Awesome. Amy works at the local bar and a diner. She's sweet, beautiful, and easily spooked. Wolfe builds furniture with his cousin. Sexy, protective and looks good in jeans. Rhys is the county sheriff, good looking and wants both Amy and Wolfe. When Amy's past returns she must choose to keep hiding or stand up for herself along with most of the town. Ok I don't know what to write because I don't want to give anything away. Lets just say lots of sex, mm, mf, mfm. Get ready to have your fingers scorched! You don't want to miss this new series. *voluntarily reviewed book for author*

No one writes ménage like Nicole Edwards. 4.5 stars for - Hard To Hold - book one in the Caine Cousin series by Nicole Edwards. This book is the first of at least two featuring a smoking hot MMF romance between the town sheriff, a gorgeous local with a chip on his shoulder and a beautiful, but skittish woman who only recently moved into town. Reader discretion is advised as this book holds nothing back including smoking hot man on man loving. Wolfe Caine owns and operates his own business and tends to keep to himself. Any romance he takes part in is usually of the one night variety and that has always suited him until he meets the new waitress at Reagan's bar. There is just something about her that calls to him, but it seems he's not the only one interested in her... Rhys Trevino is the sheriff of Ember's Ridge and while he never aspired to that position being elected as sheriff is a job he loves. The only drawback is having to maintain a very discrete social life. Rhys sexual preferences being town gossip is the very last thing he wants, but he can't help who he is attracted to... Amy Smith has lived in Ember's Ridge for the last three months and started working for both the diner and Reagan's bar about a month ago. Amy is a hard worker that tries to keep to herself and avoid any type of extra attention. So when both the sheriff and Wolfe Caine start paying a lot of attention to her she has no idea what to think... This was a intense, emotional and spicy story that left me wanting more! Between all the mystery / danger mixed with the smoking hot sexy times I had this one read in less than a day. Can't wait for book two in July :)

How can you resist a Nicole Edwards book. Hard to Hold, the first of two books in the Caine Cousin series, centers around Wolfe and his cousin Lynx Caine, cousins of the Walker’s in a story of their own. The story takes place in the small town of Ember Ridge where everyone knows everyone else and their business. A new comer like Amy does not go unnoticed by the cousins. Wolfe seems to pay special attention to Amy which is fine with her since he certainly catches her attention as well. There is another man who notices Amy, Sheriff Rhys Trevino, but Amy has a secret and isn’t sure she wants to be noticed by the Sheriff. Amy works at Reagan’s, a bar owned by Rhy’s sister, so she can’t avoid him, but Rhy can tell she has a secret and he wants to know what that is. Amy isn’t the only person to catch his attention, but will he be able to make both of them notice him the way he wants to be noticed and can the three of them work things out to be together? Well, you will have to read the book to find out. I’m glad I did, but the story does end in a bit of a cliffhanger and that makes me a little crazy. Some of the story is wrapped up, but other parts are just getting started. And what about Lynx you may ask, well, he will be addressed in the sequel, Hard to Handle, coming out in July. I can’t wait to read that one too.

Ménage at its best. The Caines are cousins of the walker brothers. We start out meeting Wolfe and Lynx. These two are trouble with a capital T. They are also cousins and do everything together and sometimes share women. When they would go to the diner or the bar after work, Wolfe notices a pretty new girl named Amy. For some reason he wanted to know her better. Rhys who is the sheriff of their town follows shortly behind them. He notices Amy right away and wonders what her story is. Wolfe hasn't been with a man in a long time but can't stop thinking about the sheriff. Wolfe eventually talks Amy into being their secretary at their woodworking shop. Eventually, Wolfe gets her to the point where she trusts him and she finally begins to tell her story. The sheriff and Wolfe have already been together because the moment was too strong. The two of them finally get Amy by herself and just want to make need her feel good. They work on her a little at a time!! . This story has all the feels but does have a cliffy!! I wasn't too pleased to see it!! All in all this story is so good, I couldn't put it down. The ménage comes later in the book than usual because of Amy's past. Amy's past does come back to haunt her just like in her nightmares!! Being with Wolf and Rhys does help them though because she finally feels safe. Just like all of Nicole's books, I would recommend This book anybody. It does have some triggers which Nicole covers in the very beginning. If you like ménage this is definitely one you need to read!

Brilliant Start to a New 2 book Series. Hard to Hold is book one in Nicole Edwards new two book Caine Cousin Series, set in the small town of Ember Ridge where we get introduced to Wolf Cain and his cousin Lynx. Wolf and Lynx work hard and play hard and let's to be honest no one writes a hot steamy ménage like Nicole Edwards, but this book is not only smoking hot it's also a brilliant love story. Amy is new to town and Wolf catches her eye but so does Rhys the local Sheriff,could all her dreams about to come true, one man is good but two men are better ! The chemistry between the characters in this book is sizzling but as with all of this authors books it's not just about the physical attraction, there is a story to be told and that story could break or make them when Amy's past comes back to haunt them all, will the men in Amy's life be able to protect her guess you need to read the book to find that out. This book does have a cliffhanger but I understand we won't have to wait too long for book two. This is a beautifully written love story that covers sensitive issues, once again Nicole Edwards has given us another 5 star Start to a new series.

Fantastic. This is book 1 in Nicole Edward’s exciting new Caine Cousins series set in the small town of Embers Ridge and what a way to start. A fair warning that this book sort of ends on a cliff hanger but don't worry you will not have to to wait long for the next book. This is the story of Wolfe, Amy and Rhys and oh boy what a story this was. No one does menage like Nicole Edwards. This book was exactly what I have come to expect from one of her books it was smoking hot menage at it's finest. There is also mystery and intrigue in Hard To Hold which kept me riveted to the pages. Once I started this book I didn't want to put it down. Amy has secrets that she must keep, otherwise it could cost her her life and those of the men she has come to care for. Wolfe and Rhys are strong determined men who want to protect her and will do whatever it takes. When Amy's past comes back to haunt her, will she leave the men she loves and make a run for it or will she stay and fight for what she deserves? Once click and you will find out. As with all previous books written by Ms.Edwards, this one was well written and the story line captivating. Not only do the hot and steamy scenes capture and keep your attention, but the danger adds another element. I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens.

Disappointing. Another fantastic Edwards menage but then the story's totally lost by the cliffhanger at the end. Disappointed as will have to read the book again to get the flow of the story. If I'd known about the cliffhanger I would've waited until book 2 was available and read the two together.

Couldn't put it down. I just love this author's work. I also love how all her series are interrelated in some way, and characters from the other series pop in for a visit. This author also writes some super steamy menage stories. If she writes it, I will buy it, they are that good. And this book doesn't disappoint. The story is about Amy, a young woman on the run, Wolfe, and Rhys. These three a so hot and right for each other. I loved all three of them. I just couldn't put the book down and can't wait for the next book in the series.
