Awe inspiring. As I read the book I felt more and more as though the author wrote it about me. I was lucky enough to discover 6 months into my marriage that I was being very controlling with my husband. He had retreated. I no longer received affection, and intimacy was a thing of the past. I spent two months blaming my husband for his lack of interest. I prayed after a long night of arguing and the next morning as if it were shown to me in a dream I saw my error. I had emasculated my husband to the point he no longer felt amorous feelings toward me. I frantically searched the Internet for self help books and found this one. I began reading and following the instruction and within a week my husband was opening doors for me, we made love again, he told me I was beautiful and he didn't miss an opportunity to tell me he loved me. I am simply amazed and thankful.

Best relationship book of all. This book is funny and entertaining, but most of all it was full of good medicine for my marriage. I didn't realize how shrill I'd gotten, and how that was causing such a strain on us until I read the very same conversations that we have in this book. It was eerie, like someone had been recording our conversations. I recognized myself in the pages and I knew the ideas in the book were right. I didn't like the title at all, but i'm glad I looked part that to get to the treasures in this book. My marriage is do much better and I'm happier for it.

I like this book more than I thought I could but I don’t agree with everything. I love love love this book. I’m 31 years old , husband and I have a 2 year old boy so I very much loved the parenting advice. I’m So glad that I read this one now and not 10 years later because even though we are both very respectful with each other , I’m not very controlling and neither is he & we trust us , we also happen to be very stubborn in our own ways. I wasn’t very convinced with the title which in fact it’s what it means and it’s not. You don’t lose your voice or become a slave of your husband but you gain wisdom on “how/where/when and if “to act . This is another level of respect not only for your partner but for you as well, another scale of inner peace & awareness . However I DO NOT AGREE WITH EVERY STEP! -Men can be very “masculine and sensitive” & also love a woman that’s strong minded and not a yes person !they like challenges not always getting their way, my husband loves when I respectfully state my point and don’t agree with his just to please him & I very much reciprocate. -I don’t agree with the “go tell my gfs what’s going on in my marriage to get another point of view” I never tell anyone much and I’m definitely not going to start now, I rather read books and explain my concerns or wonders to my man. -lastly i don’t agree with having to believe in a higher power to consider my husband holly or an amazing creature, I don’t do religion and I do have faith & consider myself very spiritual but I don’t need it to have a strong intimacy and loving marriage. Thank you Laura for your words .

Life changing. The information in this book has been life changing for me. It is the blueprint for married women or soon to be. Read with an open mind and heart.

Shocking. I was very doubtful when my sister told me of this book and approach. Desperate to turn around my marriage I decided to surrender too. The first week I had baffled looks and comments about my attitude and a bouquet of roses (hadnt recieved flowers in well over a year before this!) on my table at the end of the first week and much needed time out!
