Hans Bruncken war Urgestein der Transzendentalen Meditation in Deutschland. In seinen letzten Jahren arbeitete er an der ersten wissenschaftlichen in-depth Analyse der von Maharishi Mahesh Yogi begründeten Transzendentalen Meditation, ,,TM" und ihres „Drumherum".
Das nötige begriffliche Vokabular fand er in der Psychologischen Morphologie seines Professors Wilhelm Salber, der in der Tradition der tiefenpsychologischen Ganzheits- und Gestaltpsychologie stand. Salber starb im Dezember 2016, nur wenige Monate nach
Hans Bruncken.
In enger Zusammenarbeit mit Wilhelm Salber gelang es Hans Bruncken, psychologische Hintergründe der Transzendentalen Meditation radikal am unmittelbaren Meditationserleben entlang aufzuzeigen und zu erklären. Mit diesem „opus posthumum" setzen beide ein
letztes Ausrufezeichen.
Es ist Hans Bruncken gelungen, eine scharfsinnige tiefenpsychologische Analyse des TM-Meditationserlebens zu liefern.
