Loved It❤️. I absolutely enjoyed reading Anna Zaires new book Devil’s Lair. It has an amazing storyline and compelling characters. I was enthralled throughout the book and was sorry to see it end. I found Chloe and Nikolai such personable characters and I loved reading about all they had to overcome to find their happy ever after. Chloe is sweet and innocent yet a sensuous creature at heart and Nikolai is dark and brooding yet with strong protective and loving instincts. When he and Chloe meet sparks fly and the resulting passion they find in each other is hot enough to make you melt. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a dark yet romantic read. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Shades of Julien. Yes! I loved this book. Warning, it is another “want to read in one sitting” Zaire’s book. From the first page you know you need to buckle up. Nikolai is very shades of Julien from “Twist Me” ( my fave of Anna Zaire’s). The instant, intense desire between the Nikolai and Chloe heats up quickly. Anna weaves the romance with a great story. May I say a HUGE thank you for only making readers wait a month for the second in the series! I have stopped buying series books when readers have to wait so long for sequels, if they come at all or end in a cliff hanger. This book is awesome and although the there is more to the story and I can’t wait for book 2, Anna doesn’t make you feel like she just stopped writing in the middle of a scene. Highly recommend. Another dark romance hero to love! ❤️. 4.5 Stars I loved this first book in what I think will be a duet featuring new characters from one of my favorite authors. It is a dark romance though not all that dark on my personal scale at all, and not the darkest from this author by any means. I was engrossed in the relationship dynamics in this story from the beginning, and absolutely loved that the hero has a son he has trouble connecting to. There are several side characters that have the potential to have their own books down the line but the focus is on Chloe and Nikolai, who have an instant, strong connection to one another but are both trying to unravel the mysteries of each other's pasts. Nikolai is the intense, dangerous but fiercely protective and possessive hero we all love, and might be my favorite hero from this author since Julian. As usual, the writing and editing are top-notch and flow beautifully to a climactic ending that sets up the story for book two without being a cliffhanger. I can't wait to find out how Nikolai and Chloe resolve the issues they are facing, both between each other and the outside world.

Powerful story line. Great story. Strong characters. I had a hard time putting it down really. I would of gave it 5 stars but I felt like it was rushed at times and lagged when it came to Chloe expressing her feelings in her head. A little too much. The juicy scenes could of been played out more also. There were all these feeling that lead up to their first time together. But it was a little of a let down for me. I actually loved the way this writer writes. But I would of loved to of had just more in those worked up moments and less in the expression of thoughts in Chloe’s head. But this story has intrigued me enough to get the next book. This could of been one of the best stories I read all year if just a couple of things were tweaked. So I’m gonna give this author a closer look.

Waste of time. This story was so weak on so many levels. Weak characters, weak storyline, horrible dialogue. I’ve read really good erotica that is just intellectually stimulating as it is sexually. This book just falls flat and with a cliffhanger that I will gladly ignore! Not”pre-ordering” the second book... not worth it! Sorry, not sorry!

Mysteriously hot 🥵!. This book had me on the edge of my seat. As usual Ms. Anna has done it again with the bossy, alpha male, that has it bad for it’s heroine. I liked how they both tried to unravel each other’s dark secrets. This book was definitely a mystery. Also, Nikolai is seriously scary, but alluring. Let’s just say I might have a new book boyfriend. Absolutely love everything this author writes. I knew I would be in love and would finish this book in one day because that’s how I normally am with all of the other books. Another character to love and I’m desperately waiting for the continuation of the story. This is definitely a book to heat up a room.

Enter this devil’s lair!. I was pulled into this story right away, and it never let me go. When Chloe entered Nikolai’s life and home, she unknowingly entered the devil’s lair, and I was excited by it all. They had an instant attraction, and their chemistry was intense. He was fascinated by her and felt a pull toward her. She felt it too, but she also felt his danger and darkness lurking underneath his civilized appearance. He wanted to possess and protect her, and she was the light to his darkness. Her light also had some dark moments, and I felt for her many times. She was a smart, kind woman that I liked. He was my kind of anti-hero and devil who was not afraid to get his hands dirty along with his dark, possessive, protective qualities. What started as an instant attraction between them turned into a “powerful connection” that captivated me. But with that connection came mysteries that intrigued me and kept me reading. The events that transpired at the end of this book had me on the edge of my seat with tears in my eyes, so as I read the last page I was already anxiously awaiting the conclusion to this duet! I definitely recommend you enter this devil’s lair! I requested and received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review that I am voluntarily leaving.

The Devil Is Hot. Anna Zaires has done it again! Nobody writes a dark romance like she does. She draws you in quickly with her special set of skills until you are so immersed in the story you realize it’s 6am and you’ve been up all night fantasizing about your new Russian book boyfriend. I’m not going to share any spoilers because I believe the mysteries in the book are half the fun. What I will share are that the characters have depth, passion, fears and you can see why they are the way they are. I can picture the setting, people and situations perfectly because Anna has this unique ability to describe the essentials and none of the stuff you don’t need, the filler. Great book!. Holy smokes this book!!! So many thoughts and feelings all at once. First, this book was beyond amazing. It was a slow burn, dark, seductive, thrilling romance. Second, Anna Zaires is an incredible storyteller. This story just pulled me in and never let me go. Whenever I took a reading break, my mind was still in this world with Nikolai and Chloe. Gah! Move over Julian, Nikolai is the new dark prince in town. He was dark, sexy, possessive, protective with a secret soft side only his love ones experience. Chloe was brave and strong, definitely smart enough to evade the assassins after her for a month before she fell into Nikolai’s arms. That twist cliffhanger was definitely predictable, but still wildly entertaining. I can’t wait for book two to see how Nikolai wins Chole’s love and trust. I would love to see how Nikolai and Slava develop their father/son relationship. I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you love dark, gripping romance. OMG!!!!! 😍. I could not put this book down and I’m buying the next book immediately! The storyline was written so well I felt like I WAS Chole. I found myself thinking about this book even when I wasn’t reading it. I don’t want to give too much away if you haven’t read it yet….but this book is most definitely a good read. I started with just the sample and I just had to continue reading it. The plot in the story is insane and once you get to the end EVERYTHING begins to make sense and add up. This book is seductive and addictive. Nikolai is so assertive, and magnetic, but he’s also slightly scary but in a spellbinding way. I can’t wait to start the next book.

Excellent Read. This book is the first in the Molotov Obsession Duet by Anna Zaires who has written another excellent dark and suspenseful mafia romance featuring Chloe Emmons, who is being pursued by the men who killed her mother and now want to murder her, and Nikolai Molotov, the leader of a powerful Russian mafia family and single father who hires Chloe as a tutor for his son, Miroslav/Slava. All seems to be going well for Chloe living on the secured compound of Nikolai until Alina, his sister, confides information about him which causes her to question where she would be the safer with her pursuers or with Nikolai. The book starts with action and suspense from the first page. This mafia romance has well developed characters and a dark story with intrigue, suspense, seduction, and a cliffhanger. Engaging & Enthralling!. Loved reading the engaging and enthralling story. While Chloe is trying to allude her killers, she gets a job working for a handsome, charismatic, dangerous man, Nicolai, taking care of his son. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of romance and suspense, and a must read riveting story. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Addictive. I am puzzled at how Anna always makes you fall so deeply in love with her characters. How she makes you not want to put the book down and still not wanting it to end. I am also grateful it is not too long for the next book. Brilliantly done.

The Devil Is In The Details. Anna Zaries is an AWESOME writer and “Devil’s Lair”exceeds my expectations of her works! Although a dark romance, this is on the lighter end of the darkness scale. Chloe is running for her life. She came home to find her mother dead and the killers still in her home, causing her to flee. Her mother’s death was ruled a suicide, and Chloe could get no one to believe that her mom was murdered. On the run for weeks, evading her would be assassins at every turn, she is down to her last few dollars when she sees an add for a tutor. As fate would have it, Chloe gets the job on a remote compound and is immediately intrigued by her employer, Russian billionaire Nikolai Molotov, and the feeling is definitely mutual. Despite being physically drawn to Nikolai, Chloe senses a darkness in him, an aura of danger. For Nikolai, what starts out as lust quickly morphs into obsession! I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Dark secrets vs mysterious secrets. A story filled with different levels of secrets. A story entwined with darkness and light. There is too much repetitiveness when it comes to the all out lust, I get it the first time. 🙂 Do real people fall in ‘lust’ that quickly? I must lead a boring life. Not a bad story, a predictable plot though.

eh. unsure why it’s been made into two books, it’s not even really a cliffhanger more of a way to get people to spend more money. Other than that it’s decent but it’s slow burning but also far too quick. 4/10

Wow! I loved it!. OMG! I loved it! Devil's Lair is the first book in the Molotov Obsession Series, an amazingly dark mafia romance. Nikolai and Chloe's story is captivating, suspenseful, and filled with action, mystery, and secrets. Nikolai is ruthless, alpha, powerful, handsome, possessive, and protective. Chloe is such a beautiful, strong character, caring, smart, and brave. They are opposites attract, and they share an undeniable, and strong chemistry. Never a dull moment in this first installment. Impossible to put it down. The story has some explicit scenes of violence. The audiobook version is amazing! Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton did an outstanding job with the narration. I love their voices together. This is a fantastic team author/narrators. Now I can't wait to listen to Angel's Cage, the next book in the Series, to know what happens next. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Absolutely amazing. Incredibly hard to put down once you start, i read it in a day. Incredibly captivating story intricately thought out and delivered through the POV of Nikolai and Chloe. One of my all time favourites now for sure, just the right amount of romance, spice and danger. Amazing job author!
