I Like It So Far. This is my first time using the app, and I’ve been needing a reason to actually read the Bible. But I think there should maybe be a highlighter feature?

Expensive. I had this for short time. But the subscription was too expensive. That was the deal breaker having nothing to do with the content or quality.

Wow. Usually don’t write reviews but, this is good.. I am new to Catholicism, and I have struggled a bit praying the Rosary. I just had the best rosary prayer experience outside of the Oratory in the presence of the Eucharist. Then, as I was playing with the app found the music section and there is Chants and acapella music.

Life Changing✝️🙏🙏. I had been down, really down, in my head, body, my heart and my soul. Overwhelmed with fear. Legitimate fear, my health was jeopardized. I had heard of this app, heard Mark Wahlberg talking about it. I didn’t pay much heed. I had friends who talked to me about it but I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t care. Until a few weeks before Lent, out of desperation and curiosity. I succumbed, ventured into the world of Hallow. Nothing happens by accident in Gods universe. He brought me exactly where I is supposed to be. Elevated me to a realm of the deepest kind of faith listening to the words, the miracles, the Saints, His world which I would need so desperately to be part of, the world that filled and rescued me. Jesus brought me up and took me out of my fear, loss and pain. I am so filled with Gratitude for this venue of His word, light and love.

Paid subscription, then lost access. Customer service is very poor. I paid for a family subscription and had full access for about a week and then lost it and am being prompted to purchase a plan. My kids have yet to be able to sign in. Customer service did respond within a few days initially, but have not responded since that point. Very disappointing, as I do like the app. I paid over $120 as a family Easter gift and here we are a month later with no access, and no help getting it.

Can’t support if Mark Whalberg profits from it!. Yeah I hate to bring politics into this but religion wants to enter US politics, so here I go. Mark supports tRump who is anything but religious! You can’t support the devil and then try to support and profit from a religious app. Religion has no place in politics. Stop supporting the fall of democracy by supporting tRump.

Anyone looking to convert just know that you do NOT have to be born Catholic and our doors are always open. Stop by a Catholic church office and ask about RCIA classes.

Appreciate the prayers, not the functionality. I very much appreciated the content when I was using it during the free trial but canceled it a week before my trial was up and was still charged. I think they have some glitches in their system that don’t allow cancellations to go all the way through. I would recommend paying through the Apple App Store and not giving them your cc number so that you have more options to dispute/manage the subscription outside of the actual app.

Tried it & I find it lacking. As much as I tried powering thru this or just listen to the audio and what the app has to offer. I can’t help but say. With this app it feels empty and more automated. I don’t feel engaged or inspired. I’m sure the best of intentions are here. But for me, I want content that feels more alive that gives me something to truly think about and relates. This app doesn’t come close enough. Sorry to put it this way. But I have to speak my mind. I hope there improvements in the near future. For you need people that don’t sound automated or are talking that put you to sleep. Best of luck in the future

Lukewarm no more…. Hallow has been amazing in transforming my families lives. We were Easter and Christmas Catholics until we found hallow. I feel like I was guided to the app and has brought so many blessings. I drove across US with my niece and we made hallow a part of our journey. My niece was received into the Catholic Faith this Easter vigil, my husband confirmed and we finally got married in Church not to mention all our extended family that are coming back to the faith. BTW we’ve been married 13 years and we just got right with the church. Thank you Hallow development team for making this app it is transforming lives everyday. God is good!

Be careful. I enjoyed the app so much I went ahead and paid for the subscription but after the two week trial, the app locked everything. I wrote to support and sent and email, it took over a week for someone to get back in touch with me and they told me to log out and relog back in. I did that multiple times with no success so I wrote them back and they said my subscription was just for the two week free trail and then it was cancelled. I sent them my receipt from Apple showing that I paid the $69 and that my subscription was good till 2025 and they still would not honor my subscription. Now I am out $69 and no subscription. Be careful if you choice to get this app. It was good but not worth almost $150 and I would be scared it would happen again. That I would pay the money and after two weeks I would be locked out of everything again. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Loss for words how wonderful this app is. In this busy world we live in 2024, it’s difficult to find quality content that can steer me back on to the path I was designed to walk on. This app has helped me tremendously find myself and has strengthened my relationship with The Creator. This app is a true blessing.

Poor Navigation. I find this app hard to navigate. If I am running or driving in my car I have to pull over so I can change to whatever segment I want. It is very difficult to the next segment or to another segment. Material is good. It needs to be easier for people on the go.

One area to improve. Fr M Schmitz - needs to prepare his talks. His speech is choppy, with many times the sentences are not complete. His participation during Lent was so hard to listen to, I just skipped it. Yet everyone else spoke clearly - totally enjoyed their sharing. On your next up date - Fr S needs to be switched out.

Content for every liturgical season. I just want to say that this app has been so helpful to me. Amazing app, but I have a suggestion. This app is great for prayer and helping you get closer to God and with the new addition to the bible, it helps us to condense our digital ways of Christianity into one app. One suggestion I’d like to make is to add a daily verse section, similar to the bible app.

A man who is a massive danger to women and has been known to jump on whatever religion/spirituality at a time where he may get in trouble for rape so he can manipulate his cult following. Let’s not forget when multiple women came forward about his abuse he compared himself to Jesus to defend himself.

Personalised prayer. It’s very nice app with lots of prayers options and with very good voice notes and different prayers options and dedicated prayers too.

Amazing app. I love this app so much, it covers everything I need from prayers, rosary and music but I wish I could make a playlist. I know there is the queue option but I wish I could plan a playlist for future listening like a mix of prayer, music, dailies etc. I would also love more audio books / plays.

Too Expensive. I mean, I know that Catholics like extort money from the poor using religion as a justification, but this is just excessive, your subscription costs almost as much as Netflix, when everything you provide for subscription can be found on YouTube and other Christian apps and websites. I wouldn’t say these exorbitant prices are “loving thy neighbour” (Matthew 22:39). To anyone reading this just get an app called ‘Bible’, it has way more bible versions, is free, no ads and has all the same podcast/audio type things, just not done by celebrities like Mark Wahlberg.

Scam. This app is a scam. I felt no closer to God using it than my daily routine. It’s subverting the message for cash. Matt 21 12 .

Very hard to unsubscribe. You have to jump through about 15 hoops to unsubscribe including create an email address login to your account online. But if you carry on pressing cancel and yes, and yes I’m sure, and yes again, and yes I want to cancel, and then you are asked to login, and then find where to cancel, and then ask to unsubscribe, and then confirm yes, and then press yes again…. It will eventually unsubscribe you

Finding my spiritual journey and deepening my faith. I have been looking for a way for a while now to dive further into my faith. However, I didn’t know how to. It wasn’t until Mark Wahlberg popped up on my Instagram feed mentioning this app and his involvement during lent that I delved further. I’ve always wanted to participate in Lent but haven’t quite known how or indeed what I could do. So once I downloaded the app I knew I wanted to sign up to the prayer 40 lent program. I’m now a few days in and loving it. It’s calming me down in the morning and making me more reflective on my life, my relationships and the day ahead. It’s a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend it.

I would recommend but... I find that the daily gospel is quite repetitive I’m listening to the same chapter over and over again it needs sorting. Overall it is such a great way to get close to God and keep you motivated to do daily prayer and meditation. They also have some lovely worship song. You can set timer on the app for each prayer session and it will remind you that it’s time to do your prayer Overall it’s awesome 👍apart from the daily gospel that’s the reason why I rated a four 👎

Cancellation. I cancelled this app as it was not for me. They then took a 12 month subscription. I contacted them and they promised to look into it and refund my money. They then sent me an email asking me to reconsider and have another look around. If not to fill in an online form for a refund. I did this providing all the information. They then sent me another email and go round again. So here I am now going round and round and no refund! I’m still being sent look around emails any questions. I’m still waiting for my refund. I filled in the form attached all the PayPal receipts as requested. No reply in over a month. Just emails asking me to look around. What

It’s helping me on my journey. I’ve been on a long journey in years to get here I do not believe I been a bad person but I have learned that I do sin in some of the things I’ve done some of the thought I’ve had training my thoughts or be more positive is a lot harder than I thought so this app helps it’s teaching me about prayer and how to pray and this app helps

This app has changed my life, brought me closer to God and been a huge support through a deeply testing time of grief of the death of family & loved ones, personal loss & financial ruin and it's strengthening my faith. It costs about £5 a month (the price of a coffee or cake treat and I know which I'd rather have!!) My business recently collapsed and I’m struggling for cash when I started the free trial but I can honestly say I was relieved by the affordable subscription cost at the end AND it's going to good works whilst saving our souls - win/win!! and so I subscribed with much gratitude in my heart. I have never found such a comprehensive app in my life from music, to meditation, prayers, education, daily mass to spiritual courses it's a scriptual life saver. Fr Mike, Fr Frankie Cisero & Sr Bernice amongst others have made a huge impact on my daily life and I discovered Jonathon Roumie and The Chosen here too! Mind blowing. Good app - slightly odd that Jesus has a (put on?) accent…. The app has something for everybody -it really is amazing resource. Just one thing: it seems that whenever the gospel is being read out, Jesus is given some kind of accent...? Not sure why this is? Maybe Jesus spoke with an accent in his language… ? I find it a little distracting as well as odd, and afraid it has made me turn to other apps for Gospel readings. But thank you anyway for all the other inspiring resources!

Accent ruins it. Hallow has the potential to be incredible but what has put me off completely is that the gospels are read in an accent. There’s no purpose for this as the accent is not authentic and doesn’t make sense - Jesus nor the authors would’ve been speaking English so having an accent doesn’t help the experience. I would much rather just hear someone speak it rather than trying to put on something that isn’t true and sounds uncomfortable. I am ready to come back to the app if this aspect changes.

Life Changing. This is the only app I need. It is life changing and has drawn me closer to God in only 39 days since downloading it. My soul is finding peace for the first time in my 62 years. I'm so grateful to the founders. Bless you all.

Change to overlay after a prayer has finished. Could you guys please change the overlay so that the ‘Done’ button is the main one instead of ‘Share’ It is especially difficult whilst driving to attempt to hit a smaller button (Done) at the top right when it could easily be the main button. How many times is someone going to keep sharing during the day?

Charged for 1yr subscription after cancelling free trial. Not happy. Did a free trial and I didn’t really like the content so cancelled the subscription. At the end of the trial period we got billed the full 1 year subscription amount. Trying to get my money back.

Yeah?. Honestly it’s really good. It’s a very nice and easy aesthetic set up. It Medicare me to pray more and build a stronger relationship with god. But the money is just too much. The free option offers a lot but not enough. To be honest I think it should be free all the together because you would still make money from people downloading it. Right?

Seeking the Father. Hallow is a great resource. It provides options for those ‘seeking the Father’. It provides encouragement and support to remain focused and to reflect on the revelations that come through seeking the Father.

Wonderful app. This is a wonderful app for prayer and podcasts. I’m so glad you added a search feature - that makes the app much easier to use. The other suggestion I have is to add the ability to favourite a novena ‘group’, rather than having to favourite all nine days of a novena individually to get them in your favourites.

Great app!. The app has a fantastic UI. I have only used the app once but I have a bit of feedback. For the gospels, I know Johnathan Roumie is the narrator but it doesn’t sound natural to hear a middle eastern accent while reading Jesus’ verses (this is coming from a middle eastern Christian). It makes sense in a TV show but not while reciting the gospels. Would it be possible to have another narrator who has a consistent voice? Also, during the rosary, I think it would be better for the narrator to read the sorrowful mystery before going into the Our Father or at least a pause for us to read it well. Overall great app!

The best prayer guide on iTunes. This is app is very user friendly and well laid out. It’s helpful to me faith to lead in the Rosary and it’s great having prayer lead by Catholic celebrities such as Mark Wahlberg and Jim Caviezel. The paid option is worth every cent.

Meant to be.. It wasn’t a coincidence that I stumbled across Hallow app tonight. God put it in my feed. I signed up mildly hesitant but after spending almost an hour on it tonight, I am GRATEFUL and BLESSED to have it as a brilliant tool to help me get closer to God by strengthening my faith. Helps so much!. Sometimes I want to pray with others or be lead in prayer or mediation/lectio divina and this app is perfect. BUT it has so much more than that.

Review after using for over a year - keeps getting better! Has really improved my faith. Over the years I’ve tried many apps that I just never use to make a subscription worth it. Not so with Hallow! I love the sleep stories, i love the daily readings and explanations by Father Mike Schmidt and Jeff Cavins, i love the challenges like extra things to listen to during certain times like lent or advent, read by amazing people that are a pleasure to listen to such as Jonathan Roumie. Honestly there is something for every mood! Am I feeling depressed? Yes there’s something to listen for that. Am I feeling like I want to dig deeper into learning? Yes there’s something to listen to for that. Am I feeling bored or easily distracted? Yes there’s something to listen to even when I feel like that. Also they keep improving the app so that’s there’s more and more. Also you can read what u are listening to as well. When i first started using Hallow I was just starting my journey towards the Lord. I’ve since grown to go to mass several times a week and my faith has grown exponentially. Now, instead of starting my day phone browsing when my eyes pop open, i try to listen to something from hallow. Anyway, get Hallow! It’s worth every penny!

should be free, period. there should not be a barrier to those who need spiritual help but cannot afford it -ask for donations if you have to or support from the catholic church

A contemporary app for Christians. I’m loving the app so far and it’s very well built! The only minor downside is that there is no setting that reduces data streaming when on cellular, that lowers the graphics and audio quality to not eat up as much. There is downloads but if there’s a new prayer or sound and it’s not downloaded you can’t listen to it offline.

Hallow app helps me to grow spiritually. I pray so much more since I’m using the app. My prayers are deeper and I feel stronger connection with God. It helps me to grow spiritually. Amazing app, thank you.

Inspirational Prayer App. This is an inspirational App. Through a variety of prayers and reflections that one can engage with, it brought me closer to God's words of guidance, inspiration and comfort. It's simplicity of use gives it extra marks from my end! Thank you for this!

Unsharable. I purchased the app so me and my kids could go through the prayers on our own time, than share about them later on together. I find it very unreasonable that a prayer app cannot be shared through apple family sharing without everyone buying a subscription. Promoting prayer is important, promoting family prayer is most important. Change the policy Hallow .

Divine intervention is real. I am grateful for God’s divine intervention in seeing and hearing me ask for help to become closer to him. My journey includes this app. I believe with all my heart that God has intervened to help me through the loving service and guidance of Hallow.

It’s Amazing. It has a bunch of stuff that will help you grow closer to god so definitely give it a try but i wish it was entirely free though

Unable to get 90 free trial. I signed up for the 90 day free trial and then opened the app. As soon as I tried to join the Lent challenge, the app wanted me to sign up for a 30 day free trial. The app is not recognizing my 90 day free trial. I cancelled it as it’s not working for me. Sad because I was really looking forward to the Lenten challenge. 😞

Hollow review. What an amazing app to pray with! It helps me keep track of my prayer life when I am forgetful, and it has officially improved my prayer life and my relations with the father, son, and Holy Spirit. This is a miracle app!

Interesting. I’m a bit confused because I signed up through IG where it said its a 30 day free trial. However after downloading the app in the app it says its a 7 day free trial. Kind of starting off on the wrong foot here. Because of this discrepancy I’m not feeling very good about the app

Thank you Jesus. When i was young i was bullied but i kept that pain inside me. Growing up, this leaded me to take bad decisions to try to get the respect from my friends (drugs, sex, etc). As I started a business and became millionaire later, much I was doing was to try to prove to other what i’ve had accomplished… big car, big house, numerous travels… God came back to my life 2 years ago but I still couldn’t understand why i wasn’t able to surrender totally. During that Hallow prayer about surrender, i really felt like God explained to me that those event that I had buried deep down were the cause of my lack of humility. Thank you God and Hallow team for this.

Most Good Part Need Subscription. You developed a great app and is a great help for this generation. Though I understand that funds needs to be generated for the sustainability of the app and its maintenance, however I cannot afford extra expenses as missionary family in North America especially with the high cost of living. My children love using it, though a lot of good stuff are unavailable in the free version. Keep up the good work in the Lord’s vineyard.

Great app for prayer and meditation however….. I have been a year subscriber of this app and I loved it so much. No doubt this app help me to deepen my faith and prayer life. The only suggestion that I can have right now is I hope they will allow the music section to be connected to some assistant such as Google, Alexa and bixby. I tend from time to time to just listen it in my room and meditate and sometimes earphones or EarPods are not available around me. That’s all I can say for now PS: kudos to the team of Hallow more Catholic guests please such as Cardinal Collins, more of Dr. Edward Sri etc.

Thumbs up. Lots of things to do for Lent. To strengthen my faith

Unethical. I signed up for the free trial. I thought the app was great, and planned to subscribe on a monthly basis once the trial was over. However, I did not receive any reminders as the free trial ended, and I was automatically billed for an entire year, which I cannot afford. I cancelled immediately when I noticed the withdrawal from my bank account. I’m frankly surprised that a Catholic business would operate this way. The product itself is great, but I don’t want anything to do with a business that operates this way.

It’s given me hope. Today I listened to the 40 day. I can’t express how much it taught me and gave me hope for what I am going through now

Great app for newbies. I was raised conservative Baptist and I’m very drawn to Catholicism. This app is giving me a better under standing of the religion. I really like studying it and it’s a great way to start and end your day.

Sitting with Jesus. I always found my prayer so mechanical but this has opened up a whole New World. I actually feel like I’m sitting with my Lord Jesus and we are together in these moments of prayer where before it was like I was leaving a message on an answering machine still grateful and thankful but alone, talking to space not sitting with my Lord.

Love this app!. If you are always on your phone, and want to start having better praying habits don’t hesitate AND GET IT NOW. You have to get this app. It helps your prayer be reverent and have structure. It encourages you to be consistent as well. And it actually helps you to get use to sitting in silence. We are all bombarded by technology, so start practicing inner silence that enhances prayer. I pray that all that use this app become more saintly everyday. Viva Cristo Rey!

Amazing…but…subscribing not so amazing. The app WAS amazing I subscribed for the year. I was doing the lent challenge and I went this morning and said I had to subscribe. I tried to message the contact but no one is ever available always says be back later, be back tomorrow…all non sense. Not happy with that at all. I just want to be connected again or someone help me. No number is provided I emailed and contacted on app. Took my money but no access no answers and no contact.

As a liberal Catholic I am ashamed to have given this app money. It was the blind-siding by Tammy Peterson that tipped me over the edge. I had been able to ignore Bishop Barron and an actor who makes Jesus sound like a vaguely menacing mobster, and had focussed more on the gentler prayers and guidance, but the Peterson nonsense in the Pray 40 series sent me on a quest to understand what this app is funding. I will have to go to reconciliation to deal with my carelessness in subscribing to this cash siphon to an anti-pope money-grab.
