Amazing book, deep, dark, violent. This book is beyond good. Between the brilliant blend of sci-fi and fantasy, the heavy conversations about political philosophy, and the all out martial arts carnage; i just love this book. It was a bit too dark for most of my friends, but I have read it many times. Since reading this book I have read many other books by Stover, he has become one of my favs, but nothing touches this book.
Couldn't finish it. It's as darker and deeper than 'heroes die' and is missing the adventure/combat/heroism. just didn't enjoy it enough to finish.
