A marriage in difficulty. The Grace book three is a challenging and inspiring story of the dealings of God with a mega-church pastor and his wife and the journey they are on through difficult circumstances in their lives and marriage. This is an encouraging book of how God works out His plan for people who are disenchanted with their lives and situations.

The series powers on!. Often as series progress the stories begin to tire and lose their power, but with each new instalment, Christine Dillon’s ‘Grace’ books has only got better and gone from strength to strength! I’ll be honest and say that I was a bit disappointed when I first read the synopsis and realised that this story was centred on Blanche and William. It wasn’t really the direction in which I wanted to head, and I wasn’t expecting much of a story, but I was wrong, so wrong. Such a gripping, all-engrossing book that I didn’t want to put down. As always, Grace In Deep Waters was based firmly in God’s Word. In some ways, there was nothing I hadn’t heard or read before, but I feel like there were so many truths I saw and understood in new ways. I especially appreciated the reminder that nothing is impossible for God, and I was lead to pray for situations in my own life and the lives of others. We are weak, but God is mighty and powerful - nothing is too hard for Him - and this is a message that came through loud and clear throughout this tale. I can’t wait for the next book in the series … P.S. Keep a box of tissues handy. You’ll need them!

Beautifully written. The third book in the Grace series, this time focusing on the relationship between William and Blanche. I started the book with preconceived notions about William and not liking his character at all, but by the end of the novel, I was wholeheartedly sympathetic to how his character was portrayed. Real emotions beautifully expressed in relatable characters that challenge your thinking about marriage and where loyalties lie between a husband and a wife. Easy to read and hard to put down.

A Relationship Worth Persevering In?. I'm slowly changing my views on Christian Fiction, but am yet to pick any of it up outside of this series (and if I do, it will be because this series has made me realise that Christian fiction can be well-written, realistic, practical and have minimal romance). As with all the previous books it has been well written and also practical helping me think about the hard things of life. I loved getting to know some of the minor characters from the previous books more. And also loved reading about Lord Howe Island. It's a book about what to do in the hard times of life and dealing with grief. But manages to be way more engaging than I've made it sound. Definitely recommend reading this book (and the others). It's currently my highest rated book of 2019 and that's not an easy title to gain. (I've read 0ver 70 books this year.)

Compelling and tightly-written. My favourite so far of the Grace series. It is so tightly written, compelling, heartbreaking and encouraging at the same time. I love how the author boldly tackles the messiness of real life, and examines questions Christians often shy away from or give cookie-cutter answers to. Yet she does so in a beautiful, clever and readable way!

Heart wrenching and soul quenching. Christine Dillon has once again delivered a novel that had me transfixed until the very last page. She has an uncanny way of bringing her characters to life. A life that is bright and colourful yet deep and mysterious. And she does this in a way that enables me to effortlessly share in their emotions: anguish and fear, hope and love. So much so that I can’t help but shed tears of sorrow when they encounter the bad that life has to offer as well as tears of joy when they experience the good. But to give Christine all the credit would leave out how God is working so wonderfully through her writing. This novel truly is a blessing to her readers. And, although it ties up many loose ends that the previous novel left us with, it still has me hungry for more.
