Love.. This book continues to be on of my favorites from childhood, and is still one now. I love the pace, characters, plot... it continues to be a personal classic.

It’s okay. I had read it for school because for my reading level I was a 5.8 but I had just gotten done with a different series that was for young adults. Maybe if I had read this book before my other series I may have liked this book more, but I don’t sadly. I am going to read the rest of the series though to finish it off.

Great series!. This series was a staple in the library in grade school. Back then, there was only one book out though. I had always wondered about the City of Ember and wanted to re-read. Excellent, very captivating and detailed. Full of lots of adventure. Suited for all ages! I’m on book 3 out of 4 and I would recommend reading this book

The City of Ember. I liked this book, but's it's not my favorite. I love the feeling when Doon and Lina are trying to figure out what something is, and I desperately want to tell them! That shows the author is not only looking at it from the character's perspective, but also the reader's perspective. This is a pretty good book, and I recommend this to everyone!!!! I can't wait to read The People of Sparks!!!!!!

Not worth reading. I had to read this book in the sixth grade and it was not that good and I was not hooked!!!

The BEST BOOK EVER. Ok, I have to admit, I am sort of picky for a 11 year old girl. But when it comes to books I have to read the one every body is talking about. So I am reading the city of ember and it is sooooooooooo good.😛 Doon and Lina are the most important characters in the book. I ❤️ the book and hope who Evers reading this to read the city of Ember!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👸🏽

AMAZING BOOK. I loved this book and the second one I think it is great and that people of all ages will enjoy int with the perfect amount of surprises, predictabilities, and plot twists this is a must read!

Keep on reading, and it gets good.. I loved this book. Why? I like backstory, mystery (especially if it leads to excitement), and that moment where you have your hopes up and then PLOT TWIST! I finished this book in around 3 ish days reading for an hour or two each night, that is how good this book is. Do yourself a favor. Buy this book.

The city of ember is a good book but the part that I was sad about is when Lena tells her friend her grandmother died I was so sad for her grandmother I know it's just a book but still the book really touched y hart my teacher ms.Fain is reading it to my class and I my friend Alyah has the book to and every times ms.faun reads it she follows along. I love my reading teacher ms.fain she is swasome sweet and awsome makes swasome.

The City of Ember😀. The City of Ember is a really good book. It is a kid friendly book. This book will probably make you want to read more after each chapter. This book will make you a better reader because you will want to read more. This book is so good, it will also encourage you to read more. There is a whole series of these book and I encourage you to read them all. The good thing about this series is that it will probably make you want to find another seires of books. There is a movie to the book but I encourage you to read the whole book first and then you can watch the movie. You could also compare the dfiferences between the movie and the book. AWESOME BOOK. THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING I read in my class at school and hated when I had to put it down I just wanted to read the whole book.

The City of Ember. What a great read! I had read a bit of chapter six with a fourth grade class last month and became hooked, I then downloaded an iPad version. There is suspense, drama, risk, excitement, wonder, fear, you name it, the book is filled with youthful adventure. This book comes highly recommended for upper elementary or lower middle school students.

The City of Ember. This will be a great book for middle school aged kids to read. It's a"what if " kind of story. It kept my attention and I'm 52 yrs old!

Good. Read it! Such a good story, I grew up with Harry Potter and this Is a story that can stand shoulder to shoulder without breaking a sweat.
