Wolf and the Dove. I read this book 30 years ago and loved it. I wondered if it held up, it did! It is very romantically written. I still love the attention to detail in the story. It did and still does, give me unreachable and unreal ideas of love. I know better but...oh so romantic.

Great story. This is one of my favorites. It was captivating right up to the end!!!!

The Wolf and The Dove. This book is a lover’s classic . I have read this book over and over throughout the years because the true love that developed between two unwilling people whose destiny was set when they first made eye contact. I wish someone would make a movie about this book

Whew, so lengthy!. This one was sooo long, over 1,000 pages. I commend the author for coming up with such a long and interesting story. Very descriptive and detailed.

Liked it better when I was 15. Ok, I’m not turning to romance novels for great literature but I wish this wasn’t wrapped up quite so neatly. Without going into spoilers, was there really a need for the mother to reveal she knew who the father of the child was all along? But I did enjoy the book. However, I found my self wanting loner love scenes. The heroine didn’t even get to climax until much later in the story.

Good book. Aislinn was abused the entire story. I do not understand he mistreated me so that is proof he loves me. I truly would have throat punched Gwydeln. On and on the is rude, abusive and nasty in someone else home. The story moved smoothly but it was very long.

Superb. This is such a classic! I haven't read this book in years, but it's every bit as good as I remember it. Won't find many romances that us guys will read, let alone thoroughly enjoy. Highly recommended.

Classic. This book is a classic that other present day authors should aspire to achieve. I particularly like how the male lead was stoic for a long period instead of present day characters who go all gooey from almost the first chapter.

The Wolf and the Dove. I read this book as a young 20 year old, newly married woman. Now, these 38 years later, 2 children and so far 3 grandchildren later, it is still my favorite book.

Had me sobbing! 👏👏👏. This book was super deep compared to the other romance novels I read and some parts dragged on, but the characters went through SO much and the ending was just perfect. Even the parts that dragged on helped in some way to make the whole story outstanding. It was probably the best ending I have ever read, the best after SO much went on in the book. Loved it!

Too long and drawn out. I thought the book was “okay”. I found myself tiring of the storyline 2/3 the way through and rushing to get it over with.

Good Story. I read this book years ago in paperback. Just finished reading it again on iBook. Although I don't care for the time period this is still a good book and Kathleen Woodiwiss doesn't disappoint. Wulfgar and Aislinn are very good with each other and you will feel their great love for one another.

My First & still #1 FAVORITE. I still have the original book that my mom handed down to me when I was very ill & I've LUVED it ever since! This is till this day the best of the best. mystery drama great tension between lovers & simple to the point which I sorrily miss in authors today! (God save us from tdays authors of 5 pages descriptions of places & blah blah blah lol).........Ms.Woodiwiss is still #1!!!

Old favorite buts needs editing. Love this book, enjoyed reading it again. Great character development and seems to be true to the period. Very disappointed in the number of typos. Don't know if this was how the original was published or if it's an e-version issue. Very distracting and cheapens the production. If I didn't know better, I would think this was a knock off and not an authorized copy. Similar issue with Shanna, but worse as the typos include numerous sentences without periods in that book. Deducted a star for the typos.

Great read!!!. This is definitely a great book. It's as if you are living the story as you read it.

Rape does not equal romance. Woman is raped by conquers, senior lord arrives and claims her. Although burgeoning attraction he rapes her and she’s still attracted to him. Sickening BS

Wolf and the Dove. I read this book many years ago and loved it. I have just finished reading it again for what must be the 10th time and enjoyed it once again. I love the story, the characters, the era and the detail in the telling. It is a rollicking tale full of love, hate, betrayal, anger, jealousy and most of all it is easy to read.
