The Revised Version, Standard American Edition of the Bible, more commonly known as the American Standard Version (ASV), is a version of the Bible that was released in 1901. It was originally best known by its full name, but soon came to have other names, such as the American Revised Version, the American Standard Revision, the American Standard Revised Bible, and the American Standard Edition. By the time its copyright was renewed in 1929, it had come to be known at last by its present name, the American Standard Version. Because of its prominence in seminaries, however, it was sometimes simply called the "Standard Bible".
How to Use the Direct Verse Access:
All you need to do is type an abbreviated book name (see complete list of abbreviations), then period, then chapter number, period again, and then verse number and finally press “find” and you will be reading at that particular verse in seconds.
For example, if you wish to select verse 15, chapter 5 of Genesis, you would:
1. Type the standard abbreviation for Genesis, which is “ge” then period, then number "5" and finally period then “15” in other words: ge.5.15
2. Click “find” twice and you are there.

American Standard Bible. Not to be confused with the New American Standard. I thought it was the King James based on archaic language but when I returned to the store (I only had the sample) I saw my mistake.
Perfect for Studies. I followed the directions to go straight to the chapter/verse le.23.15 which is Leviticus 23:15 it went straight to it and even highlighted it for me. The best price also and I am thankful that I didn’t focus on the reviews instead I tried it out for myself.
Like it!. I like very much the direct verse access. Really useful for the iPad Bible. I have been using this version of the Bible for a few weeks. I really like it so far. It is easy to get around... once you learn the abbreviations for the books you want to go to.
Crazy grammar. The grammar in this thing makes Yoda seem normal. The King James version is easier. Don't waste your money. There's a perfectly decent free Bible available.
Find vs Search. The navigation doesn't work. It searches , and searches, and searches. I'm assuming Press Find means Press Search as there isn't a Find you can press. You can't press it twice. A waste of money. I bought it for the Direct Verse Access. Mine is still Searching. I know the abbreviations.
