Favorite Book. It has *everything* - if you like sci-fi/horror this is the book for you 💕

Thrilling page turner. Literally couldn’t put this down, it was awesome. I particularly enjoyed placing my bets on who would live and die by books end. Liked the cast of characters, enjoyed the Though I overall enjoyed the cast of characters….I would say some of the characters were a bit stereotypical and cheesy to a fault. Could really bring you out of the flow of the story. Sometimes a few of the asides could take you down a wandering path amd by the time you made it back to the action you had forgotten what the action was.

TOP 5 FAV BOOKS OF ALL TIME. Let me preface this: I am deeply obsessed with this book. I have always liked thriller/horror books and this did not disappoint; in fact, I would still consider it one of the creepiest books that I’ve read and which stuck with me for a while after. When I walked into my local book store and asked for recommendations, the woman said, “How do you feel about killer mermaids?” I wasn’t sold because I figured it’d be extremely campy, and I didn’t want that. However, it was super intense and the exact opposite. I began this book as I do most books, reading 1-2 chapters at a time, yet I was so captivated that I read straight through into the night and until the next morning without sleep until I finished it at about 10AM. For about a week or so after, I was definitely haunted by bodies of water a bit and didn’t immediately swim in the lake at my family’s summer home. Absolutely recommend - one of the best books I have EVER read! Give it a chance and it won’t disappoint.

Not a good book…. This is not a good book. As far as I can tell the author thought to herself, “I want to write a romance novel. I also want to write a book with killer mermaids. I bet I can put those two things together successfully!” She did not put those two things together successfully. If you read this do yourself the favor of skipping all of the sections in parenthesis. They are simply the parts where the editor should have won the argument about cuts but, clearly, didn’t. This is two stars because there are points where the writing is engaging enough.

Slow. Zzzzzzzz - great start, but the end fizzled

Wow!. Hair raising, pulse pounding, dare I say educational ;-) Superb!

Great book. This book is really cool. I’m a big fan of it, and I would recommend to horror lovers.

No. Just…No.. If I could take the hours of my life I wasted on this “well ain’t that convenient” slog back, I would. I would not stop until I’d gotten back every second. Save yourself! Don’t make my (or my book club’s) mistake!
