The Green Men Series. I have read and enjoyed all K J Charles books in the iStore or on Kindle, at least twice and some more over the past several years. I have been unable to find The Last Couple in Hell, though. Not on Goodreads either. Is it available? Thanks. Vicki

The Green Men - so English 🌳🌳🌿🍃. A mystery wrapped up in a fantasyEnglish folk lore story. Having read the Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal, and having thoroughly enjoyed that, I was happy to reconnect with Simon Feximal’s adoptive son, Sam and that Simon’s house is still being lived in. This is the second reading of these books and I enjoyed them both again. I felt the desperate need in Saul to connect with people and society after his wartime tragedy and the rejection because of that. Although the position he has now, working for Major Peabody is not the best, at least he has a job and has been accepted by the Major. Randolph is a blue blood through and through. He only has to open his mouth for that to be apparent. In fact, that’s what I totally appreciate about KJ Charles’ writing. She sets the scenes and sets the language in the era she’s writing about so well. Randolph really comes across as the upper class man that he is with all his flowery language and arrogance. Together, Saul and Randolph must survive the strange happenings and solve the mystery that is putting England at risk. The book does end well apart from an unanswered question - who was the individual who originally set things in motion? What was his intention? So I would dearly love to read the next two books in this series; Last Couple in Hell and Damned Young Things, but they appear not to have been written yet. At least, I can’t find them. Maybe I, and those interested, should contact KJ Charles and ask if they will become available. 5 stars.
