お伽草子は、日本の昔話を挿絵入りの短編物語として集めたもので日本の平安時代に始まる庶民の文化遺産です、お伽草子は400編が存在すると言われています。御伽草子の多くは挿絵入りの写本として創られ、絵を楽しむ要素も強かったのですが、文章は比較的易しいし、筋は多くの説話がそうであるように素朴で多義的であり、複雑な構成や詳細な描写には乏しい単純なものが多い。物語が庶民に楽しめるものになっていったと同時に、後に生まれる仮名草子や浮世草子に比べて御伽草子の話の数々は作者が未詳である。そのうちの幾つかをを太宰治が短編小説として書き改めたものです。この本には、「瘤とり爺さん」「浦島さん」「カチカチ山」「舌切り雀」の4編を収めています。 Otogizoshi estas la kultura heredaĵo de popolamaso japana, kiu komenciĝis en la Heian-periodo en Japanio.
