Alex and Ava. I’ve loved every book I’ve read by Lea Coll and she didn’t disappoint with Waiting for You. This is Ava’s story, the younger sister of Juliana. Ava is the manager of Juliana’s B & B and she’s getting the chance to try her recipes out on the guests. At Juliana and Nolan’s wedding, she’s listening to the cello player and thinks of Alex, her best friend’s older brother that she crushed on. Then, she realizes, it is Alex. He’s back in town to complete some of his residency requirements. He always planned to return to New York to get a job and Ava thinks no one will ever stay for her. Her mom didn’t, so why would Alex. Grab your copy of this steamy, emotional read and see what happens. I can’t wait to read the next book from this author.

Interesting storyline. Loved the different back stories and challenges. While the love story was great, gratuitous sex scenes detracted from the story.

Waiting for you. What a beautiful story, so full of different turns of information. From the early years as friends and the interaction of 2 families with insecurities and hurt that ended up being explained and ending up with Love and families wining out in. The End. So Good Yes I would definitely recommend it be read. Grabbed my heart and put tears in my eyes. Thank you.

The book was so slow. Took me forever to finish this book. The pace was so slow. A lot of unnecessary fluff added to it to make it into a full length book. Would have been better off as a short story

3.5 out of 5. This emotional story deals with a lot of issues, including abandonment, addiction, jealousy and ambition. It was nice to see so many determined and ambitious women who encountered and overcame obstacles. The romance, however, dealt a lot with giving too much too soon without building a form foundation. It makes for shaky emotions and uncertain figures. The author illustrates so well the precariousness of getting involved for a fling when what you really want is a commitment and a future. I’m glad they got their HEA, but, truthfully, the hero didn’t win me over with his selfish ambition trumping Ava’s. Yes, he fell in love, but truthfully all he started out wanting was a short-term filler during his time in town. Not exactly a stellar character. But good on him for figuring out what he wanted (Ava, family, time with his nephew, investing in his patients using music) and going after it. The first 3/4 of the book had me wondering if I even thought it was a good idea for them to be together, given that he had so little regard for her, especially given that he knew of her issues over abandonment. All’s well that ends well. It was a nice ending, but an emotional struggle before.

Waiting For You. Amazingly written with heartfelt emotions, this very heartwarming small town romance is a real page turner. This story deals with sensitive issues such as; addiction, abandonment, guilt, but when the right person enters your life, everything changes. Alex and Ava have known each other since childhood but when they reconnect, this time, they really “see” each other. A definite read!
