Good novella!. Review originally posted on Reading Books Like a Boss Holy cannoli! Finally, I got inside Warner's head. Like I said in my Shatter Me review, I find Warner to be a more interesting character. In Destroy Me, Tahereh Mafi introduces you to a different Warner. Well, not different, per se but we are definitely seeing him from another perspective: his. In Shatter Me, we saw Juliette's perception of him, all of opinions are tainted by her own limited knowledge of his true intentions. What she saw in him is not who he really is. Say what?? I just about came out of my seat when Mafi starts to provide small backstories into some of the terrible things Warner had done in Shatter Me. In reality, Warner is just has screwed up as Juliette. Through the journal she left behind, chronicling her time in the insane asylum, Warner begins to see how similarly situated he and Juliette are. You learn that his feelings for her didn't begin when she walked through his door, but began way before. I enjoyed Warner's novella because Mafi took a character who was seemingly cold, hard, and ruthless and cracked him open, revealing a young man full of vulnerabilities and insecurities. A man who has to put on a mask of strength in order to remain in power. A man who is scared of his father and who is just trying to survive in the world since The Reestablishment took it over. The status of his and Juliette's relationship is nonexistent at this point. But I sense some major tension on the horizon. Warner is prepared to fight for her and I don't think he's going to back down easily. I'm hoping we get some great relationship development between Warner and Juliette in the next one since we didn't really get that in Shatter Me.

Destroy me. This book was absolutely great! Couldn’t put it down! Mafi is very good at expressing what the character are feeling with out giving away what they are feeling to the other characters in the book. Really enjoyed Warner’s story

Destroy me. Very good book, without Warrens pov I would still think he’s the bad guy. I see why he’s the way that he is. I feel sorry him.

Excellent. This whole series is absolutely draw dropping. I’ve been re reading these since I first started reading.

Put a finger up.... Put a finger up if u hated a character at first and then read their story and then somewhat began to like them... and then at the very last chapter fell in love with them bc they fed a starving dog... ☝🏼

Another perspective. This book gave us a whole new perspective on Warner. I realize that he’s not who I thought he was and I respect that, he might even be my new favorite character. I recommend this book if you want to know why warner did such horrible things to Juliette (which he has reasons for). I hope you like the book just as much as I did!

Great!!!. This was great!! It changed everything I thought about the books!!! It shocked me and broke my heart! Definitely team Warner now! It's a must read for the series.

amazing. Loved this book! Great to see everything from Warners POV and his family life. This novella is right in the middle of Shatter me and Unravel me. You don’t have to read the novellas but you get a deeper understanding of each character. For me it was worth it!

Amazing. Boy, was this an eye opener! I've loved Warner from the beginning, but some of his actions in Shatter Me were very questionable. This novella revealed so much about Warner, if you thought he was evil it will DEFINITELY change your mind. It gives you a glimpse into life with Warner's awful father and it makes you sympathize for Warner. I found myself crying at some parts of this book. Read it, you won't be sorry!

What team am I? *SPOILER ALERTISH*. I honestly can't decide. This book was so amazing. I think I was on team Warner before, but when Adam talked about his father throwing the beer bottles at him it was just so... Uug! I can't pick!

Loved it. I never liked Warner in the first book very much- just a few select times. After reading this book it really opened my eyes. Defiantly like him way more now. I seriously doubted I would ever like him. After reading the comments I thought, yea right. I'll never like him. But I actually really do now. ❤️💖

Destroy me. I loved Arron’s perspective on what was happening and it really made me think of Arron differently. I hated how short this book was to only took me a day it’s 90 pages.

Beautiful prose. Excellent book that I would recomend to anyone. The writing style is amazing and the author is constantly breaking off into prose... I adore this series. Quick read for me, I couldn't put it down. Some passages honestly brought me to tears. Engaging and well written. Fabulous book.

Team Warner. I had already liked Warner when I read shatter me.. But I LOVE him now!!! This novella gives u a wonderful look inside his mind and his past.. U can really tell he loves Juliette,Way more than Adam does

Wow. The amount of books I've read is an insane amount that I couldn't possibly fathom, (yes, I've read that many) and the ones that have stood out to me in the fiction genre as the best are the Harry Potter series, the mortal instruments, and the shatter me novels. These above all are written the most beautifully, and I have enjoyed these books so much that I've read them more than once, which I never do. All I'm saying is if you want to have no social life and be hauled up in your room for days at a time, then read all of these books. You won't regret it.

Buy it!!!!. This was really eye opening to me because in Shatter Me I truly hated Warner's guts for all of the thing he had said to Juliette but reading this book showed me a much softer and weaker side of the ruthless solider. I can actually say that I like Warner as a character and possibly as a future love intrest for juliette :) I definitely recommend this to anyone who read Shatter Me.

Completely unnecessary. This entire book is at the ending of the fist book of the series absolute waste of money.

Gripping Novella, Electrifying Series. I love this series so much, it doesn’t compare to any other books. This series is written so well it’s utterly mind shattering (pun not intended) that you won’t be getting any sleep with these books unread.
