Un’opera che è il risultato di un’approfondita indagine condotta tra Spagna e Inghilterra, resa possibile anche grazie all’aiuto di Priscilla Tolkien, figlia del famoso scrittore, la cui testimonianza ha fornito dettagli finora inediti sul legame tra suo padre e la Spagna. Un’autentica saga familiare che, dal mondo dell’imprenditoria vinicola britannica sviluppatasi in Andalusia sin dal XVII secolo, attraverso gli anni del “risveglio cattolico” in Inghilterra nel XIX secolo giunge fino al Novecento, facendo luce su aspetti della vita e dell’opera di Tolkien che, senza la figura di questo prete anglo-spagnolo (spesso, a torto, aspramente criticato), non si potrebbero cogliere a pieno.
