Awesome. O. M. G. I loved this book! This is the fourth book in the series and it just keeps getting better. The one liners and the laugh out loud moments…just so good. I can’t wait for the next book.

Full Out Belly Laugh. What happens when you get a group of ornery bestie badgers, with some moody tiger brothers? And for even more fun, throw in a bunch of other types of shifters, and you get a belly laugh hilarious book. This book was so funny, and I’m talking full out belly laugh disturb your co-workers at lunch funny. If you want a shifter series that nails it with their human counterparts….look no further, this is it. Because her shifters are so funny because in human form they act exactly like their animal counterparts, so dang funny. I laughed so hard at all of their ornery and impatient shenanigans. When Finn is in Mads way, and she just climbs over him…I almost fell out of bed laughing. The badgers were a handful, just as much as the Malone brothers. Of course the book starts out right away with some action and suspense. Both groups are called into a job, separately, but get to know each other real quick. This book was fast paced, and will keep you glued to the pages, all while keeping you highly entertained. Safe read. With two of the less ornery of the two groups. I would say these two were the calm ones, which really tells you just how ornery all the rest are. I am a huge Charlie fan, because you know she’s Charlie. Great storyline, fast paced, lots of action, and lots and lots of ornery shenanigans….you’re welcome. Lots of old favorite characters, from this series and her pride series…and that made me giddy happy. If you want a laugh a minute, probably literally a minute, this is the book for you, or the author for you. Shelly Laurenston’s over the top humor is one of my favorites. I have read her pride series many times, and it is still just as funny to me now as the first time I read it.

Badger chaos!. Wow! Started slow for me. A bit chaotic. Once the story’s foundation was set, I couldn’t put it down. There will definitely be another. A lot loose ends. Mads and Finn were funny. The usual suspects were there. Loved that. The new characters were very welcome and hilarious! Lots of action, adventure and chaos. All that the Badgers enjoy.

Stopped reading 3/4ths into it.. I typically love her style and writing and have read all other works (including the dragon series). Unfortunately I just couldn’t get into this one. There was a lot of disjointed plot going on and while I really like all of her characters there were just -so many- people in this book I couldn’t really tell if the main couple was really supposed to be the main couple and since I’m giving up on this book about 3/4 of the way through I’m not even sure they are actually going to end up as a couple. I’ll still try out the next one when it comes out but this one was a bummer.

A great Addition to the series. Holy Moly!! Oh My Word!! Goodness Gracious!! Shocking Shifters!! Book Coma!! Rolled on the floor laughing!! Woke the hubby with the giggling!! Stitch in my side and so worth it!!! This is all me during and after reading Breaking Badger, the latest and greatest in the Honey Badger Chronicles. I have to thank the author for bringing back Dez, Cella and Crusher. It brought back so many wonderful memories of The Pride Series. I know that if Dez pops into a story there are crimes happening and shifter carnage will follow. It was time to grab the popcorn and settle in for an exciting story. AMAZING!! This is Mads and Finn's romance but Breaking Badger is so much more. Every time I thought things would be settling down and they could relax someone was getting kidnapped, shot at, threatened or sent on a wild goose chase. Making it better it wasn't just centered around Mads. This was an equal opportunity shifter brawl. Breaking Badger is packed full of action and destruction. I honestly didn't know who was going to be in danger next. LOVED IT!!!! The "you don't have to be blood to be family" dynamics added a lot to the story. The Wisconsin Butchers prove through out the story that they are so much more than a team. They may not want to admit it but they are the best family. Now the only problem is that I am finished. I want to just sit here and wait for the next story. With the Honey Badgers I know that it will be worth the wait.

Chapter to chapter nonsensical. The laughs were there, but the plot/scenes/chapters made no.sense. Even early in the book, 2 to 3, 3 to 4 , had me flipping backwards to get names and families right.

Another mad adventure with the crazy honey badpger shifters. The honey badger shifters are back and the crazy, DNA weird, Mackilligan sisters discover even more anomallies when their new half tiger/half honey badger sibling, reveals her hidden talents. First though, someone targets Mad Max Mackilligan and her basketball team members, also targeted are Max's new sibling's, half brothers, the Black Malone tiger shifters, and crazy Charlie Mackilligan is recruited to play shifter football.

4.25 stars-intense and twisted. 4.25 stars--BREAKING BADGER is the fourth instalment in Shelly Laurenston’s contemporary, adult HONEY BADGER CHRONICLES paranormal series-a spin off from the authors PACK, and PRIDE series. This is honey badger /basketball player Mads Galendotter, and professional football player / Siberian tiger shifter Finn Malone’s storyline BREAKING BADGER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as it pertains to the MacKilligan sisters and family. Told from third person perspective including Mads and Finn, BREAKING BADGER follows several paths including the building relationship between Mads and Finn. Finn Malone, and his brothers Keane and Shay are desperate to find the person(s) who ordered the kill and murdered their father, a father who appears to have been abandoned by the controlling Katzenhaus, and his extended family. With the help of the strange group of honey badger shifters Mads, Nelle, Streep and Tock, whom they met during an op that went all to h*ll, the Malone brothers begin a search for the truth but not before discovering the over the top lifestyle and existence of honey badger shifters. To thank the tigers for saving their lives, the honey badgers offer a token of appreciation that is immediately denied, and with it begins the acrimonious relationship between the tigers and the honey badgers. But as Finn begins to dig deeper into their father’s death, they make themselves targets of a powerful group, who may or may not be connected to the people in charge. Meanwhile Mads and her ‘teammates’ prepare to do battle both on and off the court. Hoping to make the basketball playoffs, the shifters, once again, find themselves targeted when Mads’ extended family accuse our heroine of theft of a priceless family artefact. Mads knows she is going to have to face the family that continue to destroy her life but never expected the help from the new family she has come to love. Again, Shelly Laurenston pulls the reader into an ongoing war between shifter species, discrimination, the fight for power, and the numerous secrets ops groups that control and regulate the shifter community. The level of violence continues to escalate in both human and animal form; there is no forgiveness or sympathy in a world where one is more animal than human. As per Laurenston’s style, the humor and snark between characters is front and center in the dysfunctional family units that are often beyond repair but the bonds of friendship usually make up for years of questionable upbringing. BREAKING BADGER begins a new story line arc, and introduces the reader to a new cast of characters: Mads teammates and friends Nelle, Emily aka Tock, Cass aka Streep; Finn’s brothers Keane and Shay, sister Natalie, youngest brother Dale, and mother Lisa Malone, as well as the Yun mob family. Several familiar faces return for cohesion including honey badgers Max, Charlie and Stevie MacKilligan, Dee-Ann Smith, Niles Van Holtz, Finn’s cousin Cella Malone, bears Berg, Dag and Britta, Panda Shen, Jaguar ZeZe, Lou Cruschek, Dez MacDermott Katzenhaus, The Group, and a cameo appearance by one lion shifter with a thing for his hair, and a feisty wolf dog on roller blades. BREAKING BADGER follows several paths including the slow building relationship between Finn and Mads. Secondary to the storyline premise, the romance is more of an after thought around the 75% mark, a romance that feels like a friends with benefits relationship more than anything else. The fast paced and often frenetic premise is intense, twisted and entertaining; the characters are fun, familiar and sassy.

It just keeps being awesome. I adore this series. Absolutely obsessed with it. Completely crazy characters and it doesn’t matter because they’re all so damn charming. I love them all. The badger books are amazing but you should just read from the beginning so you can really appreciate and get to know the full cast of characters. They’re all unique and special. It’s an absolute joy when another book is published. Seriously, read these books.
