Wildfire. Amazing story

Wildfire!. Having lived in sagebrush country, this brought back wonderful memories. Another Zane Gray that I couldn't put down!

Transcendent. Absolutely teanscendent. Description of the landscape is beyond compare.

A truly great read!. I have read a lot of westerns, yet Zane Grey nailed it on this one. The story is well written and while a bit sad at the end, the book was a true page turner from start to finish. You will love this book, the characters and the horses!

Must read!. Great western novel, with romance and action! Very descriptive, and well written!

Read this as a teenager.... And I absolutely loved it!! "Wildfire" is the story of Lucy Bostil, the daughter of a stable owner, who happens upon Lin Slone, knocked unconscious while chasing his unruly colt Wildfire through the hills. When Lin convinces Lucy to ride Wildfire in the upcoming race, the villainous Cordts will stop at nothing to make sure that it is his horse that wins the race instead. "Wildfire" is a classic tale of western suspense and adventure from one of the most prolific and popular authors of the genre, Zane Grey.

Wildfire. I found this book excellent. kept me in suspense waiting tO read what came next. Zane Gray is a master of writing of the old West. I found the book so hard to put down. I give it 5 stars.

Wildfire. Perhaps one of his best books, great story, original characters I really enjoyed this book he creates the western in front of you I'm surprised I as not been made into a movie
