A harrowing read. An eye-opening, insightful book that will leave you in despair for the Dowler family and the protracted agony they endured on every level.

Beautiful, painful and heart wrenching. I’ve just finished reading My Sister Milly and what a privilege it was. Gemma has truly honoured her sister’s memory with all of the wonderful memories. It’s hard to believe what the family went through and the fact that they are still standing. A truly amazing family with a wonderful support network around them. Difficult, heartbreaking but a must read.

Brilliant and harrowing read. Brilliantly written and so so sad what the family went through. Interesting account of the Surrey Police. Sounds like they made catastrophic mistakes.

Brave. How brave of Gemma to write this book. From the first few pages of how she describes their happy family life, to the last few where she tells of the card and flowers placed in the river, I was gripped. It's so sad to read of the injustice placed upon this lovely family.

Heartbreaking. I just couldn’t put this book down. What the Dowlers went through is truly heartbreaking, not just losing there beloved daughter, to the inept policing, the ridiculous justice system, that gives that monster (can’t bring myself to say his name) his rights, before them. Very well written. How brave. No one can hurt Milly anymore

What a beautiful family.. After reading this book I really feel like I know Milly and her family. Gemma, Sally, Bob and lovely Granny have been so brave to share their memories of Milly. I will not take away the bad things from her story i was able to see what a beautiful, happy family they were. Rest in peace Milly. Honour to read it.

Huge impact. I cannot begin to praise enough the honesty, passion and bravery that lie at the heart of this book. A true testament to the short life of lovely Milly and to a lovely family who have had to endure unmentionable pain and torment. It should be required reading for every police force, every journalist, every barrister, everyone dealing with the victims of trauma and crime, every person who fails to treat with compassion and understanding those who deserve and need it most. Inspiring. What a wonderful but painful read. Gemma and members of the Dowler family can be proud of what if achieves. It should be read by every student Police Officer, as part of their training.

One of the most important books you will ever read. This book is a monumental achievement on so many levels. It is a study of inconceivable trauma, of human spirit and courage but most of all, overwhelming love for her Sister, family and friends, the loyalty of the British Public and ultimately the all conquering nature of a strong and united family over unimaginable evil, incompetence and deceit. It is the most harrowing read imaginable but one that simply had to be written and has to be read to ensure that the many insights and lessons in its pages live on with Milly's memory long after all else is forgotten.

Such a sad story. I can't believe that all this could happen to such a lovely family I have never cried this much reading a book, it's everyone's worst nightmare.

I have never felt so overwhelmed with emotion when reading a book.I can not quite believe what the Dowler family have endured over the past fifteen years. This book not only gives insight into a lovely and happy family it also outlines some very disturbing subjects concerning the systems in place in this country. I'm shocked by the way this family were treated in their devastating circumstances. However due to their strength and courage they have finally found some peace. May Milly's soul always shine bright.
