Best in the series. I’ve read every book in the series and this is one of the best. Great mysteries and characters. Love the wee Scottish phrases, atmosphere and police procedural. Has everything.

Blind Eye. This novel is an excellent example of the "Tartan Noir" genre. In fact, it's one of the best police procedurals I've ever read. Detective Inspector Steel is an entertaining and memorable character.

Blind Eye. Great story, but not for the sensitive! There relationship thread between Logan and Steel gets better and better and the language is gritty, realistic and humorous in equal parts. Logan sometimes comes across as a hapless victim, put upon by his superiors and that can be aggravating, but ulitmately he seems to come through for himself and the team! Definitely up there with the best of them. Maybe DS Logan will make DI soon…

Grim and funny. This is the 4th book I have read by this author. He keeps me coming back because his books are loaded with bizarre characters. Vicious criminals, police fighting the good fight in their own inimitable way, broken up with comic instances that relieve the harsh reality of the story. A very clever writer...read and enjoy.
