Love this series. I didn’t want this book to end! I will be counting down the days to book 3!

I could barely put this one down. This is an amazing read. No lulls in the story at all. I aimed for 30 minutes of reading a day, but often spent way more time than that engulfed in it. It took me a while to start this one after reading the last and now I’m sad that the next book is 8 months out.

Amazing❤️. I love this series and I really hope that a 3rd book will come out soon!!! I am very picky with books and this is one of the best ones I have ever read!!! If I can Finnish an 800 page book in 5 hours, it’s a good. And I finished this book in under 5 hours so that makes it a AWESOME book!!! I think you should red this book if you are at the age 10~13 (I was 10 when I read it), and I recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and historical fiction and even if you don’t like them, I can guarantee that you will like this series. ❤️👍❤️👍

Excellent Debut. Tomi Adeyemi is brilliant in this novel that mixes fantasy, with deep themes of culture, family, spirituality, oppression, and perseverance. Love that she didn’t take a traditional stance of a European antagonist. Comparing her to any other author is missing the point. Excellent read for all ages.

Fantastic. This series came recommended to be from a friend and I have finished both books in 5 days! I have always been a lover and avid reader of any books related with fantasy, magic and of course mythical gods. This book brings to life an amazing world of magic, people and culture. I would recommend to anyone who loves this genre.

Amazing book. I had to tear myself away from the book to do work! The plot, the climax, the story telling was impeccable!

Good but way too hyped. I think for a debut novel, this book was actually pretty good. I liked the characters and how unique and complex they were. The main character of the book is very strong and really fights for what she believes in. The plot of the story was intriguing and I found myself very interested in the world and magic. This issue I had with it was one, the romance. The author makes the prince and the main character hate each-other for the majority of the book and for some reason they don’t kill each other when they meet and instead instantly find an attraction towards each other. I also thought the pacing of the book was slow. Not much really happens in this book and I wished more did. We don’t have a lot going on until the end and that just made it hard to keep going. But overall I’d say this is a solid book. I think a lot of people love it way too much but as a debut novel I didn’t expect much to begin with anyway. Great effort and great story.

Children of Virtue and Vengeance. Excellent story telling, very engaging. I could not wait to turn my next page. The writer places you virtually in the story. I felt connected to each Clan with joy, fear, sorrow and love for journey of their lives. Very enjoyable book…on to the next one in the series!

Plot twist!!!. Ugh I was not expecting a plot twist!!!! It crept up on me so clean!! Before I knew it the book was ending. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book so fast in my life! Tomi does a great job building these characters and adding to their story arc but by bit. You slowly fall in love with them, learn to hate them, understand them, and then see hope for them all at the same time. Great job! Ugh the plot teist!!!!

All hail Tomi!. This is my favorite series since The Lizbeth Salazar chronicles. It makes me proud to read a work of fiction where I can find reflections of myself.

Hooked.. Im trying to think of a book I enjoyed reading more. These books are amazing. Wonderful read. You read the books and you can visualize and feel everything that you read. I laughed and cried, eyes burning because I couldn’t put it down. Fantastic work! I can’t wait for the the 3rd.
