The beautiful Broken. This is the book that started my obsession with JL Drake’s work. From the first few pages I was drawn into this book and frequently go back to reread it. It was a book I could not put down and still consider it one of my all time favorites. The story will hook you from the start while leaving you feeling connected and engaged throughout. JL Drake taps into those critical emotions that provide the best reads. How did a man fall so deeply in love from only the depths of ones eyes? Is it possible there is a love strong enough, deep enough, and devoted enough to heal the Broken? An amazing story unfolds and pulls you into their world. Caution: hang on for the ride as she can cause wicked emotional outbursts while reading (in the best way). You will jot be able to put this book down and you will crave more of their story.

Edge of your seat good.... What can I say about Broken to summarize how GREAT it is? Savi and Cole have a long road ahead of them but this story is about family, loyalty and love. Cole loves fiercely and he has to break down Savi’s walls as she’s been betrayed in the worst possible way. This is about gaining trust and stopping at nothing to get what you want.

Great start to the series. Hooks you from word one and all I can say is have the second book already downloaded before you finish this one. You will not want to wait even a second to start book two.

Broken. Wow! I loved this whole trilogy! There is definitely a cliff hanger on book 1, that left me reeling. Had to get the other books as well! Couldn’t put them down. I will be reading her other books as well!

Savannah and Cole. The first piece of advice, go ahead and download the whole series because you're not going to want to put it down. This is one of my favorite love/action stories I've read. Drake has a unique way of keeping you engaged with all her characters and you won't be disappointed with any of her books. edited to add - I have read this story to many times to count now and it gets better and better as time goes on, you won't be disappointed

Great book!. This was the first book that I read from JL Drake and it totally hooked me in! This story was so good! In fact I immediately had to buy the rest of the series to read them all back to back! Recommend this book if you like romance/suspense!!

The Broken trilogy begins when we meet Savannah. Savannah has been kidnapped and she has no idea why, Cole and his team come to the rescue. ****** Overall Rating: 4 stars Standalone: No but all books are released Genre: Spec ops / military romance ****** Savannah, a mayors daughter, has been through a rough time, but she doesn't turn into a cowering heroine and doesn't instantly fall at her rescuers feet. Cole is alpha and leader of the special forces unit that is sent in to rescue Savannah. He strongly feels a sense of duty and doesn't want to cross lines, but there is chemistry between these two characters. In this book we get to meet the entire cast of characters, and what characters they are, from the funny Mark to the ever quiet Mike, to Keith...oh Keith. There are twists and turns, heartache, and humor but mostly you will be on the edge of your seat. It is a wonderful romantic suspense book. Good story, great characters and thank goodness I read this once all the books were out or I would have lost it....this has one heck of a cliffhanger. I definitely recommend this one/series.

Love love love it!!!!!!. You will need to buy the entire set. This is my first book from the author and I have purchased every single book she has written. The characters are captivating. I was so deep in the story, I couldn’t put the book down. Trust me, you will be begging J.L. Drake for more Blackstone.

Beautifully Written. This is the book that grabbed my heart. The story is fast paced and grabs at all the feels. Warning - have tissues and book two ready. This book for me made J.L. Drake a must read forever!

Always a favorite. Broken is by far one of the best Books I’ve ever read. This anniversary edition is beautiful and the story still doesn’t disappoint. I highly recommend Checking it out if you haven’t already!

Heartbroken. What a story. My heart breaks for Cole & Savi!

Well written, but.... The most annoying part of EVERY book in this series? The male POV chapter (Cole and then Mark in book 3) is written in 3rd person. Why?!?! I just don’t get it. Are the men just that egotistical that they can’t help but to refer to themselves in 3rd person? Why make it a POV chapter if it’s not their direct POV? It drove me bat poo crazy reading Cole’s chapters. I actually went back to the start of his first chapter thinking it was still Savannah talking, but no, the heading said Cole. The series was otherwise well written and a decent read, but if writing a POV chapter in 3rd person is standard for this author, it will be my first and last time reading her/his work. My OCD can’t handle anymore 3rd person POV chapters!

You need to start Savi and Cole’s story now!. This is such a great story and the anniversary edition with the new cover is gorgeous. I'm glad Cole and Savi's story is being brought to life again- great military romantic suspense!

Broken. Couldn’t put this down. Loved all the “good characters”, especially Savi and Cole. Don’t miss this series. I am reading Mended now, have already read Shattered. J,L. Drake.....I love your stories.

LOVE. Was searching through the free books hoping to find something to occupy my afternoon with. I stumbled upon this one thinking, meh, I’ll give it a shot. Started reading the first book and could not put it down. I ended up purchasing book 2 and 3. I read all three within a week. Loved everything about the story line, characters, plot twist. Really loved this series :)
