability to “relate to”. And “represent”accurately the raw emotions of these characters. So much more relatable! I’m your fan!

An Irish story worth reading.. This was a very compelling story. There were many twist and turns to hold my interest. I hope someday to read the other books in the series. The ending of this book, leads you to want to find out more.

Irish cottage. Good easy relaxing escape read.

Finished in a weekend. Compelling read that kept me turning the page.

I enjoyed this first book and look forward to the next one In the series.. I only wish there was no foul language. Foul language may be popular today and ‘everyone’ uses it, not true, but real words can convey an even richer meaning to a story.

Charming. I loved the book, however I just wish the love making was less described. It always takes away from the story ( of just my opinion).

Wonderful!. Such a fantastic story! I could hardly put it down!

Irish Cottage. Lovely read for a lazy rainy day. Looking forward to the other books in the series.

Not What I Thought. I picked this up in the Literature and Fiction section, expecting it to be literary. I wasn’t expecting the steam nor the swear words. I usually don’t rate books I didn’t finish, but by the 54% mark, I was also growing bored with the repetition. The whole, “you saw me naked” thing wasn’t amusing after the second or third time. I lost track of how many times it was brought up. The “he’s emotionally unavailable” worries, despite everting he’s done to prove otherwise, grew tiresome.

Enchanting, insightful, wonderful story. If you want a story that cracks open the human psyche, delves deeper than most and beautifully puts it all back together. Read this book. It’s thoughtful, funny, steamy and a darn good read.

Cute Irish Love Story. Cute story of a woman going through life changes and finds her true love along the way. I loved the characters and descriptions of the Irish towns. I want to buy a plane ticket and see Ireland for myself.

Lovely Romance. This was a lovely romance and an easy, relaxing read.

Good read!. Enjoyed it!

You are never too old for a fresh start. This book was refreshing because the characters were flawed, yet willing to change the trajectory of their lives … for the better. A good lesson with a bit of spice thrown in … what more could a reader want?

5 stars. My review is unlikely to do justice to the author’s creation. This book (the first in a series of 6) beautiful! Both characters and descriptive prose are carefully crafted and well-loved. This is not a formulaic romance novel, and I savored the experience of reading it, as I would a fine beverage or meal. The characters and the events of the story are intense, yet there is an underlying tone of gentle kindness. There are synchronicities, intuitions, and magic woven into this love story, which rang true to me.

Irish Cottage. Creative story with twists and turns that kept me enthralled.

Have courage…. Like many others, I’m not much of a writer, no matter how much I enjoy reading. This book was wonderful and I had to write how much I enjoyed the characters. Mostly, I want to complement the author by using her own words… “be brave, be bold and when you come across something in life that gives you joy, spread it around…..”. This is me spreading it around.

Wonderful Read!. I was snowed in for a couple of days and while cradling my baby girl, read this with the fire going and stew in the crockpot. Definitely recommend. I wish I could continue to read but I only read the free books.

Far and away mysterious. I don’t read romance novels really and I’m not sure I realized that’s what I was reading but I’m glad I found this book. Great escape full of adventure and life contemplations. Wonderful ending and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Irish Cottage. Wishing this story end differently Love the way she tells the Irish stories

I hate cliffhangers. Thanks, and no thanks. I won’t be reading book 2 to find out what happens and I resent authors who waste my time with this marketing technique. Thank goodness I checked the reviews before I got too far into this one.

The Irish Cottage..finding Elizabeth. A very, very good read..Can’t wait to read the next in the series. All the characters are full fledged, good bad and ugly very much 3 dimensional. Authors words bring them and the Ireland alive…

Loved this book!. A good book to me is one that you would like to read again and again . I am so glad this is part of a series

Great quick read. I truly enjoyed discovering these characters and the twist and turns in their lives. At times especially early on, I felt like I was reading the screenplay for a Hallmark movie (which I hate watching). But then the story arc would take a turn and surprise and pique my interest again. Overall very enjoyable and am looking forward to continuing the series.

First time reading this author. I really enjoyed reading this book! I’m looking forward to reading the complete series! I hope to travel to Ireland in the near future and this book just emphasizes that hope. Thanks for a fun read! I also had tears but mostly smiles!

Good read. Not a typical happy ever after but the possibility was inferred. Well written with a well developed story line. Enjoyed the empowerment of the female character. I hope it influences more women to learn how to take care of themselves.

Wonderful Story. Started The Irish Cottage as an easy read before bedtime and ended up combing through it quicker than I expected and losing sleep in the process! I was delighted by the character development and the colorful Ireland imagery both of the people and scenery. Very much looking forward to The London Flat so see how the story continues to unfold.

Magnetizing. This this is heartfelt reading. It collaborates the authors attempt to bring readers thoughts together. The future is brought to rise and creative actions by the reader and the writer are grouped together. Thank you !!!

The Irish Cottage. I really enjoyed this book. It was compelling and a quick read. Hard to put down once you get into it. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Wonderful storytelling!. A beautiful country and it’s people. A broken couple who find healing together. This was a fantastic story from beginning to end. I look forward to the next book!

The Irish Cottage. Test

Good read. Kept my interest with a few twists and turns

The Irish Cottage. I loved the book but didn’t get the ending I wanted. Making it necessary to read another book to answer the call for a happy conclusion is like blackmail.

Beautiful. Happy to have read such a beautiful story. The characters are interesting and entertaining. It was a reminder that sometimes life doesn’t work out the way you planned.

Finding herself. I loved the story line, the fact she could take off and find her true purpose in life.

The setting in Ireland drew me to the book and it did not disappoint. Beautiful setting descriptions, characters to fall in love with…I laughed and cried….my favorite kind of book!

A winning journey. Wonderfully sends your imagination to places most can only dream of. A fantasy life that opens your mind to possibilities. Past tragedy, journeys that lead to healing, love that concurs all. I know Ms. Elizabeth Lara. She is a superhero. ~ Ms. Foster

A story line I could not let go of…. From the moment I started reading this book I could not put it down. You could relate to the characters and almost see yourself there with them. I was bummed out when I got to the end but will have to get the others in the series so I can find out what happens!! It is one story line I can not let go of and must know how it continues!

A Pleasurable Read!. My great escape after long work days…❤️

Wonderful book. This book was so easy to read and was so enjoyable. The characters came to life as the book progressed.

Enchanting. This is the first book, in a long time, that I believed was worthy of a review. In a word “enchanting”! The story kept moving and I enjoyed the characters. Can’t wait to start the next one!

The only reason I’m going back in to. The first one I got from a

Left wanting more. I loved the book and was sorry to see it end. I wish I could read the whole series but I don’t have a book budget right now. Someday… In the meantime keep writing please.

Journey of Self Discovery. Really enjoyed this book. Well rounded characters and defo describes some of the lovely Irish spirit! Set in lovely Dingle so it also brought with it some precious memories of my own!

Enjoyable, undemanding. If you want to read the sort of book that you would pick up in an airport to devour in a few days on holiday, that would entertain you but not ask you to think too hard about plot or characters, then this is a good one to choose. I read it quickly, on tea and lunch breaks at work, a few chapters in the evening at home, and I did enjoy it. However, great literature it is not - but then who wants to always read great literature ? One thing that annoys me though are number of 'typos' in this book, does no one ever proof read their work any more ? Phone instead of phobe, weary instead of wary, bare instead of bear, and those are only the ones I can think of immediately - such a shame to leave them in when they could have been easily fixed.

The Irish Cottage. Brilliant read, couldn’t put it down! Looking forward to the next in series.

The Irish Cottage. Really enjoyed the story . Kept you totally fixed and very hard to put down . Highly recommend this to anyone . Can't wait to start next book .

Brilliant!!. I literally couldn’t put this book down and read it over 2 nights. Loved it!! Can’t wait to see where the London flat takes us xx

The Irish Cottage. I really enjoyed this book. It was full of intrigue right to the end as well as having plenty of highs and lows and romance. I like a book I can't wait to turn the page to see what happened next. This book did that for me. Well done

The Irish Cottage : Finding Elizabeth. A lovely, well written tale of love, anguish and adventure.

Emotional turmoil following close family deaths. Really enjoyed reading this book. Only downside is there are about six more in the series.

The Irish cottage. Loved the twists in the story , very enlightening about people’s relationships, a good read.

The Irish cottage. Really good read, would like to read following book, the London flat but is quite dear and can't afford it

The Irish cottage. A lovely read. An emotional journey of Descovery

Jubbs. A really good read can't wait to start the next

Lovely Story. Loved this story so much, all the characters were so real and anything set around Ireland always appeals to my senses.

The Irish Cottage. I really enjoyed this book, a bit raunchy at times but a beautiful love story that left me smiling every time I picked it up and put it down. Look forward to reading more from the author

Great read.. The characters, while obviously privileged, have some complicated histories which gradually are revealed. How much further will they unravel? A lovely Irish setting.

Gorgeous. Lovely story with fabulous characters. Wonderful humour, well written a great rainy day book. Can't wait to get into the next book!

The Irish cottage. I loved every word in this book, how I would love to wonder around the world like Lizzie. Penny

The Irish cottage. I have not made time for reading for many years although I love it. Thank you for sharing this interesting story with us all.

The Irish Cottage: Finding Elizabeth. This was truly a wonderful story to read, taking me on the journey with the characters like very few books do. The Author made me feel the highs and lows as if I was in the story myself. Can't wait to read the next book.

Luck of the Irish. It finished, when I wanted so much more. Fabulous easy reading.

The Irish Cottage. Great read, kept me up late at night , could not put it down, now onto the next book, can’t wait to see where there love story goes.

The Irish Cottage. Well! my first attempt at ipad reading books. Am so glad to find a story I just couldn't put away. Such smooth, palatable & interesting way of describing every detail, but not too much you want to skip a few pages. One pet hate is objectionable swear words in this otherwise beaut book. If you soak up every tiny detail about Stephen, there's no reason to describe women's anatomy so blatantly when he was attempting to shoot her. I knew instantly the creep he was portraying, yet there was a shattered person inside, suffering. Yet gave you five stars, and an avid follower now. Thank you.

The Irish cottage. Just finished reading the Irish cottage what a read absolutely enjoyed every word love Conner and Elizabeth’s story

Excellent read. The story of Elizabeth, who felt lost and abandoned all her life only to find her life was a lie. Raised by a loving great aunt who told her the truth from the grave. A journey of self discovery, love, laughter, tears and adventure.

great read. fully entertaining

The Irish Cottage. What a terrific read! Gathers you in and keeps your interest. Can’t wait to read the next one!!

Loved this book. I have just finished reading this and am about to download the others, took me back to Ireland as loved it when I was there felt like home. Loved the story and wished I had it in me to write something this good, keep them coming Jules

The Irish Cottage. I thoroughly enjoyed this book I couldn’t put it down. I would read and I would say just another page oh just another page and time would fly. Thank you

Took me back to Ireland. What a wonderful story to fall into and in love with. I related to the character Beth, albeit I was never that lucky in IRELAND sorry to say. Every chapter held a part of my beautiful holidays to the most amazing countryside, Fungi the dolphin I visited even got a mention. Great story telling, couldn't put it down, now to start the other two books, London and Paris, I'm Sure they won't disappoint. Read it you won't be disappointed.

Really Good Read. Really good read can’t wait to see what’s next for Beth & Connor

Great start. Lovely story, I really enjoyed it. One word of warning- it will make you want to buy the second book!

Well worth reading. This book is perfect for a holiday read. Enough twists to keep things interesting. Definitely keen to read the other books in the series.

Great read. This is one of those books you cannot put down once you've started. Loved the story line and the characters. Was sad when it ended. But looking forward to the London chapter !! Can definitely recommend , do yourself a favor

A really good read. I really enjoyed this Story and devoured it in a few rainy hours. Beautifully written about the Irish country and a fun story. Worth the read.

Couldn't finish it. Made no sense

The Irish Cottage. This is the first book I have read for a long time that I had trouble putting down!! Just wanted to get to the end to see what the last letter contained (brilliant twist) but didn't want the book to end either. Well done, highly recommend

The Irish Cottage. Beautiful story of Ireland true love and heart break

The Irish Cottage. Good lighthearted romantic novel with intrigue and twists ...good holiday reading..enjoyed it..

The Irish cottage Finding Elizabeth. Brought me back to my youth again!

Loved this book. Easy reading and great characters. True spicy romance! Very enjoyable and now onto Book 2.

The Irish Cottage. An oh so readable book! I enjoyed it from start to finish, and , of course, I'm now about to buy the London flat! The characters are so well thought out that you can see them, and having just returned from An Irish holiday, I loved the scene! Thanks for such a lovely way to while away cold winter evenings!

A little soul searching. A great little book that is not only about the characters finding themselves again but giving the reader inspiration in finding yourself again. Her words make me want to go back to Europe and see the world!

Swept away.... Couldn't put this tale of self discovery, growth and love down. The characters - all of them - came to life right off the pages and I found myself reading their dialogue with an Irish lilt and wishing for my own Irish adventure!

Just couldn’t get into it. Was initially attracted to the Irish theme but even the Irish references couldn’t save this story for me. Tried to persist due to other reviews but I just couldn’t connect with any of the characters. Gave up halfway through. Too many other books out there to read.

Loved it!. Such a great read. The storyline keeps you captivated and intrigued the entire time, with a few unexpected twists throughout. As an ambitious reader, I definitely wouldn't hesitate in recommending this brilliant novel - I may have already.

The Irish Cottage Finfing Elizabeth. I suffer from depression and the last book I read was in 2011. Not that I haven’t tried. About a year ago, I took a writing course. The course stressed using descriptors to bring the reader into the story. This book is a wonderful example of that. I really enjoyed the story and I thank you.

Unimaginative. I didn’t finish the story, finding it unoriginal, predictable and repetitive in language, thought and theme.

The Irish Cottage. Funny and witty

The Irish Cottage. I thoroughly enjoyed this light and easy read. Calling it light and easy is a compliment and not meant to denigrate the author in any way. We all need some escapism. I cared about the characters and found myself often smiling as I read the book. Life is too short to read bad books (or drink bad wine). I am continuing on with the series.

Perfect read!. I wasn’t able to put this book down! I really felt like I was in Ireland right along side Beth. So glad I get to go on this journey with her. Can’t wait to read book 2♥️

The Irish Cottage:Finding Elizabeth. This was a great read. It was a wonderful way to wile away a summer day. Look forward to reading more from this author. Thanks again for the excellent entertainment. Bev Bidinoff

The Irish Cottage. I could not put this book down! I found myself smiling often as I flipped through the pages. Absolutely loved it!

It made me want to visit Ireland again.. Enjoyed the easy flow of the script.

Relaxing read. Is kind of reminded me of a Eat Pray Love but with an Irish love affair and more to come... loved reading it and can't wait to read the next one.

The Irish Cottage. The Irish Cottage is a totally captivating book that you will not want to put down! It is romantic, adventurous and suspenseful. The storyline is well thought out and the book is well written. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to be swept away! I absolutely loved this book and the writers knack for making the whole world disappear while I was reading. Well done!

Lovely story. A wonderful story of the healing power of love.

Refreshing Vacation. Transported me to a place I’ve always wanted to visit. Thank you for sharing your world with me. Loved the experience!

The Irish Cottage. I loved this book. It covered everything. Emotions! People were interesting, places exciting. Loved the Irish Sayings and personalities. It was exceptionally well written Now for the next. London flat ThanK you, Jeannie Johnston jeanniejohnston2015@ Gmail.com

Can't wait to read second book.. Colorful story. Every scene is pictured so clearly in my mind. The characters are real and quick friends

Lost love and life's Journey. This is a well written story of lost love, finding oneself and the journey of love and life. This is a must read. I can't wait to read the second book in this series.

The Irish Cottage Finding Elizabeth. Excellent book I couldn’t put it down until it was finished. It brought back memories of some wonderful characters I met in Ireland last fall.

Not a happy ever after. But a good read. I generally stay well clear of romance stories, they're just too much like fairy tales. But I enjoyed the Irish Cottage. Good characters, well paced, a little more humour injected into the story would be nice, maybe in another book about Beth.

The Iris Cottage. Fabulous book. I really felt that I was in Ireland while reading it. Looking forward to Beth’s London adventure.

The Irish Cottage. I really enjoyed this novel. I am at the stage now when I like to read gentle books and don't need to be scared to death, I just want to be entertained. This story did just that, thank you. I shall certainly read other books by this author.

Great story. Lived the characters!

The Irish Cottage. The author has a very limited understanding of the Irish and of Irish culture. I don’t need to read lengthy descriptions of sexual encounters of which there are many in this book. It reminds me of those guys at school who used to boast about their sex “conquests”. Unnecessary use of foul language does not make a book better or any more authentic. I gave it one star because I could not give it zero. It was easily the worst drivel I have ever read.

The Irish Cottage. Very much enjoyed this read! Wonderful detail and superb descriptions. I need to go to Ireland!

The Irish Cottage. I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. I usually read action and mystery books. This one may have touched the romantic in me.

The Irish Cottage. Loved the book! Well defined characters and like a mini Irish vacation!

A pleasant, tantalizing read. This was a book I would read at night before I went to sleep or during my spare periods as a supply teacher. It kept me entertained and enthralled and kept me coming back. Especially the last quarter of the book. Then the last This was a book that I would read at night before I went to sleep or at work during me spare periods as an occasional teacher. It was entertaining and kept me coming back. Especially the last quarter of the book. Then the last few chapters I couldn’t put it down. It has been a long while since I’ve read a book that I couldn’t stop reading. It is a delicious feeling. The characters are so well developed. The author Juliet Gauvin paints a beautiful picture of a place you’d live to be.

The Irish cottage. Loved the story, it feels like I took a trip to Ireland. Well written.

Great read. Loved this book and had to buy the rest in the series to find out what happens next. Was supposed to be in Ireland right now but was cancelled due to Covid. I miss travelling to Ireland and this book transports you right there. Looking forward to reading the next book

The Irish Cottage. Love this look.won’t leave a long winded review because I want to get back to reading the next cottage book. This book is a delight to start on the weekend, the story keeps going.

The Irish Cottage. Would have given it a five star but I now have to keep reading (which I am happy to do), to find out what happens. Okay I’ve changed the four stars to a five stars because I am still reading this discovery story. Love this story and all the characters seem so real and crazy loving life addicts lol. Would have loved to have known a real life Mags!

The Irish Cottage. I can’t thank you enough for writing “The Irish Cottage “ I enjoyed it with anticipation from one day to the next I couldn’t wait to get back to it. It was well written and each stage was well placed.the London Flat should be equally as entertaining.

Finding oneself. I truly enjoyed reading The Irish Cottage. I too spent time on a life journey to find myself. Now I’m waiting to meet my Connor lol. I have trouble sleeping through the night so when that happened I read your book and always fell back to sleep when loving thoughts. That was so refreshing. Thanks again and I look forward to reading The London Flat. Blessings Connie

Great read. This book is light and refreshing. It is a great read and it is easy to connect to the characters and get wished away on a journey to self reflection.

Lovely story. I truly enjoyed getting to know the characters that Jules paints so vividly. Jules has a wonderful gift and shares it with her readers as she takes you with her through Lizzie’s journey. I’m looking forward to reading what happens next.

The Irish Cottage. Very enjoyable read. Unexpected twists and makes one eager to read next in the series.

The Irish Cottage. A very well written story with characters that become real. A story that touches us all as we travel this life; sometimes in touch with our true selves but most often not. We search to find our own true selves and those events where we really feel at peace and connected; as we follow the adventures of Lizzie and Connor. Looking forward to books two and three!

The Irish Cottage. Very good read. An emotional storey that keeps you reading till the end. Wanting more.

The Irish Cottage. I enjoyed reading this book and will continue to read the series. The characters were real and the writers excellent portrayal made you feel you knew them. I think we all lose a bit of ourselves along life’s journey and it is enthralling to think we can find those things we lost.

Beautiful. What’s beautiful love story! I only gave it 4 stars because I do not love it when a story is unresolved. But I honestly couldn’t put it down! Onto the next book I guess ;)

Been looking for a story like this.... Written to make you question your own life choices and what be braving can mean in a partnership. I couldn't put it down. Love the quirkiness and raw emotion in the characters and the ode to Ireland.

Not what I expected. I wanted to read the book because it was set in Ireland and not somewhere in North America. I am not normally a romance novel fan (truthfully I didn’t realize it was a romance novel) but I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless! I mostly enjoyed the terrific countryside descriptions as well as the letter mysteries. So go ahead and read this if you want a fun ride!

Irish Cottage. Excellent book reflects the characters involved so well. Liz needs to stop being afraid

The Irish Cottage : Finding Elizabeth. I just absolutely enjoyed this book . The author pulled me in on the tittle and the first sentence and I had a very hard time putting it down . It was a fantastic read and I was disappointed how it ended as I wanted to read more and enjoyed the teaser of 2nd book the London Flat , but wished it hadn’t of ended ; as with Covid 19 , I’m not working so I can’t afford to buy any books and was so thrilled when I saw the free ad for this book . I loved reading it very much and thank you for a very great read. You are a wonderful author . I love reading books set in Ireland , England , Scotland a and Whales . As my grand parents on my father side came from there after the war . Although I never got to ask them all about living there as they were much older when they had my father so I didn’t get that time with them when the passed. And on my mothers side they were their great grandparents coming from there . So I probably have relatives all over that I do not know of . And I’ve always dreamed of visiting if I ever came into money . When I was a young lass my Aunt used to visit cousins in Ireland , Scotland , whales & London and she use to bring me back some dried Heather . But she way much older than my father and she lived in Florida

The Irish cottage. Yessss I love this book I will be buying the series thanks for offering it to us Good luck in your future writing rmk

The Irish Cottage; finding Elizabeth. Excellent romance, adventure novel. I enjoyed the storyline of a strong and yet conflicted woman who learns how to deal with her childhood troubles and move forward in life in a positive way. I love the adventure, of travelling to a new country and emerging in a new environment and culture, meeting new people and making new friends. Well written.

The Irish-cottage. Great book! I loved it. Lina

The Irish Cottage. I highly recommend this gem! After spending the last few years recovering from a debilitating illness, I have tried reading numerous titles but couldn't find anything to keep my interest until this book. I found the characters very relatable; the storyline captivating; and I found myself getting lost in the book forgetting about my own world for a while. I can't wait to read the next book in this series, and hopefully find more by this author!

Loved it. This book made my heart smile.

Irish Cottage. The Irish Cottage had good character development and a good sense of adventure that brings in an audience.

The Irish Cottage: Finding Elizabeth. Very entertaining, fast and easy reading

The Irish Cottage: Finding Elizabeth. This was an enjoyable relaxing read, good for a summer day or even for a winter day if you have a nice fire to sit by. Although it wasn't hugely surprising as the story unfolded, it did have its colourful scenes. All in all it was a pleasant romance.
