Two Brothers. I liked everything about the book. Great, well defined characters and history.

Historical fiction at its best. This book makes you feel what it must have been like for people of the Jewish faith during the Nazi occupation and Holocaust in Germany.

Mrs. I have just finished this great book It is one of those books that you know is going to be good because you cannot put it down. It has kept me on my toes in as much as I kept thinking I had worked it all out only to find I was wrong. But on saying that it was extremely well written with a lot of passion I would say please buy this book or download and you will not be disappointed it shows what Haman beings will do to survive

Haunting. Fabulous read. Remember when you read a book then it ends...you miss the characters? This is one of those books.

Heart stoppingly beautifully written,such an eye opener of the times,and era it depicts,what extraordinary characters,woven so heroically,tragically,and believably,together,had me in tears,and I don't cry easily as I'm 73yrs old.The utter horror of those times,should b a warning to every human being on this beautiful planet of ours,never....ever....to let it happen again.Do read it,it will hauntingly stay with you a long time💕

Two brothers. Great read, very thought provoking.

Stunning read. Ben Elton is a great story teller and this is another page turner. I was gripped from page 1. It is also a harrowing depiction of how easy life can change and how fickle we are as well as our dedication to survive, sometimes at any cost. Ben does a tremendous job of trying to portray the political situation during each phase of the book, which again is deeply disturbing as it is compelling.

Two Brothers. This is the first book by Ben Elton that I have read. This stands among one of the best books I have read, easy to pick up and very immersing. Although fictional it's easy to believe that these atrocities most likely happened and we have to keep reminding the world they can never happen again. A brilliant book.

Page turner. Best book I have read in ages, never wanted to put it down, but never wanted it to end either.

Very moving. Such a fantastic read. It gives you a real insight in to what life was life in nazi germany. It keeps you guessing the whole way through as to what's going to happen. Definitely recommend this!

Great Read, hard to put down. Just read this whilst on holiday. Was the first Ben Elton book i have read and will certainly read more of his work. Excellent writing, really difficult to put down. Despite the horror of the story and of the things that happened during that time in history it is one of those books that you miss when you finish reading.

An enthralling book. A real page turner. One of the best, and saddest, books I have ever read. Cannot commend it more highly.

Good stories. The very best of stories are those passed down through history to us by family or friends , when those stories reach the ears of a natural teller of such tales who takes the time to adapt them for our enjoyment it is often worth taking the time to immerse oneself in the craft and skill of the storyteller . This book is one such occasion .

Absorbing,brilliant read. This is one of the best books i have read in a long time. The characters come to life with each page,it also makes you realise how the Jews were really treat even before WW 2. Would read it again.

Excellent. Brilliantly written, as ever with Ben Elton's books. Could not put it down. It really takes you on an emotional journey through one of the darkest periods in the 20th century. I know it's work of fiction, but as some of the events of the book are based around actual events from his own family history, it has much more of factual feel to it. I'd highly recommend this book.

Brilliant. Ben Elton is a master story teller! This book kept me reading from chapter one! Constantly gripping and littered with history I wasn’t totally aware of. A story of hope, pain and love. I only wish that he was never able to write this and what he depicts never happened. Read this book!

An emotive, captivating and scenic walk between the past and present. If you're a modern history enthusiast you'll love this book. Although this is fiction, it accurately tells the many struggles of Berlin's people through the eyes of four intriguing characters. If you liked 'Alone in Berlin' H. Fallada or 'Stasiland' by the Australian A. Funda you'll also not be able to put this one down. You'll not be disappointed with the twists and turns this book has to offer. I struggled with trying to pace myself a difficult book to try and put down.

Stunning. This is by far one of the best books I have read in the last couple of years. Took it on holiday with me, and found it a real page turner. Well thought out characters and a thought provoking subject and story line make this an unmissable read.
