Delicious. Great book start to finish

Good book. Evie and Anthony finally get their story and it is full of suspense and steam and all you can want in their long awaited story. I love how Evie stays strong and sure of herself despite all she has been through and the banter between her and Anthony.

Bratiness to the fullest. If you like historical romance with spice, this book is for you. Historical romance is not what I typically read but I found myself enjoying this book. The banter between Anthony and Evie was entertaining and funny. I loved her bratiness! The tension both with the plot in general and the sexual tensionwas written so well, it kept me looking forward to the next chapter.

Epic in its own right!. There really couldn’t have been a more perfect ending to this series! Golden Angel delivered a stunningly suspenseful ride with these four couples and the conclusion of Evie and Anthony’s story is truly perfect. I loved Evie’s inner strength in how she’s risen above her childhood trauma. Anthony’s care and handling of her is definitely swoon worthy and of course, Angel delivered on the spice we all love and have come to expect in her books! 10/10 recommend!!

Evie…Evie…Evie. In a time of women being oppressed we have Evie…… Evie is a amazing and beautiful and feisty and did I say amazing Anthony is a wonderful counter to Evie. He is an alpha male who only wants Evie safe …… but she makes him work for it. Hands down the best of the bunch of this series. Could not put it down! Make sure you have time to read uninterrupted you are going to love every sassy, kinky, stubborn, exhilarating bit of the ride!

Read as a standalone :). I jumped right into this book, having not read the previous books in the series. I have read the domestic discipline quartet and I loved that there were some cameos from some of those characters too! Since I didn’t read the other books, that combined with the large cast of characters had me a little confused as to the whose who during parts of the book, but even that didn’t heavily detract from the story. If you’re familiar with historical costuming at all, there’s a phrase that’s pretty common in those circles that goes something like “historical dress, not historical values” and I think Golden Angel as an author embodies that concept in historical fiction. Her characters are both realistically living in past times, and also likeable when viewing them as a 30-something in modern times. If you’re into historical fiction with a kinky twist, definitely pick up as many of her books as you can. As I figured out by reading this book as a standalone, you can easily pick them up out of order too, as each book focuses on a different couples story and the characters from other books become side characters.

Will their hearts fall victim to love?. A Season for Spies is the fifth book in the Deception and Discipline series. The romance could be read as a stand alone, or after the prequel novella, but the storyline arcs across the whole series. Evie and Anthony have a history that no one else knows about, but as they’re forced to work closely together to capture the traitor, will their hearts fall victim to love? Oh. My. Goodness!! I have been dying to get my hands on this book ever since I read the first book in this series, and it absolutely did not disappoint!! I absolutely adored this book, the connection between Evie and Anthony, and honestly, I loved Evie and her unlikely band of fantastic lady spies. Evie was everything I could have hoped for, as we finally got to know her a little better. We see that all she really wanted was to be seen by her family. She’s not a traditional lady and hates that she must be one to fit their needs, but she wants her ideas to be validated and appreciated. She’s so strong, but has a vulnerable side that made me want to just give her a hug. She’s so independent, but I loved that she was able to let go enough with Anthony to offer her submission. Anthony was perfect for her because he saw her right from the very beginning, or well, mostly, haha. He knew the importance of her contributions, he knew that she could handle the darker sides of life, and he let her participate, even when he didn’t want to. He was strong enough to handle her strength and independence, but made sure to keep her safe and loved. I seriously loved them together, loved their passion and connection and how well they truly worked together. There’s drama, there are finally some answers, and I did not want to put this book down once I started. So, so good! I have loved this series from the beginning (seriously might be a new favorite), and adored this addition! I want more!

*Standing Ovation* for a final in the series... If you’ve never read a Golden Angel historical book before, be prepared for outstanding historical romance writing, with a perfect balance of well rounded story telling and a whole lot of kinky fun! Nobody does that balance as well as Golden Angel. In this book you will find historical romance, spy intrigue and kink. Season for Spies is a fantastic final story in a series that was inspired by this book's heroine. I absolutely love how Golden Angel wrote this series, introducing us to Evie in book 1, and making her an integral theme throughout all the books of the series. It was an epic adventure that really built up for her love story with Anthony! While this book certainly can be read as a stand alone, it is so much more enriching to have read the prior books of this series (including the prequel novella, Spy Season, of her first meeting with Anthony) and was a huge treat to meet up with characters from other Golden Angel series. This book was filled with delightful Easter eggs! I was heartbroken for the story to come to an end, but as Golden Angel often does, she leaves us with a teaser of more to come in the next spin-off series. I cannot wait!!!

Intrigue, romance,and spanking make this an adventure you’ll enjoy!. I absolutely love Evie and Anthony! The intrigue and steamy scenes were quite interesting, and Evie with her accents and different characters and outfits was entertaining. All the side characters were perfect, especially Uncle Oliver. Anthony trying to discipline Evie with spanking really backfired and was entertaining also. If you like historical romance with spies,intrigue, and spanking, I believe you will enjoy this book. Sexy intrigue. Great ending to the series! Spies, spanking, love, and intrigue! Great book all around. This is a series I will read many times.

Best in the series so far. I loved Evie and Anthony. Evie is the mysterious niece of England’s spymaster and Anthony one of his Agents. Their meetings have been explosive in the past (read the free prequel for all the smexy good times), but when he discovers who she is, suddenly she’s off limits, or is she? Evie grew up on the streets, but is determined not to do anything to embarrass her family. Nevertheless, she wants to help her Uncle find the traitor in their ranks and if that means going out on her own to do it, she will. Anthony soon discovers although she’s a lady, she’s also a woman who appreciates someone who can see she’s just as smart, or smarter, than most of the men around her and is a skilled spy in her own right. He realizes that the more he allows Evie to do her own thing the more attractive he is to her. These two just can’t admit their love and need their friends and family to knock some sense into them. I absolutely loved seeing characters from the authors other books in this series as well as some of her previous series’. And some of the glimpses we got into other family members, well, let me just say I’m super happy the author is going to be doing a few novellas for us to tie up all those loose ends. Amazing characters, HAWT good times, and an action packed mystery make this a satisfying conclusion to the main series.

Spies ,secrets and spankings. Did not disappoint! I have been eagerly awaiting reading Evie’s story and I absolutely loved it. She is such a spitfire! Evie’s got tricks up her sleeves for days. Captain Browne definitely has his hands full with this one. These two couldn’t stay away from each other if they had to.

Thrilling, mysterious, and romantic. This I my first story by Golden Angel and I’m hooked. I cannot wait to go back and start the beginning of this series. I felt like I was in the world created with these characters. I WANTED to be in this world with them. This is the fictional historical world of London and a group of friends who are spies for the Crown. While trying to solve the mysterious secrets that unfold, Evie and Anthony also solve the matter of their hearts. Evie was a brilliant character. Her backstory that unfolded as the novel went on added into this strong, fierce, and loyal woman. Anthony brought out the best in Evie. He made her stronger while also giving her soft side what it needed. Their push and pull only made the story more thrilling. All of the side characters played exceptional roles to move the plot of the story along. I never once felt like there was a dull moment. Golden made each sentence count towards unraveling love and traitors. The plot flowed marvelously and I didn’t have any loose ends I wish closed. If anything I’m left wanting more. The steam and spice will burn up your pages. Brava to this author on hooking in a new reader. I cannot say enough about this story, world created, and characters.

Love it!!. This is the first of the series I’ve read, but will definitely go back and read the others. One thing I can always count on,with Golden Angel, is the spice is always right. I like the characters, the storyline and it’s my favorite time period. Overall, it’s a great book and will always read anything this author writes. If you like historicals with spice, this book is for you.

A Fun and Delightful Romp. This book was such fun from beginning to end. Having read the novella first, I was already hooked and wanted to see where things went with these characters. Golden Angel didn’t disappoint. Evie is such a wonderful character, multi-faceted, well rounded, and believable in her stubbornness and resistance to the love she feels. Anthony is a dream of a man. The chemistry between them and the natural push and pull really works. Loved the whole journey and all the side characters. Lots of laughs, some tensions, and oh la la excellent spicy scenes. Highly recommend. Golden Angel is quickly becoming s favorite author of mine, and I can’t wait to read the rest of her books! Oh, and yes, this is one of the last or latest books in a series, but it doesn’t detract from it to read it out of order. There is familiarity in the way the other characters are referred to and their history in the couples, but it doesn’t overly spoil anything or leave you confused to not have read the other books in the series yet. Honestly, I have always sort of preferred that in my romance series. Inevitably I seem to find them out of order, so it works nicely for me that way. 10/10 would recommend! Will definitely be reading the rest of the series too.

Love this book.. I loved reading this book. The interaction between the main characters were great. The author makes you feel like a fly on the wall in some scenes and I loved that.

The best of the series to date. While this book could be read as a stand-alone book, it is a great way to wrap up the storyline! Evie is one of the most entertaining characters, and she doesn’t fail to bring a little naughtiness with her wherever she goes! If you’re hoping for a kinky historical romance without an overwhelming amount of tropes, this book is a must!

Enthralling, enchanting and engaging.. This book was amazing. I loved the characters, the world building, the setting and descriptions. It’s easy to get lost in this book and pulled into this world of intrigue and excitement. The only bad thing was having to stop reading to go to work. I can’t wait for the next book by this author.

Wonderful Historical Romance with Spanking. Yeah this is the last part of a Series of Historical Romance with Spanking that Centers on Spies. I am a huge fan of Golden Angel and I have read almost every thing she has published that is available in ebook format. I read this book because I have an Advanced Reader Copy, and I want to share with others about it. If you like your Historical Romance smutty then this is something you would be interested in especially if you like spanking and other such activities. I really loved the smutty scenes in this book and I thought that Golden had the best butt stuff scene I have read lately. I don’t like spoilers, so there won’t be any in my review, but this is part of a series and for best enjoyment you are advised to start with a Season For Treason (Deception and Discipline book 1) and read the next 2 books before reading this one. There is a wonderful group of characters that I am sure you will love because I love them, there is a lot of smutty content that you are sure to enjoy if you like smutt with your Romance. Also there is a great mystery element as to who the spy is that is finally resolved in this book. Also there is a very nice HEA to this book as well as to the others in this fine series.

Loved it!!!. As it is the final instalment of a series, this book contains a lot of drama alongside the spicy romance. If you are only just starting out with spicy romances this series is a good place to start. The heroine is head fast and very much ahead of her time which is uncommon in historical romance. The only reason it is a 4 star rating is that in comparison to other books by Golden Angel this one is not up there with my personal favourites. I still think the book is objectively great and definitely recommend.

The perfect ending. How do I begin the ending ??? I read this in a day, I couldn’t put it down and I wasn’t disappointed.. every book in this series has been amazing but Anthony and Evie’s story was on another level .. if this was a tv show I’d be demanding a season 2,3 and 4 Best way to describe these books is a saucy pride and prejudice mixed bit with a bit James Bond amazing characters strong men and even stronger women I can’t recommend this book enough

I loved the book. This is a fitting end, hopefully with frequent drop ins, to the series. Evie is still the best character, her spirited and feisty nature keeps shining through. I loved her from book 1 where she kept more to the shadows but the mystery and drama surrounding her made her even more intriguing as a character. She’s talented and oh so overlooked, which is destined to teach the men in her life a lesson. There’s more to Anthony than meets the eye to. He’s got hidden depths that lurk under his previous glowering appearances. As always in this series, the scenes where all of the characters are together and bouncing off each other are amusing and add something special to the books. In this book we also get some glimpses into the world of some of the side characters, who cameo in other books and some of these moments are more surprising than others. I really hope we get to see a little more of the Society of Sin. The outcome of the plot has it all, unexpected twists and turns, some additional surprises thrown in and a layer of adventure. It is a satisfying conclusion to the storyline. There are elements that could be revisited without having to come back to the main storyline, which is exciting as a reader. Overall I love how the series has worked together, without repetition, occasionally we see parts of the same event from different view points but that just adds additional layers of understanding and character developments. I’m sure I will be revisiting this series when I need a bit of intrigue in my life.
