Shadow Games. Really looked the book!....I did however scan and skip most of the technical stuff. I don't think the story needs it to be engaging.

Okay. Interesting premise, but bad climax and conclusion. The book builds up a good story, but fails to deliver. The characters, mainly both sets of brother and sisters ate very shallow, and need more fleshing out. And the way they buid up the "love" was not realistic. For free i cant complain, but i guess i am!

Very Cool:). I read this book on the intention of being able to kill some time. But once I got into it I couldn't put it down! The story and idea is very cool. It ended incredibly. One doesn't find an author who can end a book that well. I'm defiantly going to read the next books that come out.

Shadow Games. The concept was fun, but too much of the action was extremely convenient. Love scene was gratuitous and not needed. Alex was poorly defined. Tough cookie...wimp...tough...wimp. The Rowans were also I'll-defined. Character consistency is really needed. With all this said, I'm still willing to give the second book a try and decide if it's worth going further.

Shadow games. I absolutely loved this book. My husbands family have a family cabin on lake Cumberland and it was so much fun to read a story that takes place in the area. I'm looking very forward to the other books.

Shadow Games Review. I really enjoyed this book. At first it was a slow read, until the introduction of the shadows. After that, it kept me entrenched in what would happen next. So much so, I looked up shadow people on the internet. Interesting!

Good story but needs some work. The story is creative and interesting and I will be downloading the sequel. However, you need to work on the parts where you are describing the surroundings and especially what they are wearing. Sometimes your descriptions of surroundings are interesting and sometimes boring and your descriptions of what they are wearing feel drawn out. A Writer's Workshop might help with that. Since the descriptions of surroundings seemed to get much better as the story got closer to the end I have high hopes that the sequel will be even better. The storyline itself stayed interesting and I felt it is worth the read. I hope this helps. Thanks, Keith

cool universe. I enjoyed reading this book. The "universe" was interesting and believable. I thought the romantic stuff was kind of awkward and overwhelmed a few of the chapters.. but there was enough intrigue with the overall story to get through it. I would read the next book in this series at some point. I like that the powers are believable and explained scientifically without getting into too much detail. I would be happy with this as a first attempt of writing a book and so should the author.

Enjoyable Read. While I agree with some of the other commenters regarding the pacing of the story, I found myself continually pushing through the slow parts because I needed to know what would happen next. I will definitely read Shadow Spies and hopefully will be hooked through the whole series.

Shadow Games. This book had me hooked. Loved the family relationship the twins shared and how they worked together with one another. I cannot wait for the next book and I will pay for it if I have too.

Shadow Games keeps the mind guessing. Good writing, very different premises and interesting theories, I found myself being lured into the book. Still seems to be a lot of unfinished business and loose ends, guess I might need to read more...

Mixed Emotions!. I don't want to sound too negative in my review as I thoroughly enjoyed this book. My only subtle criticism would be about the final quarter or even less of this story. As I read from the beginning, the author grabbed me quickly and didn't let go... He shook me around upside down until everything fell out of my pockets with the way he built not just the characters, but even more, their relationships. I really liked the continued suspense of not knowing how the next chapter, let alone page would turn out next or unfold. My only let down was that the ending (last quarter) had too many empty boxes... too many unanswered questions... and personally, I felt like it really came to an abrupt end without actually knowing what just happened! It seemed as though the author was almost in a hurry to finish and possibly wasn't quite sure where to go with it next. All in all, it was an entertaining and eventful read. If this was truly his first book, I would venture to go as far as superb! I do believe that this author is probably only going to get better and wish him all the best!!

Fair. Good concept. Needs serious editing. The relationships were not believable and very naive. Too much descriptive writing on the mundane and not enough on the plot. With a little concept work this could have been much better.

Awesome. It took a bit to get into but once I did I was hooked. Sci-fi meets intrigue with just the right amount of romance. It's been a great read and can't wait to get the second book.

Good book. For a amateur I believe the book was excellent however I found that the characters acted or seemed older than they should have.

Enjoyable, but. I really enjoyed the story Mr. Welch is telling here, but there were a couple of things that marred the experience for me. One, a good proofreader would have cleaned up the numerous grammatical errors. Most of these were punctuation, but there were some spelling and vocabulary errors - for example court Marshall instead of court martial. Two, some of the dialogue seemed stilted and unnatural. Sometimes the protagonists, supposedly in their twenties, said things more characteristic of 50 year-old college professors. That said, this was an enjoyable read and a good freshman effort. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next to Paris and Alex.

Good concept, middling delivery. The concept of shadow people is great, and the book could have used this to have been a great read. The writing though was clumsy. Maybe it's just me, but I find it artificial when brothers and sisters refer to each other constantly as 'sis' and 'brother dear'. Over use of sentiment and darling and similar when the story just didn't need it. I found that the prose was such that I skip read to pick the bones of the story out from the superfluous padding. The author has a good concept, but the delivery needs some work. A concept is not enough to carry a book, and I therefore have no desire to read the next book.

Enjoyable read. I enjoyed this book although I felt the middle was it's strength as at took a couple of chapters to get into and lost it a little towards the end. However apart from the rather dramatic love theme the two main characters were engaging although could have been developed a little more. Despite it's shortcomings I thought it was a great idea and would read future books. 3 1/2 stars really.

Fantastic. A great story, I highly recommend it!! The idea of a race of invisible people that coexist with humans is interesting and the plot is engaging. I found myself eager to read on, to the point where I couldn't put it down! I look forward to reading further titles in the series :-)

A fresh idea and a good read. The lovey-dovey parts are a bit slushy, but the plot unfolds at a good pace and it's an enjoyable read. It is an interesting concept and it's got potential for sequels. Yes I'd recommend it, and I'm going to buy the next in the series. If you can read this invisible review, you are obviously one of the shadow people.

Decent Read. I thought this was a pretty good attempt at a first novel. I liked the way the author made some attempt at explaining the science behind the "magic" I'd recommend this to anyone who likes the genre, but what is about ebooks and loosing? Shadow Games. When I first started reading this book, I wasn't sure that I was going to enjoy it. But by chapter 3 I was hooked. Loved the characters and the developing plot line was fascinating. Like the Author I am a compulsive reader, but luckily I have never had the inclination to write. I would never be able to come up with a story anywhere near this good. Thank you for the hours of entertainment .

Shadow Games. this was a great book for my age (mid teens) and was ripe with love and action, yet the final battle between luca and Paris was rushed and not as epic as it deserved and the ending was quite smart yet not and drawn out as it should be but I digress it was a exquisite book and I recommend it to anyone who likes boarderline sci-fi books. keep on writing you've got a talent.

Captivating. What can I say? Within 5 mins of finishing this book I bought the sequel. Don't get me wrong, it's not perfect...and at times you can tell the writer is an amateur. The storyline and plot unfolded perfectly and held me to the last page. It's a story never told before... And an interesting reasoning behind some events in history. Thrilling book. Loved it!. Lots if mystery,Sci-fi, and a little romance! Awesome!

Ok... ish. I was intrigued by the way shadow people were described to exist. Very interesting and creative. I find it scary and intriguing just with the fact regular people cannot see them or "forget" immediately after. All their other abilities seem superfluous to me. (Spoilers) I found it kind of weird the siblings flirted with each other. And while I was hoping not to run into another cheesy romance, somehow this novel has the two perfectly good looking protagonists meet and immediately fall in love with two other perfect looking siblings. The men have overpowering protective issues. Oh and here's a zillion dollars so everything else can be easier for you. Why bother having the father disapprove if he just gets rolled over and becomes part of the group. Give me conflict! Found it a little bland after they never really ended up doing anything... But staying in the house.

NP. I really enjoyed the story and thought it was a good ending. There is room for the story to continue but you don't feel robbed from an ending. A little mushy from the guys perspective but I guess men feel that way about women too. I liked having a male's perspective it was different.

Simply wow. This is an amazing book, top contender with some of my favorites such as the adventures huckleberry Finn and where the children run. I think what makes your story so good is that you gave your story a powerful voice. Very emotionally powerful and moving as well as thrilling and entertaining! Shadow Games. Im not a big reader beaches I have a reading disability. I like Steven King, Dean Coonz, Dan Brown types. I've pick many books up and never finished them. This one I read in a few days! I could not lay it down once the adventure began. Excellent book!
