Great!!. Greatest one yet!! I've read the series 4 times. I just can't get enough of the USS Walker and it's crew!!

Great book. Love the detail and understanding on military proceedures. Every navy guy would love this book!

Best in the series. I have read all five of the books in the series and this is the best. It has new plot lines and new villains and some old plot lines finally wrapped up. Nothing is easy for Captain Reddy, his crew and the Cats, but that is the point of the thriller. It helps if you have read the previous books in the series. I suspect that there will be several more give what our heroes are up against.

Quirky and Fun!. This series is a departure from cliche' science fiction or fantasy. I find myself really liking and caring about these characters, as if they were old friends. My grandfather's stories about his life in the navy during World War II were never this interesting, but these books make me wish I had payed closer attention. I look forward to the next one with much enthusiasm.

Rising Tide. Rising Tide is a true continuation of the previous book in the series. A little slow getting started, it jumps forward to some extent and the reader has to spend time catching up on the characters and what is going on in the wide flung Grand Alliance. But this book goes farther in introducing, not one, but two human civilizations in this alternate timeline world. This was a throughly enjoyable read. If this is the first book of this series that you've picked up - STOP!! Go back to the beginning and start the series from the beginning. If you read Maelstrom some time ago I recommend going back and reading the last chapter to refresh your memory. Otherwise this was a throughly enjoyable read that I couldn't put down.

Rising Tides. Well thought out, brilliantly spun tale. Compelling read.

The continuing saga.. This book is a great continuation of the Destroyermen series and adds some very interesting twists and turns and new elements to the story. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Grik are going to develop as a race with some of the new concepts that they've introduced. And, how Grik General Halik and the Japanese officer Niwa are going to affect things going forward. They made some interesting comments and have developed a sort of friendship. Further reading will tell the tale.
