Fire by Kristin Cashore Book Summary

A breathtaking, marvelous Graceling Realm book from New York Times bestselling author Kristin Cashore.

It is not a peaceful time in the Dells. In King City, the young King Nash is clinging to the throne, while rebel lords in the north and south build armies to unseat him. War is coming. And the mountains and forest are filled with spies and thieves. This is where Fire lives, a girl whose beauty is impossibly irresistible and who can control the minds of everyone around her. Exquisitely romantic, this companion to the highly praised Graceling has an entirely new cast of characters, save for one person who plays a pivotal role in both books. You don't need to have read Graceling to love Fire. But if you haven't, you'll be dying to read it next. This edition includes an article by and an interview with the author.

Look for Kristin Cashore's highly-anticipated return to the Graceling Realm, Winterkeep!

“There are some books that stick with you for years, and Kristen Cashore’s Fire is one of them. Thoughtful, steamy and completely original, Fire is YA fantasy at its absolute best.”—Sabaa Tahir, author of New York Times bestselling Ember in the Ashes on Fire

Best series ever. It's so different from anything I've ever read. It's imaginative and she is amazing at making you feel emotions for and with her characters you will fall in love with Katsa, Fire, Bitterblue and Po! Along with the rest of her amazing cast of characters!

Fire. Kristen Cashore’s novel Fire is a most excellent fantasy story. This book is the prequel for her first fantasy novel, Graceling. These books are hard to put down once the characters have caught hold of your imagination. The alternate universe the characters inhabit seems real and the plot moves quickly. Definitely a recommended read.

One of my favorite books. This book is amazing and it was so good that I read a 400 page book in a night.

fire. this book is great!

Awful. Utterly boring and the heroine wasn’t particularly like able. I could barely finish it.

Brilliant. Brilliant book! Each detail matters. I have never read a murder mystery before, but this book leaves my puzzled and hungry for more.

Just started reading is katsa and Po even in this book. Just started reading is katsa and Po even in this book

Not too bad. The first part of the book was not that great but as the story progressed, the better it became. I especially loved the family tree that kept changing very five minutes and gave me a headache lol. I definitely recommend this book to everyone

MUST READ!!. Fire is the companion to graceling but takes you in a different route and way to fix the illusion. READ THIS And after read graceling if you still haven't. Powerful and passionate just like the title says itself truly an amazing display of light that flickers to dance with physical

amazing book. I couldn't put this book down it was so good, and it was my third time reading it. I recommend it to anyone who loves Adventure and characters who are stubborn to lobe someone who they thought wouldn't love. have fun reading this book because I surely did.

Fire. In essence both Fire and Graceling are fantastic novels. If you've read Fire I advise you to read Graceling. Vis versa for those who have read Graceling.

Great Book!. I read Graceling and I really liked it. This book was an amazing prequel. I look forward to reading her next sequel Bitterblue!

Mesmerizing!. Fire is mesmerizing and beautiful, just like its heroine. The beautiful kingdom, the monsters, and Fire's unique abilities kept me captivated the whole time! A true treat for fantasy lovers.

best book. this is one of my favorite book

Awesome Book!. Okay Kristin Cashore is one of the best authors Ever! She keeps u really into the story and omg this was another great book! U don't have to have read Graceling to understand this book, Fire, but it would probably be a little helpful. If u read Fire first u'll b dying to read Graceling next;)

Asome. Lol I no I spelled it wrong.... I've almost read through graceling and it's really good book, part where katsa leaves po when there running away from monsea, I've been told that this is not an ad on of that so I'll get it... P.s. I only read during school, cus it's so dang boring

Love to read it. This is a great book with both romance and battle. If you can get graveling written first I would recommend it.

WOOHOO!!!!!. I LOVE KRISTIN CASHORE!!!!! thank you for writing the best books EVER! this book was awesome! i like Graceling better though, but that doesnt mean I dont completely and totally adore this one!!!!!!! aww i read the hard copy and it didn't have the bitterblue sneak peek! poo! Cant wait for bitterblue!!! the suspense is agonizing!! Kristin why do you hate me?!

Good. Love this book if you like this get graceling

Best book ever!. Fire is a great action packed, romantic novel. All the characters greatly written with realistic feelings and actions. Plotted back in the Medieval Era,it gives the reader a nice old fashion taste. Any reader who reads this book will love it. Though make sure you read Graceling first to understand Fire better. ;*) hope u read it!

Not a Romance Novel Fantsay Driven. This book has very little romance. I brought it thinking it was a romance novel. Even though that disappointed me the book was good enough to overcome that drawback. My first foray into fantasy was Quinn Taylor Evens Merlin Legacy books. After getting hooked into fantasy world I searched for more. I came across this book and loved the ideal of it. Fire and the world she inhabits is pretty amazing. Human and animal monster that are so beautiful it inspire instant hate or love. The author gives you a good feel of that world. I can imagine it. It leaves me dazzled and wanting more. It was sad that Fire is the last of her kind and choose not to have kids. That monsters our too powerful and should not be in her mind. I love Leck response to that. It can't be unnatural otherwise they wouldn't exist. Over time Fire grows and come to accept who she is to a point. This book could have done more with the world. I would like to see a human give themselves over to a monster, be in the mist of battle with Brigan and actually see some of the experiments of the medicine in action instead of only being told how wonderful it is. Take me there. I don't just want to Hear about it but Experience as a reader. I like this book and will read her others. It leaves me wanting more and that is what matters. To many casual relationships in the book. I'm all about women empowerment and independence but it doesn't have to be all or nothing. My biggest problem is that all romance happen off scene. The only relationship that builds is Fire and Brigan. Even that is minimal. The only character I felt like I really knew was Fire. If the book had some of the other characters point of view than it would've been better. I could accept the lack of romance if it wasn't listed and geared toward romance fans.

Fireeeee. This book is AWESOME! I love the characters even more than the ones in Graceling. The only thing is, I would have liked to read more about when Brigan and Nash were at the Queen's Fortress with Fire, Archer, and Roen. Keep writing Kristen Cashore!

Fire. This book was awesome!! I loved the connection that fire and brigan made throughout all the conflict and distractions of there eventful lives. I've ready the first one which was also just as epic, exciting, and absorbing. Now I have 1 more book and sadly will have no more to read in the series. Please write more Kristin Cashore!!!!!!!!!

Go fish. You totally get hooked on this book the moment you learn about the characters, especially Fire. If your looking for a suspenseful, romantic, action book here it is. There is mysteries so tangled you'll want to read the book over again because you cant believe you didn't see the end coming. Also romance that will make you want to read very slowly so you don't miss a minuet of it. Talk about action through the book there is a major war. Please read Fire!

Loved it!!. This book read like "wild fire". Great story and characters. The only downfall is it ended too soon.

Luv it. Nuf said
