The Librarian of Crooked Lane. I’ll probably be following C.J. Archer’s works for the rest of my life! From the moment I first came across the books, I’ve craved more and more. Can’t wait til the next one….I’ll probably just reread all of them until then! They’re so good!!

Great start to series. The Librarian of Crooked Lane is a great follow on series to Glass and Steel. Nice to know what has happened to characters from the Glass and Steel series but also sad to read that a couple of those characters have died. The mystery is well thought out. The chemistry is hot between Gabe and Sylvia. Daisy is a captivating new character. Anxious for the next book in the series.

Recommended read. I loved this story and can’t wait to hear more about Gabe Glass and the Librarian of Crooked Lane. Lovely to catch up with some beloved characters as well as some new ones.

Gets even better on the second reading. I re-read this book after I devoured the entire Glass & Steele series, the way that Professor Nash devours magical doughnuts. I’d read that series after discovering this new series of books. I couldn’t wait for the next in this series and wanted more. The Librarian of Crooked Lane is like a delicious meal that you just can’t stop eating…going back for just one more little bit, until you realise you’ve eaten/ read the whole thing. And now having read the background series, it’s even more satisfying to know the foundation this book is built upon and reacquaint with some of the beloved characters from the original. Highly recommended but if you need to get things done, I hope you have more self-discipline than me because it’s hard to put it down.
