Plucked from time. As somebody who grew up obsessed with dinosaurs from practically the beginning I enjoyed this very much. The presentation is dry at times and of course much of the information is outdated but I think there's charm in that. In reading the texts and accounts, and seeing the original dig photos, fossil mounts and reconstructions, you get a feel for what it was like to be back in an exciting time for dinosaur study. There are even the seeds of theories that would become commonplace in the last few decades. It reads like a textbook but any dinosaur fan should enjoy the trip back in time.
