Great for a first novel!. This book was wonderful. If u liked the hunger games then read this, more realistic. I can only imagine that this author will get better as she goes along, cnt wait for the sequel!

Very good but.... I really enjoyed this book. The writing style kept the readers on edge and the plot was interesting and original. However I think the female character, Ember wasn't as strong as I had hoped. The male characters always seemed to come to the rescue. Luckily, at the end, she finally seemed to grow a pair and stand up for herself. Over all, a very good book!

Phenomenal. So glad I found this series! I'm really into dystopian society fiction right now. This is the best series I've read in that category since Hunger Games!

Article 5. This book is absolutely amazing! Just the background behind the plot is enough to hook you. The characters, especially Emma and Chase, have so much life in them and they really make the book that much more personable, pulling you into the world of the author's post-war United States.

Easy good read. This was a quick easy read, but well written also. It kept my attention with some suspense, twists, and action. I thought some of the reactions by the main character in certain situation a little unrealistic but then again who knows for sure how someone would react. I enjoyed it.
