Far From the Madding Crowd. Fantastic story, obviously. Brutal copy, though. Tons of punctuation errors- whole lines missing in many parts- makes it very frustrating to read.

Good book, bad edition. A great read, although this version is full of typos that can be significantly distracting at times. I suspect it was scanned and the errors never corrected... But for a free copy, can't really complain!

I loved this book!. Depressing at times, but beautiful rendition of rural agrarian life in England prior to the industrial revolution, with wonderful well drawn characters. It takes a lot of patience to read because Hardy carefully crafts the setting, the characters, and the plot. There are moments of great comedy and tragedy, but it does end happily!
