Decent plot but.... I read the whole thing only to flesh out the plot. The timeline is really badly handled. There are references to Vietnam and then talking about things like caller ID, big screen TVs and cell phones all of which are mid-late 80s and 90s references. The timeline of events don't match. Also the conversation styles if the characters just are not realistic. They are overly formal and frankly cheesy. I would pass on this read if I had it to do over again.

Good enough if time warps. It's an enjoyable enough book, but it is really hard to wrap my mind around a woman old enough to have been a young adult during the Vietnam war and close to someone who 'later' was involve in events that happened around 1966, and still be as young as described with a cell phone and a tight budget. Even my wealthy friends didn't have cell phone until the early nineties. However, if you completely disregard actual historical facts with willing suspension of disbelief, the book has good internal consistency.

Ok. Idea was ok but the character dialogues were abnormally long and really sappy.

Don't waste your time. The book was overly formal. A woman who was sixteen then get married to be a young adult during the Vietnam war to still be a young adult to fall in love with an nfl player.....is anybody else confused?????

Great Story!. Nursing a broken spirit(heart) this book made me smile :)
