Beautiful. Beautiful! Blitz and Livia love to dance. Will their whirlwind time at the studio turn into a friendship or possibly even love? Will Livia's situation at home break the magic and her heart? Will Blitz wait for his princess or go back to his old ways? Deanna Roy's descriptive writing made this book a fantastic read!

Benjamin and Livia. 4.5 stars I enjoyed this story. It was interesting to watch Livia go from what she is expected to be and act like to who she truly is. I liked how Deanna made her naive and fearful of most things due to disappointing her parents. Benjamin is not who people think he is. He is sweet, funny, protective and gentlemanly, at lest with Livia. I am looking forward to reading the next book and watch their journey continue.

A great start to a new series.. Forbidden Dance is the first book in a new series by the very versatile writer, Deanna Roy (she also writes as Annie Winters and JJ Knight). It's been a bit since she's had a new book and I couldn't wait to read this one. Her stories have never disappointed me, no matter what pen name she uses, and this one is no exception – I loved it. This story is told in first-person from Livia's POV. Livia made a mistake as a young teenager and has been paying for it ever since. Her parents have kept her on a very tight leash by homeschooling her and controlling all of her activities even though she is now 19 years old. Blitz/Benjamin is the disgraced star of a TV dance show and has returned to his home town to do penance. He's helping out at the dance school where Livia takes lessons and helps with the tine wheelchair dancers. While there is an instant attraction between Livia and Blitz this is not an "insta-love" story. There's a nice slow burn and build up to their romance. While Livia's past mistake is very easy to surmise right from the get-go, the slow reveal of the details was perfect and kept me glued to my ereader. I am not a fan of cliffhangers and I read a few reviews of this book that said it has a cliffhanger. If I review a book with a cliffhanger I always try to disclose this right at the beginning of my review. This book does not have a cliffhanger! There is a conclusion for Livia and Blitz's story with a HFN. But, Ms. Roy definitely left me wanting to read the next book so that I can learn more about their love story. If you don't want to be teased about the next story then don't read the sneak peek at the end of this book. But, don't miss the bonus chapter from Blitz's POV that wasn't in my ARC copy but is in the copy I purchased.

Good read. Enjoyed this story. Romance, steam and forbidden attraction. This is the first in an enjoyable dance story, I know very little regarding dance and this was easy to follow. Am looking forward to the next.

Amazing start to the series. Forbidden Dance is the first book in this new series and I absolutely don't want to wait for the next book to come out. One mistake has led Livia's parents to keep her in near total isolation. She's homeschooled, doesn't watch TV, doesn't have access to the internet, and the only time she has any interaction with anyone other than family is when she goes to Dreamcatcher Academy or volunteers at her family's church. Her life completely changes when she meets Blitz. As much as she tries to avoid him, their connection is undeniable and he's reminding her of the girl she was before her family imploded. Blitz needs to have his time at Dreamcatcher be successful if he wants to get his show back. Like Livia, a huge mistake has changed his life and his time volunteering is just the positive publicity he needs to get back in the good graces of his fans. From the first page to the last, I was captivated by this story. While this book could be a standalone, there are many unanswered questions that hopefully will be addressed as the story goes on. I was immediately invested in these characters and am looking forward to where their story leads. *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*

A beautiful dance and a forbidden love. This was the first book of Deanna Roy's that I have read and I absolutely loved it! It was sweet and innocent to a point, but there were some intense themes in the book that were very well addressed...sex among children, drunk driving, physical disabilities, overprotective and over-reactive parents, the fake Hollywood life, giving a child up for adoption, trust. Deanna introduced these issues so well. The story itself is about Livia a girl who made a mistake when she was only 15 years old and it still paying dearly for it at 19. She's done so much to try to atone for it, yet cannot earn her parents approval. And she's keeping a huge secret? She had been kept away from everyone and everything because of that one mistake. Livia's been a good girl for the last four years. But when a disgraced reality TV star shows up at her dance studio can she resist his allure? Is Benjamin (Blitz) Craven who she sees the real man or is he really like his TV persona? In a whirlwind romance that starts with an innocent dance, Livia falls for Blitz. But does he feel the same way? He says he does, but how can she know what's really the truth? And can she save Benjamin from Blitz? Although there was a happy ending in this book, I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that there is another book in this series. Yay!! I can't wait to read it too!

Believe in Me!. What an amazing way to begin Blitz and Livia's story. It's a standalone with additional stories still to come, that tell us their continued story. I absolutely LOVED it and cannot wait for Wounded Dance coming April 11, 2017. This was my first book by Deanna Roy but it will NOT be my last!!! I was already excited for book 2 before I read an early excerpt.... HOLY COW!!!! Now I cannot wait to read it too.......ACK..... After reading that, it gave me the feeling of a cliffhanger for FORBIDDEN DANCE (The Lovers Dance Series Book 1). I dislike cliffhangers unless the book is almost or already available to read so I'm glad and excited to read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Xpress Book Tours for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual and adult situations this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older.

Sweet story. I received an Arc copy for an honest review. I feel that I should state that this is a book with a cliffhanger. This is the first book I have read of Deanna Roy's. I found that I enjoyed very much and will be reading the next book in the series. At the beginning of the book I had mixed emotions but the further I got into the book I found myself actually liking it. I read a lot of the other reviews and noticed that a lot of people are put off by the fact that the main character is 19 and she just doesn't leave. I can see where these people are coming from but I can also put myself in the character's shoes and see where she is coming from too. I've known people that have gone through similar situations. Guilt and fear can be very powerful emotions. Enough so that they can keep a person from making decisions or taking actions that might be obvious or easy to others. Overall I'd say this is good read and if you don't mind cliffhangers I would recommend this book to you.

Review. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and following the story of Livia and Benjamin! First time I have read something from this author! I’ll be reading the rest of the series!

4 1/2 Stars! A heartwarming story with a little bit of steam!. This is the 1st book that I have read by this author and it definitely won't be my last. It is also the 1st book I have read about dancers ... I don't really know anything about professional dancing and didn't know if I would like it, but I loved it! Blitz is a contemporary dancer that gets kicked off his own reality TV show because of his outrageous behaviour. In order for him to get his show back, he has to play the nice guy by raising money for charities to kissing a pig. Livia is a ballerina who is very overprotected by her parents, because when she was 15 she had a baby and they made her give it up for adoption. They felt so strongly that she shamed the family, they moved and from that point on Livia and her brother were even homeschooled. Livia is only allowed to leave the house for dance and volunteering at their church. But when Livia and Blitz meet at the dance studio, the sparks fly. Livia has no idea who he is, as she is not allowed to watch TV, never mind going on a computer. The Blitz that she knows is a total gentleman ... far from the person on the TV show. They are so enamoured with one another that they steal every moment they can to be together. I highly recommend you take their journey ... you won't regret it. There are still questions that are unanswered at the end of this book and hopefully will be answered in the next book. I graciously received an ARC copy from the author in exchange for a honest review.

Love to Dance. Here is a story of a young lady who is allowed to take dance lessons but not allowed to be near men or date all because of a mistake she made at fifteen. This author knows how to get you emotionally involved in her stories. This one catches at your heart and makes you want to root for Livia. I guarantee you will like this book. Cannot wait for the second book.
