TRUST me and don’t bother. I read some good reviews and decided to read it. As I was reading, I assured myself that it would get better, just a little more. I read 90 pages to much. All I got out of it was a headache. It went nowhere and introduced several skeleton characters.

This is a keeper!. Every sentence worth reading twice!

Fascinating, complex and absorbing.. Excellent read.

This rambling novel isn’t finished?. Apparently the authors notes are still in the text. Examples: “More about Tommy,” and, “Give 2 example.” These notes are sprinkled into the text about 1/3 of the way through. I was somewhat exasperated with the fact that this novel doesn’t seem to go anywhere or have any clear direction, but the notes made me give up. I would like a refund, but don’t expect that will happen. Steer clear of this one.

A great novel, memoir retold. Great read! The author is especially good in capturing the different voices in the story.

Exceptionally good book. This book is superbly written, with multiple voices. The characters are great and the story is compelling. And, it makes ya think.

Meh. While the writing is good, the story is not. Seems good writing is enough for a race to today, but this has no substance in characterization. Rather, every character seems to be a stereotype we’ve read about before, and each telling their own version of the story is just a gimmick that does nothing to enhance the depth. Hard pass sadly.

Wow. Masterpiece.

Not A Book I Enjoyed.. I read everyday… this book was quite boring. Finally threw in the towel at page 300. Even that was a stretch.

Inventive and fresh. Loved the construction of this novel as much as the characters and stories it contained.
