Pretty good. Though in the beginning I find Charlie’s character a little irritating and mean but through it all in the book he seems not so bad after all. Deep down I really, really, REALLY want Nora and Shepherd to be together yet didn’t even imagine that he and Charlie are family! So this book wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

Amazing. When I say I sobbed like a little baby… I did. So beautifully written, was hooked as soon as I started. My book club chose this as an alternate this month and I couldn’t be happier that they did. Looking forward to reading more from Emily Henry.

So good!. This is my second Emily Henry experience, behind listening to the audiobook of beach read. I actually enjoyed this book a bit more than beach read. I found the backstories a little more far-fetched but in a fun way. I also found Charlie’s character to be really intriguing and appreciated that he wasn’t as grumpy as I anticipated him being when we were introduced to him. All in all I liked the side story with Nora’s sister and overall how the entire plot formed. I would read this again and think it’s a tad bit better than Beach Read if we are comparing.

All the - Goode- feels. Wonderful! Characters I’ve not read before and absolutely love. Worthy read - buy it already!

Finished in 48 hours. One of the best books I’ve read in awhile—@it struck the difficult balance of intellectual without being pretentious and sexy without being cheesy and emotional/deep without feeling too heavy. LOVED

Absolutely stunning. A beautiful story that explores convoluted family dynamics and the importance of not only going through one’s emotions but truly taking the time to feel said emotions. I don’t have any words other then yes to all of it. Well done Emily Henry!

Why 3 Stars?. I don’t know… people seem to live this book so very much. I did enjoy it a lot. It’s well-written, the characters are fun, the love story enthralling, but somehow I found myself skimming certain parts in the last third of the book. I couldn’t feel empathy for the sister drama. Which felt weird… like… why don’t I feel something??? The ending though was lovely to read. And who are we kidding? I can’t wait to watch the movie that comes out of this!

So Good!. Just an overall great read.

Cute light read. Nice change of pace from a female protagonist that’s a damsel in distress. Nora knows what she wants, and she goes after it. I love that she’s a mean city girl instead of the overly kind girl next door. The pacing of the book is nice and the writing a little simple, but it’s a nice book to read if you want to feel fuzzy on the inside.

Book Lovers. I absolutely loved this book, after thinking I wasn’t going to like it I was pleasantly surprised. If I could give it a 4.5 though… I would. Some descriptive parts were boring and frankly confusing at times to understand. Aside from that I love Charlie and Nora they have amazing chemistry… one of my top book couples. Libby and Nora’s dependent relationship was annoying, but sweet at the same time, like any sibling relationship. I’m glad I got into this book and it is such a nice plot and it’s STEAMY!

A Realistic yet story worthy Love Story. Love story’s are always soured for me by the helpless and quite frankly pathetic girl always looking for a man. She’s nothing without him- Ewww. This book was refreshingly wonderful. A strong female lead. Real life issues and an equally wonderful plot. LOVED!!! A love story everyone can enjoy :)

lost for words. This book ….. when I first started the book I didn’t know if I was going to like it. I soon realized that I was going to fall in love with this book. Normally when I read a book I’m exited to be finished so that I can read a new book, this was not the case with this book. I have never been in a book slump or not been able to read but that book can put you in a bad book slump. CHARLIE LASTRA is one of my favorite book guys he is amazing. Nora amazing. Libby…. Every time I read Libby’s name it reminded me of Lilly bloom and in a way Lilly and Libby are similar so I always just imagined her as lily and it kinda hurt. BUT OTHER THAN THAT THIS BOOK IS MY TOP 3.

disappointed. I would say it's not about romance as much about finding self worth and love, home, and grief. So I wish it wasn't marketed as romance book. Nora's personality wasn't the best but not the worst to be honest, I hated Linbby whatever her name spell the moment she made that dating profile 🙄 and then everything at the end just didn't add up. They needed therapy not checklist !!! Also, I was aching for Nora from the get go 😢 everyone misunderstood her or rather misjudged ? even her sister didn't get her but then Charlie came and he could see through her-the real Nora. I know a lot of reviews says his personality is flat but I would take him over other characters. Although him changing his mind out of the blue about staying at the town didn't makes sense to me.

More than just a romance…. This book really snuck up on me. I think I was expecting more of a straight up romance, but it was so much more. The way the different relationships unfold made for a very compelling read. There were moments I laughed out loud, and others where I cried. I rarely do that with books, especially not with books that seem so lighthearted, at least at first glance.

5 mothereffing stars. I have read Emily Henry’s other books and I was not impressed. But this one I was pleasantly surprised by. I just have so much to say but won’t because that’ll take up so much time. So I’ll just say the bare minimum. I was rooting for Nora the whole book. I absolutely love her so much. (Not as much as Charlie, no one can love Nora as much as Charlie. Wait Libby can but that’s besides the point) she was just so misunderstood and for good reason. She was an onion and you really had to peel those layers very slowly to understand her and why she is the way she is. She and Charlie had chemistry that leaped off the page! They were electric. The banter was so delicious. I could not put this book down, genuinely. The relationship between Libby and Nora was so deep and complicated. It evoked such emotion. I cried a bit while reading this.

Perfect book!. I fell into this book from page one and hated to crawl out of it after I read the last sentence. An easy “feel good” read with likable characters. What could be better than a romance story about books and people who love them?!

LOVE. Loved the couple in the story. Their whole dynamic was my favorite part. Very nice read. Everyone deserves to meet their Charlie Lazra.

Book Lovers. I thoroughly enjoyed Emily Henry's ability to describe my sentiments of the ridiculous, unchanging tropes of hallmark movies and my love and excitement for New York City living. I understood the character of Nora very well. Nora's childhood memories and details of city living evoke so many fond memories of my life in New York City. This book was a refreshing change from the romance novels I have read. I savored the witty banter between Charlie and Nora and relished the steamy passion that erupted from it. I am looking forward to reading more of Emily Henry's books.

Love this book! I want to be this book!. This is the kind of book where you say “are there really people out there like this? And if so, how can I become one???”. Love the characters!

Finally I know the other side of the small town trope. Loved this book and it’s take on the typical small town tropes. Nora is exactly who and what she wants to be where she wants to be it and is wonderfully unapologetic about it. Charlie is just my fav.

I sobbed. Okay did I think this book would be more open scenes yes. Did I hate it ? No, the opposite in fact. I was a crying mess on my flight as I read this novel. The first 53 pages were so dynamic and made me fall in love with the characters. The themes in this book pulled at my heart strings. Unfortunately this book was a little too relatable at time. So it spun me back into the time I had to let go of my love for my college partner. Ahh I could literally burst into tears. Also the sister relationship in this book was wonderfully written and so real. Ah I love it! I can’t wait to re read the book already :)!

Absolutely the best. I truly loved this book! All of the characters, storyline, connections, etc it was perfect. I would love to see this as a movie one day.

Her best yet. This book is great. I couldn’t put it down. I think it’s her best yet.

Funny, touching and romantic.. This is a heart touching story with snappy, hilarious dialog, quirky, realistic characters and easy views. The acknowledgment of romantic fiction tropes Henry brings to the story is interesting. The relationship between Nora and Charlie is special in the way the truly appreciate each other- they see each other clearly and love the view. The relationship between Nora and Libby is where the heart comes in - understanding the intenseity of Nora’s anxiety to take care of her sister is truthful and the way Nora grows is beautiful. “Somehow it never occurred to me that this was an option: that two people, in the same hug, could both be allowed to fall apart. That maybe it’s neither of our jobs to keep a steel spine. “

absolute perfection. i absolutely did NOT expect to sob over this book but here i am. wow. a JOURNEY of a book, and it was absolute perfection.
