Imaging of Metabolic Bone Disease by Mitsunaga, Myles Book Summary

We have included in this book a wide variety of metabolic disorders that result in abnormalities of osseous structures. While demographics, pathophysiology and clinical features have been included, the emphasis is on imaging hallmarks of each entity along with key points. All chapters are organized in a consistent style. The idea of this book was borne out of a discussion with residents rotating in Musculoskeletal Radiology of how while there are such diverse metabolic disease groups affecting bones but there is a relative dearth of concentrated literature on these entities. We have made every effort to organize these disease entities in a straightforward approach with a table of contents that we hope is user friendly. The book is intended to be readable over several nights and serve as a review of metabolic osseous conditions for residents and fellows rotating in musculoskeletal radiology. This book will also serve a general radiologist well who wishes to brush up on metabolic disorders afflicting bones.
