Quick read. Boy crushes on girl for years. Goes back home and falls in love with her. Simple plot but cute story

A Fun Sweet Romance. A fun sweet read for a perfect lazy afternoon. Katie, "the girl next door" runs a ranch when she books a bachelor party from Seattle. She soon finds out that "the bad boy from town", Hunter is part of this party. After Hunter left town a few years ago, he now become a successful software tycoon. Hunter, has always had a certain liking to Katie, and now is the time to act upon his feelings. Will Katie open her heart or still play it safe? Soon there will be fireworks in the sky and not just for Fourth of July. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of finding love and opening your heart. I loved how Hunter, gave Cal and other kids like him a second chance in Marietta. Coming home, cane be good.

Decent story.. Really shocked by the amount of errors in the book, but still a decent read.

Man thing. Hunters goal was to just bed his high school crush before he went home. Hunter didn’t care about her feelings or think about what would happen when he left. The whole book hunter was selfish, only doing what would make him satisfied.

Love in opposites attract. High school drama that follows you to adult life . I love a happy ending.

Falling fast. Four and a half stars Falling for the Hometown Girl is the second in Shelli Stevens’s Marshall Ranch series. Hunter Richardson is back in Marietta for a bachelor’s party. Katie Marshall has only a vague recollection of a quiet misfit loner but the guy who shows up definitely catches her attention in a very distracting way. Shelli Stevens’s story is a charming one, and a fun trip where readers get to enjoy the entertaining side of ranch life as Hunter and his friends do during their stay with the Marshalls. Of course, Hunter and Katie dance around and the sparks between them…until they don’t. Very much enjoying this small-town series!

So much potential, so much disappointment. This could have been a great book. The storyline was good, if a bit unoriginal. My issues were with editing and character development. With the editing, whole words were missing, or used in the wrong places, or used incorrectly. Basic spelling mistakes everywhere. Transposing names so you ended up confused as to who was involved in the scene or conversation. And the ending was atrocious. (Spoiler alert) the H&H had a fight, the hero left to go back to his home in another state and then all of a sudden he is back. Then literally in one sentence there is anger and fighting and the next sentence they are engaged. No joke. Completely out of nowhere. The reconciliation of the issue came after the engagement. And then it was the end. I wish the author would have had some experienced beta readers at the least, not to mention a competent editor. Shame she didn't because she had potential for a solid, fun story here but it really just fell flat. Disappointing.
