Fool Me Twice. Not sure if I have read this author before, her name is familiar. This was a manic kind of story, almost too busy for me to enjoy. Couldn’t agree with the couple for not coming clean with their parents from the start, but then we wouldn’t have the story. I sympathized with Chuck the whole time.

Wonderful Christmas Story. Really loved this short, sweet Christmas story. Many laugh out loud moments. Kate and Chuck just keep getting deeper and deeper in their efforts to end the lies they keep stumbling into. Such a fun story with adorable characters. Plenty of laughter. This story was great, I enjoyed reading the story in alternating viewpoints of the two main characters. As I was reading and laughing, I just kept thinking, this is like watching a snowball roll down a hill . The snowball gets bigger and bigger till it’s huge and then it smashes into a tree and explodes. You really need to read the story, definitely worth your time.

Entertaining seasonal rom-com!!. Goodness, this quick story is a perfect seasonal distraction!!! It touches on all of those adorable quirks that I absolutely love about rom-coms. A false relationship that just spirals out of control as the lies start to build up and offers quite a bit of comedic moments. I could easily picture this being made into a movie. The story is told from alternating perspectives. Chuck and Kate have been destined to be soulmates since birth. Their parents are besties who own and operate a very successful chocolate franchise. They do absolutely everything together, which was perfect up until the golden couple split up four months ago and neglected to tell anyone. Now home for the holidays, they intend to break the news to their loved ones, but never get the chance as one lie, multiple misconstrued moments and guilt over ruining everyone expectations get blown way out of hand. The situations these two found themselves in was outrageously entertaining and hilarious! Their overbearing families truly added to the chaos as well. I read this in one sitting and just couldn't stop smiling throughout the entire book. Along with plenty of humor, there is a great lesson about relationships. How you continuously need to work at them and how open communication is the key to true happiness. This in book one in the Christmas Romantic Comedy series. I definitely look forward to reading the sequel, A Christmas Caroline. It's a modern retelling of A Christmas Carol!

Everything I want in a holiday rom-com!. If you love Hallmark movies or Fa-la-la Lifetime and enjoy fake-dating rom coms, you are going to love this book! Chuck and Kate broke up after almost a decade together - clarification, Kate dumped Chuck. But they haven’t told their families yet because not only are their parents best friends, their parents are co-owners of a hugely successful chocolate company. So even though it’s been four months since the break up, they haven’t said anything yet because they decided it would be best to share the news together in person. At Christmas. Ridiculous event after ridiculous event keeps them from sharing the news. This was definitely one of those laugh-out-loud cringe-because-you’re-embarrassed-for-them books and I loved every second. Toss in some fun holiday traditions and it’s perfect for this time of year! You can’t help but root for Kate and Chuck to find their way back to one another! Can’t wait to read the other Christmas Rom-Coms from Camilla Isley!

ESH. Every single character is insufferable, the plot is ridiculous, and the ending isn’t even satisfying after suffering through all the mediocre writing about inexplicable decisions.

Epic. Wow. I haven’t devoured a book that fast in a while. What can go wrong, does go wrong! The series of events in this story make will make you cringe and smile - totally fantastic. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I’m partial to romance novels that are a little dirtier, but Camilla is one of the few romance authors who doesn’t need “steam” to tell a great story.

No holiday spirit!. I think Chuck deserved better- did not like the way Kate treated him in the story. She seemed very self centered and more about what she wanted and not respectful of his feelings. Took away from my enjoyment of the book. No holiday spirit.

Worth the read. I’m a sucker for a good Christmas book. Worth the read.

SO MUCH FESTIVE FUN!!. Ohmygosh I loved this holiday rom-com so much! Fool Me Twice at Christmas by Camilla Isley may end up being my favorite holiday read of the year and I haven’t even made it to November yet. I smiled, I laughed, I couldn’t put it down. Fool Me Twice at Christmas is Isley’s first book in her holiday romantic comedy series, but each one can be read as a standalone. And I may have already purchased the next one, A Christmas Caroline, which is inspired by A Christmas Carol. Fool Me Twice at Christmas is a second chance, fake-dating, only-one-bed romance set at Christmas. One might think, well that’s too many tropes in one book, but somehow Isley makes it work! This one is a fast, heart-warming ride. From the first page, Isley had me fully committed. I had so much fun watching Chuck and Kate slowly unravel as their lies kept growing and they couldn’t seem to catch a break. But also knowing it’s what they needed to push them into admitting how they really felt about each other. And what instigates this couple’s troubles? Their parents have been best friends for years, as well as being business partners, and Chuck and Kate’s joining of the families has been their parents ultimate dream since their kids were young. And so much of their relationship is tied into the success of the family business, a highly successful chocolate factory that is the talk of the town. Watching how Chuck and Kate go from attempting to gently break the news to their parents that they are no longer a couple to being engaged was laugh-out-loud festive fun. Add this one to your holiday TBR!

Humorous second chance. This book truly was a comedy of errors … they way everything kept going wrong was hilarious… all the misunderstandings and the way the forced proximity (and premarital course, LOL) forced these two to analyze the true causes of their breakup. I loved it…

Love at Christmas. Sweet story about chuck, Kate, chocolate, their families and how they can’t get out of their own way. Chuck and Kate broke up and haven’t told anyone. Their trip home gets crazy with a fake relationship, fake engagement, wedding and more. Can Kate and chuck find their way back together or will the holidays be ruined forever.

Fool Me Twice at Christmas. If you like HEA you will like this book. I liked how the author was able to make you really see how the female character comes to the realization who is her HEA. I really enjoyed the book and had a few laughs as well.

Quick, Fun Holiday Read. This was such a fun quick Holiday read!! Thank you so much to Camilla for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I looove the fake dating trope, so when I saw that this book was fake dating + 2nd chance romance + home for the holidays, I was super excited!! Chuck and Kate grew up together and eventually fell in love. And everything was just as they (and their parents) had hoped until it wasn’t. But due to the fact that their lives were so intertwined (co-owning a chocolate company), Chuck and Kate didn’t feel like they could tell their parents they had broken up- hence the fake dating. They had planned to tell them over the holidays when literally everything goes wrong. This book was so fun and quick. I loved the dual perspective, and being able to see the story from different points of view, and I loved how much it was clear that Chuck and Kate belonged together. I think because it was told in different points of view, I did have a hard time feeling sympathetic for Chuck and Kate (Kate in particular), and part of that could be because it never seemed like there was a good reason for her to have broken things off with Chuck to begin with. She came across as a spoiled whiney brat for the beginning portion of the book. Thankfully I was able to warm up to her, and by the end was fully rooting for these 2 to get together! If you’re looking for a quick, fun, holiday read, definitely look no further!!

An amazing fake everything story. This was a delightful holiday read revolving around a second chance relationship. Chuck and Kate have broken up but haven't told their families. When they come home for Christmas, utter chaos reigns. This book has it all, forced proximity, fake baby, and more. The laughs keep coming even as the emotional aspect of the story grows. Take a chance and fall in love with Chuck and Kate yourself.

Cute. It was a cute story. I loved Chuck but didn’t have to warm fuzzies about Kate in the beginning. It took a minute for her to grow on me. I also loved Chuck’s interaction with the Girl Scouts. So cute!

Love, lies, business, and parents!. What a delightful book about two young people who have been in love for ten years and they break-up. Only hearts don’t always get the memo. Complications include telling the parents who happened to be best friends and business partners. Lies are hard to confess, and Kate and Chuck’s attempts to fess up about their break-up are thwarted time and time again. A fun book that was hard to stop reading because I needed to know what happened next, which certainly wasn’t predictable! Loads of laughs and sweet scenes. My favorite was the Girl Scout bus ride! Great characters and easy flowing format of telling the story alternating between Kate and Chuck’s viewpoints. I loved it!11

Cute holiday story. Cute holiday romance between two best friends as their paths converge again and they experience a comedy of errors of sorts, full of misunderstandings and missed timings. Great writing style, I enjoyed it.

Sweet second chance story. The story is light and nice with a sweet ending and a sweeter bonus epilogue. Chuck is so sweet and understanding. I like the author’s style of writing. I have read numerous books from the same author. I like that the story is narrated from dual povs. Can’t wait to read the next books in the series!

Really bad. Boring, not believable and all characters are annoying

An entertaining story of breakup and reconciliation. A 3.75 out of 5. While I enjoyed the story, it was frustrating how they allowed their parents to dominate their lives, refusing to say ‘no’ to not hurt their feelings, meanwhile losing themselves. It’s hard to picture them as adults. Also the reason why dating for 10 years is such a bad idea. Maybe that’s my issue, but it builds complacency. Nevertheless, entertaining and well written.

So Cute. This is such a cute Christmas story. It was funny and a really fun read, perfect for getting you in the holiday mood. There’s something about fake relationship stories, especially around the holidays, that I always really enjoy. If you want a good clean holiday romance then I highly recommend Fool Me Twice
