Speechless. This sequel literally left me breathless: at the end and basically almost in every chapter. The construction of the storyline and characters is so perfectly created by Michelle, that I am still processing everything that happened in the book. Both Noah and Mara grew so much is this novel, and we got to know them so much more. I am praying to god that ___ didn't really die (spoiler) because if he did, she killed off my favorite male character of all time. ALL TIME. I think I just might drop dead if he actually was killed. I don't know how I can wait until October 22 for Retribution, but I guess I'll have to. I could write a novel about how much I love this novel, but honestly, that still wouldn't do it justice. One of, and possibly my #1, favorite books of all time. Good work, Michelle, and thank you for creating such a heart stopping masterpiece.

Un-describable.. Okay, get this book. Even if you aren't a person who enjoys or reads books much, you'll love this. I completely fell in love with the first one, and as soon as I finished it, I made my dad order me the second. JUST GET IT!!!!!!! I honestly can not wait for the next book...😄

The Evolution of Mara Dyer. This is one of those books that completely shock you and make you feel unlike yourself, like you're actually one of the characters and have an emotional connection to them all. When you finish reading it, you won't know what to do. You might just sit there, in shock. You might cry, heartbroken. But i assure you, you won't be able to just forget about it and move on within seconds. People who have read this book understand, and people who haven't yet will when they do. It's beautifully written, each and every chapter ending with a cliffhanger, the characters' purpose shown prominently. It's one of those books that you can't really get over, and it'll haunt us, hidden in the back of our minds until the third and final book comes out. A book that i'm sure we're all dying to read. So if it wasn't obvious, i think this book is amazing, as well as the one before it (the unbecoming of mara dyer) and i encourage you all to read it.

Could Not Put It Down. If you are looking for something new that will leave you guessing till the very end then this series is it.

Loved it. I just finished it last night and I love the comparison to the animal in the cage because it fits Mara so well and I absolutely love her character to pieces as well as Noah. I can't stop reading it's so good!!!

Woah. This was INCREDIBLE! I loved this so much and it gave so many emotions that I wasn't able to handle (in the best way that there could be). I was emotionally attached to the characters and the ending.. Oh goodness, the ending was just... Let's just say many tears were shed. But please read this book if you can!

couldn't have been better. ever since reading the first book in the Mara Dyer trilogy i have been eagerly awaited the second installment, and it was definitely worth the wait. i didn't know it was possible but Michelle Hodkin managed to create a sequel that I enjoyed more than the The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. My only regret is that now i have to wait 12 torturous months for the next book.

Omg. Why does she keep making buildings collapse!!!! She "kills" someone everytime!!! That "someone" bwtter come back :'( :'( that "someone" was my favorite character. Also reading this book started making me scared to look in mirrors and windows. 😢
