お伽草子は、日本の昔話を挿絵入りの短編物語として集めたもので日本の平安時代に始まる庶民の文化遺産です、お伽草子は400編が存在すると言われています。御伽草子の多くは挿絵入りの写本として創られ、絵を楽しむ要素も強かったのですが、文章は比較的易しいし、筋は多くの説話がそうであるように素朴で多義的であり、複雑な構成や詳細な描写には乏しい単純なものが多い。物語が庶民に楽しめるものになっていったと同時に、後に生まれる仮名草子や浮世草子に比べて御伽草子の話の数々は作者が未詳である。そのうちの幾つかをを太宰治が短編小説として書き改めたものです。この本には、「瘤とり爺さん」「浦島さん」「カチカチ山」「舌切り雀」の4編を収めています。この短編小説を国際語エスペラントに翻訳し、日本語の原文と対訳形式で編集してデジタル化し世界の読者にお届けしようと企画されたものです。 Otogizoshi estas la kultura heredaĵo de popolamaso japana, kiu komenciĝis en la Heian-periodo en Japanio. Oni diras, ke otogizoshi restas 400 fabeloj nuntempe. Multaj el la Otogizoshi estis kreitaj kiel fabeloj kun ilustraĵoj kaj enhavis multe la elementon por ĝui pentraĵojn, sed la frazoj estis relative facilaj, kaj la historioj estis simplaj kaj plursignifa kiel en multaj rakontoj.
