So Good!. This book is excellent! Lots of action and layers. Excellent characters and so many wonderful twists and turns!

I love fantasy!. This book has a super cool real world vs fantasy world feel. I absolutely love how Bridget has left parts to figure out about the main characters’ lives, and the worlds they live in! It’s not just an info dump, but revealed at just the right time. The brother sister bond is the best. Also, the relationship between worlds is fascinating and I can’t wait to find out if my theories are correct! This book has just enough action vs character development for my taste!

Loved it!. I love this story! I love books with strong female leads and boy did Alora fight her way through the entire story! The character development was amazing and I fell in love with each and every character and felt like I was with them every step of the way! The world building was amazing! I could not put this book down! Both worlds with completing mesmerizing! I received an advance copy of this book! I cannot wait to see what happens next!!

When two worlds collide.... Wow! Bridget never ceases to amaze me with her story lines. In this book, Alora lives on earth during the day, but also exists in a whole different world, Terra, while she sleeps on earth. When her two worlds collide, she is faced with some tough decisions. I love how this book also portrays the bond between siblings.

What a story. Worlds apart yet connected. This is a riveting story from the start. The sibling relationship is wonderful.

Absolutely loved it!. Another new book from Bridget Baker, another genre. This is a different kind of fantasy book then most anything I’ve ever read. I was blessed to get to be part of the beta reading. When Alora falls asleep on earth, she is awake on Terra. This has been going on her whole life. It’s more than dreaming. If she falls asleep on earth with an injury, when she wakes back up on earth, it’s been healed. People think She’s crazy, except her brother, even if he doesn’t understand. Eventually she begins to see the truth. It’s more than dreams. There really is another world out there and the two worlds are about to collide.

Urban Fantasy for the win!. I have one sibling. I really enjoy the sibling characterization Bridget Baker details. Her writing is clean and clear and so exciting. It’s a page turner for sure.

I’m hooked!!. I was hooked from the start. I was intrigued by the prologue (and had to go back and reread it a few times throughout the book as connections were made), the mention of a trained chicken, and the whole baby naming thing is so odd. I also wanted to know why it was Lift and not lift. So, onward I read! In the story, sleep brings another world where injuries can be repaired or created, not dreams. But like with dreams, hours in the dream world can be just minutes in the real world. One world is regular life and one is a prison. Poor Alora has gone through more than her fair share of tragedies before the book even starts. The more she learns about herself and her past the less she probably wishes she knew. She can’t help herself though, she needs to know the truth about what happened to her parents and herself. Like many of Baker’s main characters, this teenager starts out hidden, unassuming, concealing parts of herself from the greater world. She doesn’t even know the extent of her abilities and has even been thought to have a psychiatric illness for years. So this alternate world may be her brain firing differently, making her see and hear things that no one else can. Her best friend on Earth is her brother and their parents died years ago. On Terra she is an orphan without a brother. Or is she?? The suspense gets worse towards the end. You can’t help but root for Alora and Jesse and feel her desperation as she will do whatever it takes to try and save her brother. I’m very eager to start the next book to see what comes of her attempts! I’d also like to find out how the Exordium works out for her on Earth… And I thought my teenage years were a mess!

You won’t want to put it down!. First book on a series that you will not want to end. Alora and Jesse will capture our hearts in this book, leaving you to want more. Luckily this is just the first book and you can have more with the rest of the series! Bridget Baker really knows how to keep you wanting more and more!

Start it NOW. Get ready to fall in love with a whole new world! Impossible to put down the story of Alora and Jesse. You jump into Alora fighting for her life in 2 worlds. Fascinating story!. Right from the start, this story pulls you into a world where fantasy is the reality and the real world is a struggle. I love how the story weaves in and out of both realms and how the characters interact between the two. Excellent writing, great characters, and fun action. I recommend this whole series. You won’t be disappointed!

Loved it!. Parallel worlds, and fantasy are my two favorite things. I absolutely LOVED this series and Alora and Jesse were the best. We find ourselves in Terra and Earth and both places are riveted with action and mystery. I absolutely loved it!! I just finished and I’m not sure who can be trusted. Ready to dive into the next installment. The audiobook is great!! The narrator, Jennifer Araya is amazing and she is the perfect voice for Alora. Very talented narrator. The variety of voices and inflections she used were easy to distinguish and follow. Highly recommend this series.

Fantastic!. I really didn’t expect to like this as much as I did. Liked it so much I read it in one sitting. Can’t wait to read the next in the series.

Amazing. I absolutely love this book! I don’t know what else to say but if you are a fan Egyptian mythology you need to check this series out. I love how it combines Egyptian mythology into present day. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down!

An intriguing, mind-bending collision of realities: I love how each world is so different but so real, fully fleshed out. And finally, Alora’s character is so excellent. She has a mix of strengths and weaknesses, but doesn’t allow personal, selfish desires—no matter how justified—to keep her from doing what’s right. This is the kind of book I would give to my daughters to both entertain them and give them a good role model.

Unique fantasy!. I loved this first book in the series and can’t wait for more! The juxtaposition of Alora’s two worlds was very unique. I loved reading about the world of Terra and am excited to see how the next part of the story will unfold.

Love this book. I love this book and the originality of it. Every time I thought I knew who the traitor was it was some one else! The love triangle was great too.
