A Mango Shaped Space. This book is perfect for anyone who loves a touching story. It made me laugh and cry and imagine a whole new world of what it would be like to have synesthesia. It perfectly describes the feeling of mourning a pet, or being misunderstood, and even if you feel no connection to the characters, you can relate to how they feel. This was one of my best reads!

A Mango-Shaped Space. Wow, where do I start. This book is AMAZING and may be one of my all-time favorites which is REALLY saying something because I am a book nerd and I LOVE all sorts of books! I’ve read this book about 27,000 times. The beginning is good, but after everything (I don’t want to spoil) starts happening, the plot quickens and stops slightly dragging like the beginning’s plot did. This book made me laugh, squirm and cry. Mia is quite relatable and, despite having synesthesia, can be understood and empathized with even people who don’t have synesthesia! The ending could have been a total blow out but Wendy Mass used her writing superpowers to wrap up the story well and tie it up neatly, making you feel like Mia and all of her friends/family (family, of course, includes cats) lived happily ever after. She has such a good flow in her writing style. I really recommend this book for 7+ ages (the slightly older age is because the problems might be too much for younger kids), and also to anyone who enjoys reading one of the most beautifully written BEST BOOKS EVER! [Please make a sequel when she’s out of college. Maybe she could study synesthesia and have 2 cats (or so). The timing of the sequel doesn’t really matter. That is just an idea. PLEASE make a sequel!] Despite seeing how hard it can be to have synesthesia, I’m low-key jealous of anyone who has it... Another thing that I like is the realistic family and friend life! The parents aren’t overly supportive, but they aren’t under-ly supportive either! If you like this book I would really suggest The Mysterious Benedict Society series. It is just as well written, with an AMAZING plot! I’ve noticed that some books that have awesome plots are not very well written, so they’re worth reading, but it’s a less enjoyable experience.

Great Book. Not going to lie, I am a very picky reader. I got this as a summer reading assignment and is easily one of the best books I've read. It is easy to understand and relate to, which adds a lot of character and emotion to the book. For somebody who only reads when they have to, and usually don't enjoy it, I will give this one-of-a-kind book a positive review.

So Touching and Amazing!. This book is my favorite book of all time! It's so touching! I have to admit, I cried a little at the end. It's truly an amazing book, and taught me a brilliant life lesson which is being different rocks and to be yourself! If you like this book I recommend any of the other Wendy Mass books. She is amazing. :-D I would also recommend this book to 10+ ages.

MUST READ.. Honestly best book I've read. By far my favorite I don't really like reading actually honestly I hate reading but this book got me so hooked!!! One of my Favorites. I absolutely loved this book. I'm the kind of person who is really picky about what she reads and doesn't like many books, but this one is special. My friend and I both have a mild form of synesthesia and she told me about this book. It is the first ever book to actually make me cry. It's a great read for anyone, honestly. I'm glad the author wrote this book because it brings light to the subject of synesthesia. Amazing and powerful.

Great book but a few misconceptions.. A Mango shaped space is an amazing book, it’s funny, interesting, and sad, all at the same time. But, not everything about synesthesia in it is accurate. I am a synesthete, and my numbers and letters have colors and personalities. So I know, and I’m being totally honest here, Mia’s difficulties with math are totally unrealistic. My syn actually makes math easier for me, the personalities making up a kinda story in my head. Like, 7x6 means 7 tried to get 6 to cheat on 8. (AGAIN!) The colors just make the equation a bit prettier. Also, my colors have never been a problem when learning new languages cause I can tune it out, but maybe mine isn’t as strong as hers. BTW, Wendy Mass, your first name is light blue and sorta bubbly, like water, and your last name is also blue but deep and velvety.

I discovered I have synesthesia!!. This book lead me to discovering that my colorful alphabet and weird calendars in my head were not normal! I probably wouldn't have ever known about it if hadn't read this AMAZING book. 10/10 would read again.

There is a Mango-Shaped Space in my Heart for this Book. I love this book so much! Every time I read the ending (which must have been 20 times), I want to cry again... wonderfully written. Wendy Mass is an amazing author. Read this book!

Book review from an 11 year old BOY’S perspective. This is an awesome book for people of all ages, but especially for kids from the age of 10 to 13. This book has a few sad parts and there are a few parts for girls ONLY. A friend advised me this book, so I read it, but I skipped through some parts because they where not for boys. This book is about a girl who sees colors. The chapters are from 15 pages or longer, especially the last chapter. I recommend this book for girls who like cats or have synesthesia.

Realistic. I myself have Synesthesia, and I can relate A LOT to this book. I've been trying to find a book like this for a while and I'm so glad I found it, it is very realistic to what happens to me, especially the loud noises.

Mango lemon. It’s really good! Please make a second one called “a lemon sized kitten” about the kitten and they name it Lemon and Mia’s fourteen and it’s during the summer and the family is spending the summer in Monaco with Lemon I need more!

AMAZING. I love to read Wendy Mass because of how talented she is but this book was just amazing. It gave you feelings that I had never felt and I am sure most people could relate to this book in some way. It made me wish I had the disease! Well only in some parts. Wendy Mass has done it again!

Incredible!. This wonderful story by Wendy Mass is about an 8th grade girl that is diagnosed with Synesthesia. This is one of the best books I have read! One reason is the interesting plot and how all of the characters are unique in there own special way.
