Toman la trayectoria pública del artista peruano Herbert Rodríguez como un hilo conductor para explorar las múltiples manifestaciones de una dinámica libre que ha cuajado en un pensamiento contracultural desde 1979 al presente. Su crecimiento ha estado y sigue estando sostenido por diversos núcleos de personas, entregadas a diferentes activismos que constituyen otras tantas luchas urbanas comprometidas con la justicia y los derechos ciudadanos en nuestro país. This book recognizes a new and possible horizon for cultural work in twenty-first century Peru. Its authors ascertain and chart out a territory that has seldom been surveyed in full until now. Taking Peruvian artist Herbert Rodriguez’ public achievement as a cue, they identify the multiple manifestations of a free-form dynamics in the rise of counter-cultural thinking from 1979 to the present. Its growth has been supported all along by diverse clusters of individuals, wholeheartedly committed to different kinds of urban activism, fully engaged in the struggle for justice and civil rights in our country.
