Precision Rifle Basics. Save your money. This "book" was over in a millisecond. It only has TWO chapters! In the second chapter it brings up ancronyms and doesn't even name what they stand for. This is really a Snipers Hide sales brochure. If you want the "book" on marksmanship fundamentals, by the Army Sniper Training Manual App. Complete content, much less money.

Well put together, good information.. There is a lot more information in this book than initially meets the eye. This was well done and not too complicated. A good beginning, as the title "Day One" implies. I am looking forward to additional books.

Short but sweet. I downloaded the book this morning. I'll admit, my first thought was that the book was pretty short, only 25 pages. Then I started reading the book and watching the videos that went along with it. The ability to combine print and video is pretty awesome, modern technology is so cool. You can get a lot more information into 25 pages when it's clear and concise with video reinforcement. I skimmed through the print portions pretty quick since I'm at work, I'll go back and read them in depth later. The videos were all very informational and well done, I like the parallax one especially. To some I'm sure this will all be boring fundamentals, but to anyone who is newer to the sport of tactical shooting there is some seriously great information in here. I could have used this info all in one place about 5 years ago, would have saved some serious time and shortened the learning curve. Concerning the videos I have to say well done, again! A lot of shooting videos look like they're done with a consumer grade camcorder and a cheap tripod if you're lucky. I know we discussed before what went into these videos, but others should know that these are top notch professional HD videos with good sound and editing, not thrown together at home or with free labor from the local community college.

Good First Book. This covers the fundamentals of precision really well but I agree that for the price, there simply isn't enough content. At half the price, it would've been on target.

Excellent Primer. Professionally done. This is the perfect primer to recommend to that beginner or intermediate shooter who wants you to mentor him. I always send them away to “Come see me once you’ve viewed ‘Day One’… Twice”.

Good but not enough. The content and quality of this book is good but it isn't enough to justify the cost.

Well worth the $13. I can't believe someone complained about the cost of a $12.99 book... I think this book is really well put together. It's focus is on the basics and the fundamentals of marksmanship. Too many try to short cut the fundamentals by spending money and not correctly practicing the fundamentals. When you consider the average cost of match ammunition is $30, at $13 to learn how to shoot correctly is a bargain. My day job is in visual arts and quality training materials start at about $50. Video training can cost well over $100 a shot. With this iBook you get not only the book itself but video as an added bonus. If this were related to my profession, even at it's shorter length, this book would cost $30 easy. Don't get me wrong, I would also like to see more text on more subjects - and I hope they come, but as far as the basic fundamentals go, this covered everything I was hoping for at half the price for a single box of 308. When you consider the videos included, I think this is a great tool.
