Read this book. Really heartwarming and easy to read. I could not put this book down. The characters were so good, and it reminded me a friends and family of my own.

Boring. I’m bored. What is the point of this book ? is it supposed to be a romance? Is anything interesting going to happen?

TW/ so many drugs in this book. This is a drug book masquerading as a rom com. How can you root for the main characters when they are constantly doing drugs? Very unrealistic for a med student. Someone should check on the author and see if she needs an intervention or more inspiration. I know she lives in Ohio and it is boring, but it isn’t that bad.

Loved it!!!. Almost 2 days of my life gone. I could not stop reading and when I did manage to, I was thinking about how quickly I could get back to it.

A perfect summer read. This is the third book I have read by Emily Henry, and the best one yet. Without sharing too much - yes, it’s a love story like all of her books, but I appreciate how the love story here expands to themes of self love, friendship and the complexity of family. The things that go unspoken - assumptions, expectations and internalizations. I flew through this book, which I only regret because it’s not even summer, so now I’m not sure what I’m going to read on the beach! If you like easy reads that hook you, and maybe give you a bit of the feels, Happy Place is a great selection.

Great until the end. Trying to write without spoilers but I love the friendship between every character! It feels so magical BUT the ending leaves me cut off. I wish there was more build up to the actual ‘goodbye’. And then the two main characters aftermath seemed quickly written.

Slow and boring. I really couldn’t get into this. I wasn’t hooked from the beginning and I had to push myself through it. The story line was just so/so and definitely not a surprise.

Disappointing. Like a hallmark movie, the woman gives up everything for a man who is suddenly and incongruously rich.

Really?. Sadly a pathetic story of obsession but aren’t all romcoms? Thankfully the main character dropped out of her residency. She would have made an awful surgeon!

MUST READ. This book filled me with so much joy. Wyn and Harriett were a match made in heaven. The story of friendship brought tears to my eyes. Would recommend and read again!

Live, love and be happy!. I loved these characters—especially Wyn and Harriet and rooted for them to wake up and keep loving each other! This group of friends was a blast to hang with and reminded me of summers in my happy place with my besties! A great summer read!

beautiful. was a slow beginning, took a while to hook into me, but when it did, i finished 80% of the book in a few hours!!!!

Couldn’t put it down. Loved all of the characters. Loved the story of their friendship! And I couldn’t stop reading the story of Wyn and Harriet….couldn’t wait to find out how their story ended. Now, I’m sad it’s over! Easily my favorite read of the summer!

Disappointing. Compared to her other books this one was boring. Ok but hardly laugh out loud.

Too predictable. It took everything in me to finish this book. It was too predictable and way too sappy. It’s like the Friends show but all of the characters were so out of touch with reality. They all need some serious help and everything was wrapped up in a tidy little bow, too much so that it’s not believable.

Overhyped. It was a good book don't get me wrong, but it was lacking a captivating plot. Personally, I found that it was a little too slow. There is no doubt that Emily Henry is a great writer and I would love to read her other books. I recommend this book to a reader who loves romantic stories

Repetitive. The author just kept repeating herself. Over and over and over.

All the feels. She has a way of writing that makes you experience all the sorrow, love and joy in your tummy. Real feels in this one.

Silly Premise. Book is based on a couple so arrogant that they can’t tell people they broke up? What makes them so special to go to those lengths to keep up a meaningless ruse. Why would anyone care?

Great book, but too long. I really liked this author and I enjoyed this book a lot. However, I felt like there was so much focus and time dedicated to the main relationship (especially in the flashbacks) so I wasn’t as invested in the friendships which was the most compelling part for me. If she cut that out and made it 15% shorter it would have been better.

Never cried so much to such a happy book!. I’ve never had a book touch me in the way this did. The way the author writes, the emotion, the relationships, it’s all so beautiful. 100% recommend. Will always come back to this one.

Great Read! Even for the Guys!. As I man I usually don’t read this type of book. It is well written and kept me completely engaged. I would highly recommend Happy Place.

Had me crying near the end!!!. If you’ve ever been in a long term, long distance, or inconveniently timed relationships, be warned! I picked this up because of how much people seemed to love it. To be honest I find Emily Henry books to be hit or miss so I didn’t know what to expect going in. I just found the characters so relatable, the friendship they have, their relationships with their families, and their struggle figuring out how and when to hold onto the past in order for the future to grow. I would definitely say if you are in your late 20’s/early 30’s it probably will hit home a bit more due to the transirons they are navigating in this one. Emily did good on this one! One star off for the lack of smuttiness. My only note would be that while the sexually tension/chemistry between Wyn and Harriett was very apparent, I feel like there definitely could have been more smut in this one. Even the few scenes she painted were VERY MILD. It was like there was a lot of build up and no reward. If I could combine the smut from Forever Never by Lucy Score and this book it would be perfect!!

Summer read. It’s a book that can be put down and picked up . Enjoy the nice days by the pool and read, or go to lunch,and read at nite. It tells you about all the characters in the book you are able to relate to one of them or all of them , also very easy to picture the places I your mind. A good book that lets your mind escape

Eh. While I enjoyed the book, I really love her “Book Lovers” book better. Maybe it was all the flashbacks that threw me off, I’m not for sure. It was just okay in my opinion.

Beautiful. A truly beautiful and touching book. Every part of it felt like a delicious meal for the soul. The characters are imperfect, the challenges are realistic and the tone all around is about growth, about finding your safety. 5/5

Couldn’t put this down. Guilty pleasure read. Loved the story! The characters did feel a little too similar to People We Meet on Vacation. But besides that I loved the plot. Didn’t intend on liking it as much as I did
