Amazing!. Freakin amazing... These books keep getting better. The character build is done very well. You get to see more insight to Kai and what he means to his family, what he stands for and the impact he had on them. Corinne is such a strong, loving, mother hen person ready to fight to protect and do right. Even though she's a princess she treats all with respect. I did not see the twist coming and it being someone like family to her. I felt betrayed as well. I instantly fell in love with Jace, who was so much like Kai. Corinne and Jace fit perfectly together like a puzzle piece. He accepted her, just as Kai accepted Scarlett. The end just opens up old wounds and his death being so fresh and her heart ache, I lost it. The backstory, omg poor Corinne, how could a father do that! And still she held no ill will toward him and still loves him.

Still lovin’ it!. I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the series. I loved that the authors provided Corrine with the opportunity to develop into a very strong and distinct character. Her and Nightfall have much in common, but not everything. It seems that they could balance each other well as they strive towards their end goals. I also enjoyed the new characters as well as the allusive hints to what may come to pass. As always, there is some pain, but it serves well in developing what Corrine ultimately fights for, and I enjoy a story that is rooted a bit more in the reality of what life may actually be in a world such as this (not all sunshine and rainbows). I'm ready for Daughter of Strife!!!!
