Friends to lovers…finally. I’m very torn about this book. One the one hand, I’ve been looking forward to Clara and Xavier’s friends to lovers story since the beginning of the series. I love this trope and it’s hard to disappoint me. But as we watched the deterioration of their friendship throughout other books, and we see the tool that X turned into, I wondered how the author was going to turn this around. I wanted Clara to make him grovel. I wanted her to have a relationship with someone else and Xavier had to win her over. I wanted him to be as humiliated…okay, maybe just hurt a bit…as she was when he flaunted that bimbo, I mean model. I guess he groveled a bit, but not enough for me. I’m glad they found their way together and I’m glad readers didn’t need to wait until the end of the series to give them their HEA. But I’m hoping fro have my socks knocked off with Mandy and Chevelle’s stories. Still a 4 star read.

X and Clara. This is Xavier and Clara's story and I have waited from the very first book in this series to see them find their happily ever after romance. Its a second chance romcom story and we get to hear all the details on what split them up a few years before. I do suggest you read A Greene Family Vacation before you read this one because it does refer to some things that happened in that book. Also while this book can stand alone, you will enjoy this story much more if you start with the first book in the series. Xavier and Clara throughout this story and series were besties who grew up together and whose moms were besties too. This story made me sigh, laugh, get annoyed with Xavier and even cry a few tears. It was absolutely everything the authors have built it up to be and more. I loved it so much. I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great friends to lovers romance. I have been anxiously waiting for Xander and Clara’s story. Xander and Clara became best friends in Kindergarten. Everyone in their small town of Sunrise Bay Alaska assumes that there is more than friendship between them now that they are adults. Two years ago something happened, and Xander and Clara’s friendship ended. With a little help from the meddling grannies Ethel, Dory and Midge, can Xander and Clara get past what caused their rift? This is a great friends to lovers romance and a great addition to this series. I was given an arc of this book from the author for my honest review.

My Scorned Best Friend ( Book 7 Green Family ) by Piper Rayne. This is book 7 in the Green Family series and Xavier and Clara’s story . They were best friends since grade school but one night together almost ruined that friendship . These two finally found their HEA together .

Xavier and Clara. What can I say other than this book seriously had me all in my feels. I have been waiting so long for Xavier and Clara’s book and it was amazing. I felt every emotion possible reading this book and was so sucked in. I hoped that Xavier would make some sort of grand gesture to make everything up to Clara and I am happy to say my expectations were surpassed. I love this series and am so glad it’s back. I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

All the little hints throughout the other books really made the anticipation for this so worth it! I loved this instalment of the series, we finally get a look at who these two are and I love them so much! 💗 Clara is strong and independent without being mean and unlikeable. I liked that she wore her emotions on her sleeve when it was necessary. 💜 Xavier wasn't what I was expecting but in the best possible way. He was definitely husbandoo material after he finally admitted to himself what everyone else already knew!👀 I loved these two together their friendship was so well developed that you felt your heart break when you're reading about what happened to drive these two apart. Love, love the Greene's👌🏻💚 Narration; 🎧 The narration for this one was one of my favorites! Aaron Shedlock kills it was Xavier. Giving him vulnerability and dominance one never overpowering the other! 💙 Holly Warren was amazing! I loved her performance as Clara she really brought the character to life!💓 Overall this is such a great addition to the already amazing series! Everything I wanted for X and Clara!. I’ve been intrigued by Xavier and Clara’s story since the start of the Greene Family series, and My Scorned Beat Friend did not disappoint!! All of my questions about their friendship and how it fell apart were answered — and it was a lovely journey as X and Clara repaired their friendship and eventually took a chance on love. The intervention scene with his family had me in tears; everyone knew how perfect Clara was for him, but X was so afraid to take that leap. I appreciated how there was minimal drama from outside forces when it came to X and Clara. It was all about X needing to get over himself and setting aside his self-imposed fears when it came to their relationship. Narrators Aaron Shedlock and Holly Warren did a fabulous job of bringing these two characters to life, and I loved escaping into this world once again! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Well worth the wait!!. I loved Clara & Xavier’s much anticipated story! How their childhood friendship morphed into true love, with the exception of a few bumps along the way, made me really appreciate Clara so much more. And omg the VHS tape was simply the best!

4.5⭐️. My Scorned Best Friend is the 7th book in the Greene Family series, that follows Xavier Greene and his best friend since kindergarten, Clara. This is probably the most anticipated read in the series (the build up is real), and Piper killed it! Xavier was drafted to the NFL and is now the starting quarterback for the San Francisco Kingsmen, and he asked her to come with him. But Clara has her own life and responsibilities in there small Alaskan hometown. During the off season he'd come home and hang with her, and often during the season she would visit him while he played. That is until two years ago, lines got blurred and everything changed. Now Xavier is left to make amends and restore their friendship once more, but will more come out of this? X and Clara are so cute together, I truly believe that they are destined to be together 💛 I loved the glimpses of the past that were written throughout the story, I felt like it really helped show their friendship since they did started on the outs in the story. This is probably my favorite book in the series thus far!

Did not disappoint. Really enjoyable!. My Scorned Best Friend is the latest addition to The Greene Family series and Xavier and Clara’s story is one we have been patiently waiting for. This book did not disappoint. At all! It was so wonderful being back in Sunrise Bay, Alaska, the small town feel, the extended family bonds and the grandma’s antics made me not want to put the book down. I loved everything, every moment, the way the two best friends since childhood, despite some hard conversations, really are true best friends. Honestly the angst, the drama, the way Xavier is, is a testament to him. Clara is this strong woman, who will go to bat for those she loves. Do they end up as more? Only one way to find out, go one click and read it. You will enjoy it immensely.

All the feels. I love my visits to Sunrise Bay, Alaska, I love the Greene family and this was the book I have been anxiously waiting for. All I’m going to say is Xavier and Clara’s story did not disappoint it was everything I expected and so much more. Xavier and Clara have been best friends since kindergarten, they shared all the important firsts but one night changed everything and for the last two years these two could barely be in the same room as each other. So can these two built fences, can they reconnect and more importantly can they finally admit how they really feel….. My Scorned Best Friend ticked all boxes because it’s a sweet yet steamy romance with all the feels, it’s witty, it’s romantic but my importantly it’s a journey about two friends going back to basics and connecting once again. No visit to Sunrise Bay would be complete without Ethel and Dori making an appearance and giving us more than a few laughs but that only adds to the overall entertainment. This book is about family and friendships and of course love and I highly recommend this entertaining read. A wonderful addition to a wonderful series.

Wonderful!!. What a wonderful and emotional story by Piper Rayne. I adore these ladies and their books and this one certainly delivered all the feels. This series just keeps getting better and better and I devoured this one. I look forward to reading more from this series. This book definitely a five star read!

I loved this book. A book about love, family, loss, closure and hope!. I loved this book and I could not put it down! Xavier took forever to realise that Clara was the one for him! Congratulations to Grandma Ethel, Grandma Dori, Grandma Midge, Hank, Cade, Fisher, Adam, Chevelle, Colin, Rome, Ben, Presley, Rylan and Calista for co-ordinating to get these two together! It was a huge effort! Locking them in Terra and Mare was pure genius on Grandma Ethel’s part! I loved that Hank and Marla gave the VHS tape to watch themselves at eight years old walking down the aisle and how Clara’s Mum and Xavier’s Mum are featured to provide a blessing, closure and hope to this adorable couple! Thank you Piper and Rayne for this beautiful book about love, family, loss, closure and hope for the future!

Great story. It was great to be back visiting the Greene family in Sunrise Bay, Alaska. I have to say I have been waiting for Xavier and Clara’s story and as I expected it was worth the wait. In fact I think that My Scorned Best Friend has become my favourite of the series and since I love all these books, that is saying something. I love friends to lovers stories. Xavier and Clara have been friends for years until something happened that tore them apart. The family have all tried to find with no success. Can these two come to terms with the past and in doing do find a lasting love? First they need to communicate with one another and listen to what the other has to say. If they can do that then they have a fighting chance. The story was fast paced, witty and entertaining and I held me captive from the first to the last word. As always the family is all up in one another business, everyone having an opinion which made for an entertaining read. As I have come to expect from a Piper Rayne novel, there was plenty of fun and laughter with equal parts of romance and love. Ticking every box this book was a little gem and one I highly recommend.

Another perfect story. Absolutely perfect, I couldn’t wait for this story to come and I was not disappointed it had everything you could want in a sweet but still sexy romance book that will give you a good laugh but also will have you craving those sweet tender moments.

A sweet and fun friends to lovers second chance read!. We have been teased about Clara and Xavier’s story since the beginning. I was so excited to finally find out what happened between these two and why it ended their friendship. These two have been friends since kindergarten, however after a falling out and two years of not speaking- it finally becomes to much, all the missing and they both want each other back. The question is, in what way does that happen to be? This story was such an enjoyably read, and oh so sweet. There was lots of laughs, some frustrating parts, and even some emotional moments that had my heart hurting for what happened to their friendship. I loved watching as Xavier and Clara navigated the changes in their feeling from friendship to more, watching how it grew and developed throughout the story. Seeing how they worked to rebuild the trust that was lost and move past and understand the hurt that happened those years ago. I enjoyed Clara a lot, she was always a great side character, but it was nice getting to see how sweet and caring she is, but also so confident in herself and her wants. Xavier has always been a curious one, but getting to see what he keeps hidden, and his reasons for his actions was great. I also loved the little bits we got of these two as children and how their friendship was back then. It is so nice being back in Sunrise Bay and with the Greene Family. I loved being able to catch up with the previous couples and I can’t wait to see what is to come for Mandi Greene’s book, especially after the sneak peak we got! 4⭐️
